Both. In the winter it's generally two-piece pajamas. In the summer it's often a nightgown because I find them cooler.

I used to sleep in a tshirt/tank until I started sleeping with DH. Now I sleep in my birthday suit. I don’t like sleeping in anything now. Between end of workday and bed, it depends on season/temperature.

No matter the temperature and it almost every location I sleep naked. I run hot and have very sensitive skin, the worst being my upper arms.

For many years I wore a nightgown. At some point I began to wear pajamas and now could never return to a gown.
I have summer and cold weather pajamas. My favorite for cold weather are flannel lined, satin on the outside. I have flannel sheets for winter and the satin slides over the sheets.

Side note: When my mother was drifting into dementia, she would only wear a blue satin nightgown, about knee length. She wore it EVERY night until the thing was ripping apart from washing etc. She had to go to the hospital and one sister tore up the town to find a blue gown for when she returned home (and was out of the hospital gowns). Apparently Mom forgot her obsession during those weeks and had no interest in the gown that my sister had hunted for days to find.

I wear pj sets- specifically ones from soma. I wear an insulin pump and I like that soma pjs have pockets to put my pump in.

Either one, as long as it's warm. The warmer the better.

I have a bunch of 2 piece that I wore forever. Lately I can't stand having the bottoms on when I'm sleeping. Our sheets are nice and warm, have a blanket and then a light comforter, so sleeping in just a top and undies is more than fine. I leave my pants right next to me when I go to bed so I can just slip them on if I have to get up for some reason.
I do have a nightgown that I sometimes wear in the summer. But have a feeling I'll just be wearing tshirt/undies then as I don't like when things ride up. That could be part of why I don't like wearing the pj pants at night. The legs always end up at my knees.

Only 2 piece PJs for me. Shorts or capris in the summer and long pants for the winter. I flip around too much at night to deal with a nightgown riding up or twisting around on me. These days I sleep much hotter than I used to but still want something on my legs at night. I usually wear flannel pj pants to lounge in before bed so I’m wearing something warmer when I take the dogs out for their last potty break of the night, but switch to a lighter weight pants to actually sleep in because the flannel pants get too hot.
I have an irrational fear of needing to run out of my house in the middle of the night so if that ever were to happen I want to have clothes on. Last fall I was staying in a hotel and the fire alarm went off at 2:00 am and everyone in our tower had to quickly evacuate. 😳 😱 I was never more happy to be wearing something decent when I went to bed. Some of those other people out there on the sidewalk at 2:00 am? Not so much. 😬😬😬
My kid hates getting up and changing from warm pjs into cold clothes in the morning, plus she’s not a morning person to begin with. After struggling with helping her get ready for school for years, now she showers at night and puts on her next day’s clothes to sleep in (usually joggers or leggings and a t-shirt). Since I remember how much I too hated that as a kid especially in the winter, I let her do it. Now she has to get up even earlier at 6:15 am and it’s much less of a struggle for her and for me. Whatever. She’s clean, she doesn’t stink and it works for her.

I always wondered who wears actual pajamas. Now I know. 😀
No pajamas for me, ever. A cotton cami and underwear. That’s it. 365 days a year. Top sheet, light blanket, every once in awhile a light quilt. Our room is 63-65 degrees.

Just a t shirt and never any undies (except during that time of the month). My Mom always said the girl bits need to air out. For years I slept nude because DH did, but once I hit my 40’s I started to feel like I need something on in case of a fire or emergency. So I wear a Tshirt and have pants next to the bed. On super cold winter nights I will wear wide-leg PJ pants, but I end up tearing them off in the middle of the night.
I LOVE the idea of wearing a cute nightgown or a 2-piece pant set, but I feel too claustrophobic and I hate the bunching/twisting.

Variety. Some above the knee nightgowns. Some sleep shorts and camis. Some lightweight sleep pants and camis. Everything is lightweight and no sleeves. I tend to sleep hot, so lightweight is important. I just don't love sleeping naked, never have. I don't have issues with being naked lol it's just not the most comfortable way for me to sleep ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Neither..
I wear a tee shirt and jammie pants around the house before bed. When I get in bed I shed the pants and wear a tee shirt. It's the most comfy.. not to hot, not to cold... If I am cold I put my electric blanket on low for about 20 minutes and turn it off. Nightgowns for me are a pain in the rear.. they just twist all over..

I used to wear whatever, but I am now on a self improvement journey.
I decided to buy several pairs of pajamas for myself and to wear them to bed every night.
I like the 2 piece Soma pajamas, but I also bought a pretty floral satin pair from Victoria Secret which are really cozy.
My best tip is to buy a size up to prevent weird things from happening when tossing and turning.
I have a slip I can wear for when I want to blow dry my hair (you know so I don't have to get fully dressed or put on old pajamas)

It's short pajama bottoms and a matching short sleeve pj top and I only wear them when we travel. I normally sleep in a t-shirt, tank top style in summer and short sleeve in colder months, with undies, except when we travel- then I break out my travel jammies just in case!
