Hello challengers! I'm the Wednesday host for the 28-4-28 challenge and one of my crafty goals this year is to stash bust so your challenges will be to BUST YOUR STASH! This means we will be using existing things from our scrappy stash (no need to go to the store and buy new stuff - unless you want to, no judgment ). My first challenge is: Use a pack you haven't opened yet. This could be a paper pack, a sticker pack, an embellishment pack, etc. The twist is to use 2 or more packs you haven't opened yet. Here is my layout. I'm still working through my 2005 European travel album but now I'm making the opening pages for each country we visited. I used 4 packs I've never opened before: the blue and the orange background papers were in a pack of paper I was gifted back in September, 2 different packs of ephemera and 1 pack of puffy stickers. grammadee has included an incentive for all Quarter ONE team players: If you are on a team, you can earn FIVE points for meeting this challenge, with a TWO POINT BONUS for also meeting the twist on this same project. It was not previously stated in the Quarter One challenges list, or in gramma's spreadsheet, but if you can complete ALL of the 28-4-28 challenges by the end of this quarter, you can earn a BONUS of 280 points!

Thanks Linda - I think my twists will be pretty simple because this month is already starting to get busy and it's only the first day so I will need something easy in my life.

Awesome challenge and amazing PAGE, jediannie! I will be out of the house most of tomorrow and then Thursday I need to FINALLY stow away all my Christmas crafting supplies. After that I need to get right to this. I am on a freeze right now, so nothing purchased since before Christmas, but I must have a few untouched embellishment packs. (I always think I will NEED them all, and then end up using so many photos that there isn't much room for the extras)

Amazing photo jediannie and I love the colors supporting it. I recently organized my "photo closet". I inherited three families worth of photos, plus my own, so while I was doing that I pulled out some for 28-4-28, including this one. It's from before digital! I used photo corners because I'm not sure I could find the negative or even figure out where to send it for printing. The bows and the black starbursts are from unopened CTMH packets, a gift from a friend.

jjpeapea , that page is darling. I love the way you used that ray pp as the left part of a half-n-half page design. And it goes so well with that inky paper--like the sun peeking from behind clouds. christinec68 , there will be love on Flickr. And don't forget to claim points for the February Donna Challenge

This was tricky because I didn't have much that was unopened in my stash and I'm frozen but I did find an EP zoo collection and a PaperHouse sticker sheet so I hunted down un-scrapped zoo photos from 2010

jjpeapea - I really love how the starburst/rainbow papers on the side point right to the photo, so pretty! Awesome job with the challenge. christinec68 - Your layout makes that photo pop off the page. I love the color you chose and great job using 4 unopened packs! Linda - I was wondering if some of the frozen peas might have a problem finding unopened packages. I love a theme kit and this one is perfect for your photos!

I love your layout, and a wonderful twist too! I can convert it to digital, because I have a lot of never-used kits and embellishments the I can use for this challenge.
Oh, and wait until you see the sketch for my sketch challenge on day 5 - it's so similar to your layout!! And I have even used blue and orange!

Thanks for the fun challenge! It was a wonderful prompt to use three things that I hadn't ever used before: 'Real Life' template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee 'Creative Mess' and 'Handmade Mess' kits by Humble & Create
ETA: I just realised I forgot to date the LO. The photos are from 2010 when I was still paper scrapping.

Linda, I love these photos! Her shirt and hat really pop, and your floral pp really pulls out both her and those beautiful birds in the photo and the PL card. AussieMeg, there is love in the Gallery.

jediannie, your page is beautiful. You have love in the gallery. Thank you for the challenge. jjpeapea, I love what you did with the watercolor on the background. Those rays are very pretty pointing toward that sweet photo. Great job on this challenge. christinec68, such a clean and classy layout. You have love in the gallery. Linda, what delightful photos of your DD with the birds. That background paper was perfect for the photos. Looks like it was made just for this layout. I love the title block. These are amazing pages. There is love in the gallery for your beautiful, artsy page AussieMeg. I opened a BoBunny Christmas pack from 2017. It had been tucked deep in my Christmas box. I also opened a 6x6 paper studio pack and a white glitter package from AC. All the gray letters and snowflakes are really white glitter and look much better in person. Pretty Good Job

christinec68 Everything looks so great together, the balance of the patterns. Lovely! Linda that's so funny that you had to go back for a zoo activity, but these pages capture that special time perfectly and look so good. AussieMeg pretty! So soothingly pastel. Your paper bag album sounds fun. nylene Good Job! It feels so good when younger ones notice our efforts, doesn't it. Such a sweet story and cute page. Love the smile on your grandson.

Made a card for this one. A valentine for my dh. Used a paper pack I pre-ordered in December(Great Outdoors by Doodlebug) and received just before I froze myself. Also opened one of the diecut packs that came with it, so there is the twist. AND an embossing folder I hadn't used before! Have you herd by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

AussieMeg - I figured this challenge would work well for you! Great layout, love the kits you chose! nylene - So cute! I love your journaling/stories too. scrappyrabbit - No worries about the censoring. I do that on my instagram since it's public and I'm not sure I want to share my daughter's photos or other kids in my life photos. I like how you were able to fit so many photos onto the smaller pages (I'm assuming those are 6x8 pages?). grammadee - the card is so cute! I love how you adapted the challenge to a card! I think all my challenges will work with cards.

thracian - thanks for the warning about the photo, that was very thoughtful of you to include. I like all the layers you used behind the photo and the flowers you added look like they were part of the photo.

We got this paper pad as a free gift at a crop. I bought the matching wood shapes and pearls, but hadn't opened them until now. Miss You

I used the Doodlebug Let it Snow collection for the first time on this layout! No twist as it's pretty much all that, and old Thickers!

justjac - I really like how you used the different shaped journaling spots. I never know how to use those! Ryann - Your layouts are so pretty! Is the background paper from the kit or did you paint white cardstock for that effect?

jediannie , I was inspired by your layout so I switched from my 2005 Canadian Rockies album to my 2019 Italy album. I used a new-to-me paper pack which is textured and a sticker from a never opened pack.
