So why are no Fritos to be found anywhere?!
I went to 4 stores and 2 beverage drive they’d looking for them and nothing!
Did I miss a notice of a shortage or something?
Also all the stores that I went to today were totally out if any kind of frozen potatoes—French fries, tater tots, hash browns, waffle fries…

I wonder if it has to do with where you live. All 3 of my local stores had Fritos and some frozen potatoes.
Have you tried Walmart's brand? I actually prefer them over the name brand. Also, my Walmart is able to keep their brand name things in stock.

I just bought frozen fries to test out the air fryer function on our new microwave. There were plenty here. I didn’t look for Fritos. I couldn’t find any gumdrops for DH this week at four different stores. They’re his favorite candy.

I never buy Fritos so I don’t know about their availability, but today was the first time I’ve seen any kind of frozen potatoes at the store in probably a month.

I just bought Fritos at Safeway (SF Bay Area) a few days ago. The aisle seemed well stocked. Don’t know about frozen potatoes, but I’ll check when I go back this coming week. Oh, I did see frozen hash browns at Trader Joe’s. (My mom drags me to 2-3 different shops sometimes.)

I've been able to find fritos but no Sun Chips. Frozen hash brown patties are scarce at Kroger. Oh and Diet Coke is hit or miss (I just picked up my grocery order and they had NO diet coke)

Also, my Walmart is able to keep their brand name things in stock. I ordered for pick up from Whole Foods their brand if corn chips—they had them and we like them too. I did look for store brands in the grocery stores I went to today and no corn chips, and none of that puff butter/cheese hull-less pop corn. Snyder had a version of it and it was weird (not normal) looking, tiny little chunks.

My husband is chomping on Fritos right now, next to me, and he just got them at the store this morning. So it must be dependent on area. Sorry you are having a shortage - he loves them!

The Frito shortage has been here for a few months now. For those in Texas, the HEB brand is good according to DH (I am not a Frito fan). Frito Scoops and Frito Bar-B-Q flavor have been available for most of that time. Last week I was able to get a couple of smaller bags of regular Fritos at my HEB. DH will just have to make those last for now.
Frozen potatoes - of any brand - have been hit or miss for me. I posted a photo a couple of weeks ago of a totally empty frozen potato section (5 complete sections!). The next week the same section was maybe 20% filled. Then empty again the following week. Grab them when you see them seems to be the lesson here.

We are gutting our kitchen (that doesn't even have a microwave) and I need to buy one. Love to know how your air fryer function works. Thanks!

Original Pringles seem to be in short supply around here the PNW, lots of seasoned ones on the shelf but no original and lime Perrier is usually gone as well.

We spent many years overseas and that was the rule of buying groceries. You never knew when, or even if, you'd see something again - especially imported items. It took me several years after returning to mostly break that habit. Then the pandemic came along so I'm back to my old ways.

Fritos

Costco had Fritos in the biggest size bag. I didn’t get any because I had already bought a “party size” bag at Target about a week and a half ago (and which is definitely NOT a party size unless it’s only a party of 2-3 people, LOL). DH says they taste better than regular corn chips.
Frozen potato products of pretty much every variety have been in short supply here in virtually every store for at least the last 4-6 months. Hash browns are especially hard to find. I finally found Tater Tots at business Costco several months ago in a huge 8 lb bag after not finding them anywhere in forever. And yes, I bought two bags of them.
It’s so weird the random assortment of stuff that I’m noticing is out of stock in various places.

At a smaller grocery store, they had a handwritten, neon pink poster board sign on the freezer case that said, "No frozen hash browns or other potatoes in stock." I guess they were tired of answering the question.
Funny thing was, if you looked in the case behind the sign, there were several brands and varieties. 🤷

I couldn’t find any back in December when I was making some chili, but I spotted a variety of Fritos when I was at the store the other day.
