Well, he really showed Governor Inslee, didn’t he? What a senseless death. ☹️

Wow, I had not seen this yet. Unbelievable, sad, preventable. He did not lead by example but I hope maybe someone will learn from his foolishness.

I know this is absolute conjecture, but do you think he ever reached a point where he went, “Oh, shit. Maybe I should have.” Or does he think, every step of the way, that he’s still going to get better?
Or his family, since they didn’t “do vaccines.” Does this change anyone’s mind?

You certainly hear stories like that from medical personnel - people begging for the vaccine when they’re about to be intubated. But you also hear stories of the ones who double down on their anti-vax stance, and their families do, too. It really feels like cult behavior.

I have to say that before the pandemic, I honestly had no idea how many stupid people there are. It’s really frightening.

Covid confirmed it.
Re: Lamay - what is it "old school" LEOs used to like to say about preventable deaths?
Oh, yeah: "If only he would have COMPLIED...."

Oh well. I had a patient the other night, with COVID pneumonia, telling me he was anti-vax and only wants natural remedies.
Then why the fuck you here getting antibiotics and steroids...
But whatever.

I wonder about that too. A teacher at my husband's school just lost her husband to Covid. Late 50s, approaching retirement, recently became a grandpa to twins, unvaccinated. It's really sad, but geez. It didn't have to be like this. Another local guy mid-50s has been in a Covid unit in a Twin Cities hospital for a few weeks. He's a nice guy. Kids are in high school. It is unlikely that he'll make it and if he does, what will his life be like? Not vaccinated. It would have cost our government about $25 to prevent his death or this ridiculously long hospital stay.

But let me get you those all natural antibiotics 😂 People are so weird sometimes.

But he obviously wasn't there for the "natural" remedies or he would have died at home of his natural pneumonia. Lucky for him he's going to be ok and doesn't need a natural ventilator. 🙄

I’ve been hearing that families left behind of the anti-vaxx crowd just blame doctors for not trying hard enough, or blame the liberals. It’s a cult.

Ya know, I just can’t muster any sympathy for him. For as obstinate and hateful he and his ilk have been through all of this, I’m just done. with. them. Good fucking riddance. I have sympathy for those who did everything right and were damaged in the wake of his recklessness; his sane loved ones, people he infected, people he had influence over.

I have to say that before the pandemic, I honestly had no idea how many stupid people there are. It’s really frightening. Same here. Before Trump and the covid pandemic, I thought most people were smart, good and would do what they could to help others. I don't believe that anymore.
