CK was what got me into scrapbooking too, I used to read it religiously back in the day
Ya I think 57 sound about right. All of their kids are married now except Sage the youngest. I think they have 3 or 4 grandchildren. He was far too young
Covid has taken far too many lives too early. It's heartbreaking

How very sad. Will be saying prayers for Lisa and their children.
One of Lisa's favorite layouts of mine was when she was pregnant with Sage and used a Hershey candy bar wrapper for a he/she layout over the gender.

I took a class from Lisa at CKU and she was so great. Really took the time to help everyone in the class and super friendly. I'm very sad to hear this.

Oh that is sad.. I did follow her for quite awhile. I even knew a mutual friend of hers.. although I don't remember who that was.. HA.. Pretty much she and CK fueled my fire for scrapbooking.
I bought ALL her QVC books and still use them for inspiration. I love love those books.

I saw on one of Lisa/Steve's children's social media posts that Steve was admitted to the ICU with Covid on January 20 and was put on a ventilator January 22. So sad. I remember he gave up his first career in order to become a teacher. Most recently he taught high school business classes. I hope his family can find comfort in their memories of their husband/father. How do you find them on social media? I am new to instagram but have instagram. I would love to see what the kids look like. I feel like I used to know them from Lisa's layouts. I just searched Instagram for one of the boys' names. Then from his account I could see where his sisters were either tagged in a photo or commented on a post and from there I could go to their accounts. At least 3 of the Bearnson kids have public accounts so it was easy to see what they posted. Not like I'm a creepy stalker or anything, but I learned some pretty good social media sleuthing skills when my DDs were in high school - I wanted to keep an eye on who they were hanging out with, etc. |

I got a box of thrift shop stuff recently and there was a book with her face on the cover. It is sitting on my table to donate at a scrapbook retreat so I've been looking at her face for a few weeks. Sorry to hear about her husband though.
It's funny but many years ago at CKC I attended a very messy class she taught and was such a fan girl I had her sign my tee shirt while I was wearing it! OMG!

That's heartbreaking. I met Lisa in 2006 at CKU in 2006. Super nice and she gave me vibes that were genuine.

That's very sad. Lisa was probably the main inspiration for me when I started scrapping. I still have all her books. She could have sold me anything and I still miss those great scrapping days on QVC. So sad for her and her family.

Lisa's husband passed away yesterday I think they were divorced. And yes, that's way too young to die! I didn't realize that they were divorced. I looked up his obituary and it was insanely confusing to read with all the (mother) (husband) (wife) stuff in parentheses, but it didn't mention him being a husband or leaving a wife behind. And since my mom taught me "if you can't say anything nice...". I will say COVID is a terrible disease and I hope he had taken all the steps he could have to mitigate it so that he didn't have to leave his family behind when he was only 57. |
