Putin has committed crimes against humanity already...MORE THAN ONCE...and they are just now talking about bringing up charges? I watched the interview that Zelensky did yesterday. He made the comment about how he warned everyone and asked for weapons before they invaded, and the weapons never came. Leaders kept telling him to wait. Makes me mad! I know. 😞 They rightly fear he’ll use thermobaric rockets - BECAUSE HE ALREADY HAS in Syria and Chechnya, for sure. He has nothing to lose on using them in Ukraine, he was never punished before.

He has a point. If Putin gets away with invading Ukraine what will stop him from “acquiring” other countries like Finland or countries that were once part of the USSR? Why Finland? Apparently Putin thinks it should be part of his version of the USSR. It’s not just Ukraine. He’s been acting with impunity in Syria, Chechnya and other places for years, and no one stopped him then. Getting away with? He’s already gotten away with a ton. 🤷🏼♀️ To be blunt, they are small fish. Now he’s going big time and we have reach that “red line in the sand” moment with Ukraine. Its not just Russia the West has to watch/worry about but China as well. Because you know Russia and China have now become BFFs. And you can bet your bottom dollar China is watching closely to see if they can try the same thing and just have the West posturing and not really doing anything. And no I don’t know how the West resolves this issue. But it’s almost a sure thing if the United States does more then just sending arms to Ukraine, like taking out that convey, then it will be basically become a war between the United States and Russia fought mostly in Europe with it spreading and China becoming the victor by sitting on the sidelines. And in the end the world loses no matter who wins.

You know China is watching this closely because if Putin gets away with invading Ukraine I’m pretty sure China has a shopping list of countries it would like to acquire starting with Taiwan. Exactly. So is Iran. Why? Because sanctions are being dealt with there as well. Sanctions brought their oil output from about 2.5mmbd to about 1mmbd (in spite of Trump wanting it to go to zero). Then the former ignorant POTUS and his admin pulled us out of the Iran Nuclear deal Biden's got us back negotiating. Iran knows the world needs their oil now more than ever. It gives them leverage. That's the thing about geopolitics. It's not as simple as an ignorant person, for example those whose geopolitical world view is based on end-times theology, might think it is. www.cnn.com/2022/03/03/politics/iran-nuclear-deal-us/index.htmlGeopolitics is incredibly complicated. I’ve really only started paying attention to current geopolitics the last 5 years, historical geopolitics was more my thing - but it’s always been super complicated - globally.

What former does to 'old friends'... I don't t know you, never met you.. Commentary... Trump turns on Putin, calls invasion 'holocaust' Mar 03, 2022 4:31am Eastern Standard Time by KM Wehrstein, Community As reported by umpteen news outlets (e.g. Newsweek, The Hill via Yahoo, the Independent), the former guy did what he does every time: as soon as a friend is down, knifes him in the back. In this case, it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy and his cronies: Vladimir Putin & Fellow Murderous Kleptocrats Inc. In an interview on Fox “News” the never-should-have-been president praised Ukraine’s soldiers, demanded a stop to the killing and expressed a reaction to video images of the invasion that seems incongruously human and normal (as malignant narcissists can fake, fleetingly). youtu.be/I6KSMmHRxzoTranscript of key sections: Russia has gotten in deeper than they ever thought possible […] to a certain extent because of the weapons that I gave, and that the Ukrainians used so well, I mean they used so well, amazing. […] So I think Russia is, something could be done with them right now, because they’re not looking so good […] They have to stop killing these people, they’re killing all these people and they have to stop it. And they have to stop it now. But they don’t respect the United States … this is a holocaust, this is a horrible thing that is happening, you’re witnessing and you’re seeing it on television every night. Who can believe that this, they’re taking army tanks and they’re taking missiles and shooting them into buildings… Interesting choice of words — holocaust — considering Putin’s claim to be “de-nazifying” Ukraine, and the fact that its president is Jewish and has Holocaust victims in his family. Was that intentional? Hard to say with the word salads that so easily spew from that mouth. It’s a very big shift, as the papers are saying, from calling Putin “smart” last week.Since the man is still the cult leader of the GOP, look for a thundering, baaing herd of Republicans to echo that big shift, in the same sincerely indignant almost-human tone. Oh Vlad, if you’ve lost them… www.dailykos.com/story/2022/3/3/2083576/-Trump-turns-on-Putin-calls-invasion-holocaust

My cousin's wife work(ed) for RT News out of Washington. She lost her job yesterday as it appears they have closed up shop. She is a big time Trump humper and has been posting so much fake news on her twitter, in particular the whole line about how Nazis in Ukraine. I had a conversation the day before with a family member telling them I thought she might lose her job. I wonder how she feels now that trump has called it a holocaust. ironically, Facebook is now banned in Russia because it is the source of “too much disinformation.”

