Ok, I've finally moved away from the starting blocks with a single page layout using some OA and SC paper. I'm trying to take a liberal approach to embellishing and using paper so I cut into that OA with wild abandon and then when I immediately decided I'd cut it too short I took it as an excuse to use some border stickers to cover up the seam I ended up with.

I usually fail miserably at these challenges, but what the heck! Had some scrapping time with friends this weekend, so I’m at 7/50🙂

I'm late, late, late to the party, but I'm in with the caveat of my Elle Studio subscription and adhesive. I had a long scrappy weekend last weekend, bought nothing, but completed 18 pages.

I've made a start - 1 card and 1 PL page. Looks like I may aim to reach 50 before I get the new goodies I had ordered anyway as they got delayed in the post and I had fly home before they arrived! Ah well, they'll be there for when I next go back to the UK or someone comes to visit me!

can't even imagine being organised enough to do 18 pages in a weekend! I prepped page kits in the fall, and they've been sitting for months. It was much quicker than having to start from scratch, which is where I am now.

I've had a good week so far, and now have 5 pages completed. I can't quite decide what to scrap next which probably means I'll play around online and then decide it's too late and I need to go bed and get nothing else done tonight.
I hope everyone else is making progress.

emmak, I love your little deer marker on your ticker. Great job finishing all those pages and not purchasing anything, auntmimi . I had better be done my 50 before our in person spring crop, b/c if I am scrapping with others, seeing how they are using new products, and seeing those products for sale right at the venue, I will be like Wilma Flintstone... "CHARGE it!" After a flurry of activity spurred by the fact I was hosting a pop up virtual crop yesterday, I managed to finish FOUR layouts! (a one page and a two-page during the crop, and two more double page spreads started last night and finished this morning).

I finished my 2nd LO, so 48 to go. But...I shopped. I caved to PC Vicki Boutin Fernwood bundle. Now I am chilly again, lol!

I've been worried I would cave at some point, the pinkfresh releases will test my willpower, and I have no doubt I'll falter at some point. That's ok, I'll just reset my counter and start again. I don't want to miss out on things I really love because of this challenge, I really want to stop myself from buying the things that are just ok and this makes me pause before I finalise any orders.

Finally finished a LO yesterday that I was having a major creative block over. I’ve been futzing with it over a week. I’m still not completely happy with it - mainly the title. I couldn’t find any thickers or other alpha stickers that worked. I settled, but still may go back and change. I might look for some stamps that would work and fussy cut them.

I have been on a card making binge so have made some unexpected progress. I am 3 layouts, 20 cards, and 5 videos in. So by my loosey goosey rules I am 23 in. We’ll see…….. 😅😅 Here is my latest video, which is a process video for one of the layouts! Layout Process Lucky #13: Just Chillin' youtu.be/_XWT1JOGOoI

I decided to credit myself two layouts for the 8 cards I put together over the weekend.
Still a long way to go, but still tons of product in here to play with...

well done vexedangel and grammadeeI don't think I'm going to count my cards - they're only using up scraps not actual product really. That said I've made 36 (6 sets of 6) so far this weekend - and I still have DD album scraps left. At this rate I'll have all my Christmas cards done for next December...

Ok, 5/50! AND I pulled the next Best of Both World's kit for Shimelle (February) out of my stash. We are scrapping 4th of July pics with the WRMK "Old Glory" scrapbook kit, which I aquired circa 2012/13! and there is still soooo much left of it! I cannot fathom why I needed a massive paper stack for 4th of July. Anyway, that is the "kit" I am working with for February.

frugalchick well done on 85 lo's! My brain is starting to hurt thinking about how long that would take me to create, you must be so pleased with what you've accomplished already.

I'm still sitting at 2 12x12 and a few more pages done in my DD. I haven't scrapped much this month. I'm hoping to turn that around this weekend. frugalchick that's AMAZING!! I don't do 85 pages in an entire year! That must feel so good!

I'm off to a great start this year -but am currently stuck on my current layout...I tried something different (clustering) and I dunno...it's just not coming together
Good news is I haven't really been tempted to shop - I'm in HL at least weekly - DH likes to shop there so it's part of our grocery and errand rota (I don't drive so we shop together). I did see a paper pad I really liked but...I have so much paper and paper pads in particular take SO long to use up

I am not allowed to buy any more paper pads. Or paper for that matter lol. I tend to forget I have the paper pads and forget to use them. I have hard time with clusters too. Chinagirl828 and kitbop are masters at it! Once in a while I can make one come together that I'm happy with.

linda and joyfulnana, this video really helped me with clusters. Be warned, it really is for beginners, so if you get impatient, you can just skip forward a bit. But Janet from RTS assumes (rightly so in my case when I first watched it) that you have no idea how to make a cluster and make it cute and fun, or any concept of design principals, so she starts at the basics and works from there. I found it VERY helpful, as the ones at the beginning are super basic, and ones she has at the end are very cool. Plus, as always she is positive and encouraging. Here's the link. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkJ37l8Aw5Q

Thanks kmage ! I have started that video but never finished. I'll take another look and try to finish! Videos are hard for me, I much prefer reading lol. I also much prefer reading to videos! That's why I hate looking at the news on the computer, lol. But this is truly worth it, I promise...especially to see how she goes from the very basic to something you'd see in a magazine. It really really helped me.
