The truckers protest in Ottawa is out of hand

Sounds like this would be right up his alley. But he's about 3 weeks too late now that there are 300 trucks there and things are breaking up. There was only 4000 trucks at the height of it. Maybe some homeless shelters in the area will get some new pillows.

Now I see one of my FB friends showing an arrest and stating that it's not valid because they didn't read them their Miranda rights 🤦🏻‍♀️. Ummm, this is Canada and you're Canadian. FFS.

These people are disgusting. Saying "there are only a few extremists in a bunch" doesn't work for me. If the rest don't see these images and stop them, then they are no better.

And yesterday on the news I heard they need to get Child Protective Services involved to figure out how to get the children scattered though out the crowd out safely.

The police are finally moving in and arresting and removing the protestors. About friggin time. The big wigs, Pat King Tamara Lich and Chris Barber have been arrested. Some disgusting protestors are putting their children in front of them. The police have warned them since Wednesday that arrests were imminent so these people should have their children taken away from them. So stupid complaining that wearing a mask will traumatize their kid but then put them through this. Links can be found through CBC.ca or CTV.ca

People in this situation probably do not realize that if you have a criminal record, you cannot (usually) be admitted into the USA and other countries.  

So far things are going peacefully.

Perhaps the American's are learning that things are different in Canada, ie: Miranda rights and other issues.

Hahaha! So you get arrested protesting the fact that you can't cross the border eventually the vaccine manadate gets lifted but your criminal record doesn't.

I was listening to a talk radio show in the car last week and a lawyer was on talking about how many of these rig owners are self employed and their business names are on their trucks. They can face serious fines and could lose everything. Even the ones who do contract work - they are the ones they will come after, not the corporation they contract for.

Awww…poor little victim. You reap what you sow. 

If they take our trucks away, that's inhumane, we need them to stay warm while they are protesting. What are we supposed to do pay hundreds of dollars a night for hotels? 




If they had went there on foot or in their personal vehicle, yes they might be arrested and there may be consequences to that. Not many places that they are working for are doing a criminal check for employment so they should be fine other than getting to leave the country. But having their company truck there, whether they are contract operators, self employed or whatever they will be screwed. Definitely if they are contracted under a bigger corporation they will take the fall. The big guys have the big lawyers they are never liable, they win 110% of the time.