So the Russian bombed a nuclear power plant and risked wiping Europe off the face of the earth. Great.
Chernobyl was just one reactor, this site has 6.

Meet the bloated oligarchs
"Yesterday, the White House announced it would expand the list of Russian oligarchs subject to full blocking sanctions – the highest level of restrictions – as it ramps up punishment against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. Some of the newly named oligarchs overlapped with a list of Russian elites on whom the European Union imposed sanctions earlier this week, although there were some notable differences.
The federal government won’t just stop at freezing these targets’ assets, but will seize them, Joe Biden announced in his State of the Union address on Tuesday.
In charge of appropriating these assets will be KleptoCapture, a newly announced justice department taskforce, with support from the treasury department, FBI, IRS and other federal agencies. Under US law, the justice department may use civil forfeiture to confiscate the proceeds from foreign crimes, including corruption, when they are found in the United States."
GLORY
Hit 'em in the balance sheets. It's the thing they care most about.

From the WaPo
“MOSCOW — Russian President Vladimir Putin called Friday for the “normalization” of relations with other states, saying Moscow has “absolutely no ill intentions with regard to our neighbors.”
Speaking via video link at a ceremony raising the Russian flag on a Kaliningrad ferry, Putin called for global coordination, even as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine entered its second week.
“I think that everyone should think about normalizing relations and cooperating normally,” he said.
[The latest on the war in Ukraine]
He said Russia saw no need to aggravate tensions with other countries, claiming that Moscow’s actions in Ukraine came only “in response to unfriendly actions toward Russia.”
Bizarre.😳🥴

And it’s not like anyone should trust his word about intentions, right? This is the guy who denied he was going to invade Ukraine, until he did it.

Then I read this. “The purpose of RT is for Russia to fight against the West and democratic values on the cheap,” said Robert Orttung, a professor of international relations at George Washington University who has researched the company. “It is easier to pay for this kind of divisive media coverage than to build a military equal to that of the United States and its allies.” So… glad they’re gone , don’t let the door hit you. Not shocked it was staffed with the Trumpiest of Trumpers. Dennis Miller had a show on there.

Serious business. Sky BBC news team under fire! WATCH: British TV news attacked by ‘saboteur Russian reconnaissance squad’Bob Brigham March 04, 2022 Russian troops on Friday attacked a British television crew reporting on the invasion of Ukraine. Stuart Ramsay of Sky News reports that he and photographer Richie Mockler were wounded in the attack in the town of Bucha, where they were reporting on a Russian military convoy that had been destroyed the previous day. "The first round cracked the windscreen. Camera operator Richie Mockler huddled into the front passenger footwell. Then we were under full attack," he reported. "Bullets cascaded through the whole of the car, tracers, bullet flashes, windscreen glass, plastic seats, the steering wheel, and dashboard had disintegrated." *** "I do recall wondering if my death was going to be painful," Ramsay said. "And then I was hit in the lower back. 'I've been hit!' I shouted. But what amazed me was that it didn't hurt that bad. It was more like being punched, really. It was strange, but I felt very calm." All five members of the news crew survived the attack.www.rawstory.com/russia-invasion-of-ukraine-2656846027/

Bolton about withdrawal from NATO. Bolton, who served as ambassador to the United Nations during the Bush Administration, succeeded H.R. McMaster as Trump's third National Security Advisor. “In a second Trump term, I think he may well have withdrawn from NATO,” Bolton said. “And I think [Russian President Vladimir] Putin was waiting for that.” This was not the first time Bolton undermined claims about Ukraine from Trump supporters. www.rawstory.com/john-bolton-trump-nato/
