Do you know people that have had COVID multiple times?

Several guys my hubby has worked out with and at least a dozen whom my hubby works with.

Not surprisingly they’re all anti-vaxx, verbally and violently so.

3 of my coworkers (mostly virtual) have gotten it multiple times but I'm not sure how careful they've been (there's been some travel) and I'm not sure of their vax status.

I don’t know anyone who has had it three times, but remembering all those pictures of Sturgis make me wonder that even if he is careful, he’s in a job dealing daily with a ton of people who are not. Which put him at higher risk of exposure, even vaxxed.

Me! I had it in December 2020 and was super sick and in bed for 14 days. Felt like I had a really bad flu. Lost my sense of smell and taste for two months. Felt extremely fatigued for around three months. I have had both vaccinations since then but not my booster. My daughter and I both tested positive yesterday. We both had flu like symptoms and I decided to get us tested. I feel like I have a really bad cold. Hoping neither of our symptoms get worse.

One person I know have has had it twice. Once between initial vaccines doses, once long after.

My neighbors, husband & wife, both had it twice.

Once back in the summer, both fully vaxed.
Again right after Christmas, both fully vaxed & boosted.

I don’t know her personally, but another mom in a group I’m in has had it 4 times. We know enough of the same people that I believe her. She’s vaccinated and boosted. She had it at least once before vax. Pretty much every 4-6 months she is getting Covid. Her body does not seem to hold in to the antibodies and whatever that help protect you. She has long Covid and some scary heart issues after her 1st round. She was the poster child for fitness and living a healthy life.

Another mom in the group is on her 2nd round. Her first was before vaccine. She’s also boosted.

The people I know who have had it multiple times are all in Texas. They're vaccinated but they also don't wear masks or take any other kind of precautions to mitigate risk. 

I know a lot of people indirectly who have had covid (friends of friends or family) but I can only think of 11 people I know personally who have had it. Sadly one of them passed away from it. 

One of my facebook friends currently has it for the 3rd time. She may have gotten it the first time before she was boosted, but I know she had the first two shots by that time. She does work out of the home, so has contact with people.

Yep, 2 and 3 times over.. mainly people I work with.. nurses in fact.  Nurses who go to Sturgis rallies or drive up into the mountains where at the beginning were our biggest hot spots... I am a bit bitter about that.  One nurse was mad because she used up all her covid paid time and had to use her personal sick time.  Meanwhile I'll lose my 80 hours that I never had to use as of 2/12/22.  If I get covid after that, I might be able to use FMLA but our built in 80 hours expires. So I will probably get it 2/13/22.  

It's the ones that don't care that I am bitter about.. not the ones who get it several times even though they are taking every precaution.. that sucks for them..

I know of at least 3 people who have had it 2 times, they are not vaccinated.

I know at least two people who have had it twice. Now, I may know more than that, but people aren't always forthcoming with that info and/or I can't always keep up with/remember the COVID situations of everyone I know.

But I do know of at least two people who had it before there were any vaccines, recovered, were vaccinated, and who then had break-through cases.

In one of those cases the person tested positive the 2nd time after a large family gathering, and other relatives went on to test positive as well.

My daughter’s boyfriend has had it twice-the first prior to vaccines and then a couple weeks ago. First bout was mostly stomach issues and this time was a sore throat.

Oddly my dd (vaccinated and boosted) has not had it (and has been tested for antibodies), but has been directly exposed more than a dozen times (through roommates and their friends and her boyfriend and his friends). She is currently applying for a study that looks at people who have not gotten it, but exposed to it often. Hope she qualifies, it would be interesting to find out why.

This is one of those things that makes me wonder. There are so many anti vaxers claiming they have extra immunity by getting COVID naturally and without a vaccine. Having natural immunity. Yet both vaccinated AND non vaccinated are getting it numerous times? So wouldn't they both be building up a natural immunity....yet they are still getting it. Hopefully not bad, and not putting them in the hospital, but still...ya wonder..why?
