I know someone who just had it for the third time. He's vaxed and we've had mask mandates for most of the pandemic.

I know several people who have had it twice. They are mostly vaxed though I don't know about boosters.

No, we don't know anyone who has had it more than once. Except my husband who diagnosed himself that he had it a few times (I am being sarcastic).
All of our family/friends have been vaccinated and boosted. Only one has gotten covid after being vaccinated and he just had a runny nose. It was the summer so he thought it was allergies. Got tested because was going to see his elderly mom and his wife insisted he get tested. No one else in their vaccinated family that lives in their house got it.
We always wear masks in public, and being vaccinated and boosted feel very safe! If we did get covid (small chance) we hope/trust that vaccine will keep us asymptomatic or minor problems. The only reason we wear masks still is to protect ourselves and other vaccinated people/children under 5.

Up until two weeks ago, I didn't personally know anyone who'd had it once, let alone multiple times. Give it another year or so and I'm sure I will.

My contractor and his family are on their second time. They are unvaccinated.

I know three people on round 2. They all had it once before vaccines, and then again in the last couple of weeks. Only one was boosted and vaxxed, very mild case, and the other two were vaccinated and had not gotten boosted yet.

Vaccines aren't 100%. Some people only develop 50-60% immunity. Others high 90's. The vaccine isn't meant to stop you from getting covid but instead have a mild, non life threatening case. I know of community members who have had it 2 times, some both cases after vaccination. It makes me wonder how weak their immune system is. I do not build immunity to MMR and Pneumococcal. I also don’t build immunity to MMR. Same with my mother and older sister.

Yep one of the paraprofessionals that works in my room had the first first two variants and I’m pretty sure she has Omicron right now. She’s been home throwing up with a severe headache for 4 days now. She can’t find anywhere to test. She’s fully vaccinated and boosted and only 20!

This is one of those things that makes me wonder. There are so many anti vaxers claiming they have extra immunity by getting COVID naturally and without a vaccine. Having natural immunity. Yet both vaccinated AND non vaccinated are getting it numerous times? So wouldn't they both be building up a natural immunity....yet they are still getting it. Hopefully not bad, and not putting them in the hospital, but still...ya wonder..why? I think some people just naturally have really poor immune systems so they catch every little thing no matter what. I know a few people who are almost always constantly sick with one thing or another. You would think eventually after having all these illnesses they would be immune to at least some of it, but no.

My dd just had it for the 3rd time and my nephew’s partner also had it then.
Both fully vaxxed & boosted. But both of them are the people who catch anything going around.
Other dd has had it twice pre-vaccine but she’s a not so careful college student.

Makes me think it’s a real shit virus worse then the yearly reoccurring flu without long lasting immunity whether from vaccines or previously having it. Imagine how awful it’d be without any extra measures like vaccines or masks or distancing et al.

I don’t know anyone who has had it three times, but remembering all those pictures of Sturgis make me wonder that even if he is careful, he’s in a job dealing daily with a ton of people who are not. Which put him at higher risk of exposure, even vaxxed. Yes. It's definitely a party atmosphere where he works. I do think he tries to be careful as he seems scared of COVID, and calls it a hot bed of germs (and other things) but can only do so much.

I only personally know a handful of people who have it (close friends or relatives, not talking coworkers necessarily). One friend was horribly sick this week with all the symptoms of Omicron, but didn't/isn't getting tested so we'll never know for sure. That would be her second time with it (first time Christmas 2020). She's not vaxxed and not particularly careful.
