I used to follow her on instagram but I guess she must have disappeared a bit ago. Which was too bad because I used to enjoy reading her posts. But I just saw her daughter post today that Lisa's husband passed away yesterday from Covid. So sad!

Oh, I’m really sorry to hear that. Creating keepsakes brought me so much joy back in the day. Thinking of their family.

I loved her magazine, and really miss keeping up with her family. We named our daughter (middle name) Brecken, her daughter's name. I loved the name. I was even going to make a scrapbook page and send it to the magazine with how we got her name. But I didn't.

Oh I’m so sorry to hear this! I met her and her son Cade at CKC Lancaster years ago. I think her husband was a teacher. So sad.

How sad. Back in the day she did so much for scrapbooking. I am going to post about this on the scrapbook side and link to this thread.

I'm so sad to hear that. I loved pretty much everything Lisa did for scrapbooking. I'm so sorry for her and her family.

Oh my. That’s so sad. I remember watching her and David Venable (spelling???) on QVC.
If I remember correctly, I bought the CK Magazines and found out about the CK Messageboard in the magazine. It was a very oddly laid out board and threads were hard to follow. I also am pretty sure that’s how I found the original Two Peas online store and then the board. It was late summer/early fall 1999.
I still have some of her idea books. I liked her early style because it was relatively simple and I liked the color palettes she used.
I lost track of her long ago. Her kids must me all grown now.

Oh, that is really sad. Like a lot of people here, I subscribed to CK for years, and felt like I got to know a lot about her family.

I saw on one of Lisa/Steve's children's social media posts that Steve was admitted to the ICU with Covid on January 20 and was put on a ventilator January 22. So sad. I remember he gave up his first career in order to become a teacher. Most recently he taught high school business classes. I hope his family can find comfort in their memories of their husband/father.

I would love to see what the kids look like. I feel like I used to know them from Lisa's layouts.

That’s so awful! I met her once and she was a real sweetie. She autographed my photograph that I’d taken, inspired by her photography book.
