My BIL is on his THIRD round.
First time in Dec 2020 before he was vaxxed.
Second time was after he was vaxxed with two shots.
Now he's vaxxed and boosted, and has it again!
I'm not sure how careful he is. I know they do not wear masks at his place of employment (it's a motorcycle dealership and they have pictures online). He may, I'm not sure.
He's 48 and not immune compromised or anything.

Vaccines aren't 100%. Some people only develop 50-60% immunity. Others high 90's. The vaccine isn't meant to stop you from getting covid but instead have a mild, non life threatening case.
I know of community members who have had it 2 times, some both cases after vaccination.
It makes me wonder how weak their immune system is.
I do not build immunity to MMR and Pneumococcal.

Several guys my hubby has worked out with and at least a dozen whom my hubby works with.
Not surprisingly they’re all anti-vaxx, verbally and violently so.

A cousin on England is on her third round. Her whole family has gotten it three times. They are vaxxed and boosted, as far as I know, but aren't particularly careful judging from Facebook photos

3 of my coworkers (mostly virtual) have gotten it multiple times but I'm not sure how careful they've been (there's been some travel) and I'm not sure of their vax status.

I’d be curious how careful people are being who have had it multiple times. I’ve heard of people getting it again but I don’t know if any. I just tried to count and I only know about 8 people who have had it once.

I don’t know anyone who has had it three times, but remembering all those pictures of Sturgis make me wonder that even if he is careful, he’s in a job dealing daily with a ton of people who are not. Which put him at higher risk of exposure, even vaxxed.

That’s a lot of times to get any illness. Hope he feels better soon.
I had a friend get the flu three times in one year. It was so obviously bc he had ground his immune system to nothing with tons of stress. I stand by my non-M.D. diagnosis about stress 😊. But we will never know bc he refused to go to the doctor bc he had too much work to do 🙄.

Me! I had it in December 2020 and was super sick and in bed for 14 days. Felt like I had a really bad flu. Lost my sense of smell and taste for two months. Felt extremely fatigued for around three months. I have had both vaccinations since then but not my booster. My daughter and I both tested positive yesterday. We both had flu like symptoms and I decided to get us tested. I feel like I have a really bad cold. Hoping neither of our symptoms get worse.

College aged relative probably has it a second time right now. They are super careful as their mother is immuno-compromised but got it at work both times.
First time in 2020 - pre-vaccine and totally asymptomatic Currently waiting on test results and presuming positive - vaxed and boosted - mild symptoms

My two (antivaxx) sisters have had it go through their households twice and three times. Other than that, I don’t personally know anyone who’s even had a breakthrough case. (I expect that to change, though… Omicron is not a choosy bitch.)

My neighbors, husband & wife, both had it twice.
Once back in the summer, both fully vaxed. Again right after Christmas, both fully vaxed & boosted.

I know a few people who had it prevaccine then post vaccine prebooster. I know of one person who has had it three times: prevaccine, post vaccine and then post booster. She is a healthcare worker and she is also 6 months pregnant.

I don’t know her personally, but another mom in a group I’m in has had it 4 times. We know enough of the same people that I believe her. She’s vaccinated and boosted. She had it at least once before vax. Pretty much every 4-6 months she is getting Covid. Her body does not seem to hold in to the antibodies and whatever that help protect you. She has long Covid and some scary heart issues after her 1st round. She was the poster child for fitness and living a healthy life.
Another mom in the group is on her 2nd round. Her first was before vaccine. She’s also boosted.

A friend of mine just had round two. He was very sick the first time (got it taking his sick father to the hospital); he is now vaxxed, and had a mild case.
I don’t really know his daily behavior. He lives in NYC, and got it during the mass outbreak last month there.

I just tried to count and I only know about 8 people who have had it once. The people I know who have had it multiple times are all in Texas. They're vaccinated but they also don't wear masks or take any other kind of precautions to mitigate risk. I know a lot of people indirectly who have had covid (friends of friends or family) but I can only think of 11 people I know personally who have had it. Sadly one of them passed away from it.

One of my facebook friends currently has it for the 3rd time. She may have gotten it the first time before she was boosted, but I know she had the first two shots by that time. She does work out of the home, so has contact with people.

Yes. My 30 year old son had it in January 2021, had vaccines in the spring and then had Covid again in September 2021. My dad also had it twice--in February 2021, was vaccinated, then had it again in November.

Yep, 2 and 3 times over.. mainly people I work with.. nurses in fact. Nurses who go to Sturgis rallies or drive up into the mountains where at the beginning were our biggest hot spots... I am a bit bitter about that. One nurse was mad because she used up all her covid paid time and had to use her personal sick time. Meanwhile I'll lose my 80 hours that I never had to use as of 2/12/22. If I get covid after that, I might be able to use FMLA but our built in 80 hours expires. So I will probably get it 2/13/22. It's the ones that don't care that I am bitter about.. not the ones who get it several times even though they are taking every precaution.. that sucks for them..

No one I know. However, I do know several who are boosted who recently caught it for the first time and symptoms ranged from flu like to none at all. I think it’s likely the Omicron variant that’s the culprit and they all caught it while unmasked around other family members.

Yes I’ve had Covid twice (as well as 2 of my 3 kids and ex). Both pre vaccines in March 2020 and Nov 2020. Everyone of us is vaccinated and boosted and “careful” so 🤞🏻a third time isn’t in the cards.

I know at least two people who have had it twice. Now, I may know more than that, but people aren't always forthcoming with that info and/or I can't always keep up with/remember the COVID situations of everyone I know.
But I do know of at least two people who had it before there were any vaccines, recovered, were vaccinated, and who then had break-through cases.
In one of those cases the person tested positive the 2nd time after a large family gathering, and other relatives went on to test positive as well.

My daughter’s boyfriend has had it twice-the first prior to vaccines and then a couple weeks ago. First bout was mostly stomach issues and this time was a sore throat.
Oddly my dd (vaccinated and boosted) has not had it (and has been tested for antibodies), but has been directly exposed more than a dozen times (through roommates and their friends and her boyfriend and his friends). She is currently applying for a study that looks at people who have not gotten it, but exposed to it often. Hope she qualifies, it would be interesting to find out why.

I know a handful of people who have it twice and a friend's son who works in healthcare has had it three times - twice pre-vaccine and once since vaccine.

This is one of those things that makes me wonder. There are so many anti vaxers claiming they have extra immunity by getting COVID naturally and without a vaccine. Having natural immunity. Yet both vaccinated AND non vaccinated are getting it numerous times? So wouldn't they both be building up a natural immunity....yet they are still getting it. Hopefully not bad, and not putting them in the hospital, but still...ya wonder..why?
