Just as an aside as we have just been discussing the journalists - Frank Gardener is standing with his frame, reporting for the BBC in the studio. Frank was shot at by al Qaida when reporting in 2004 and his legs are partially paralysed, his cameraman was killed. He still reports from the field and has a wealth of knowledge on terrorism and military matters. A brave (and interesting) man as are all our broadcasters local to the action, there just to keep us updated with the horrors.

My cousin's wife work(ed) for RT News out of Washington. She lost her job yesterday as it appears they have closed up shop. She is a big time Trump humper and has been posting so much fake news on her twitter, in particular the whole line about how Nazis in Ukraine. I had a conversation the day before with a family member telling them I thought she might lose her job. I read that yesterday. I’m never happy for anyone to lose their jobs. She carried on a two year affair with someone at a major network and then turned around and sued the network saying that it was sexual harrassment. She will do anything to be on TV. Her Facebook and IG are full of pictures of her...not her kids or family. Yet she wrote a book about being a "Christian Conservative" and how her family is her center. Complete bullshit. When everyone gets together, she literally sucks the air out of the room to discuss herself. If people don't engage, she leaves. The shit she posts on her twitter is just awful. My heart hurts for my cousin, because I think she just uses him. |

He said that only a third of Russia's military is in Ukraine and that they do in fact have reserves. He also said that Russia has withheld a large part of their airforce. Modern Tanks crossing the borderHe also told me that there have been a lot of conflicting reports about equipment because it is hard to tell the difference between some of the Ukrainian equipment and Russian equipment. |

My husband’s first master’s degree is in history, with a specialization in military history during World War II and after. He is a former Marine with lots of contacts still in the military and intelligence communities. He agrees with the initial tweet. Russia’s army is in bad shape. The only thing they’re holding back at this point is nuclear weapons. Information to the contrary is probably propaganda intended to damage morale in Ukraine. |

There was a cease fire in Mariupol... Russia violated it in 2hours ... Deputy mayor says it was planned assassination of citizens while they tried to go .. citizens were advised to return home.

I would absolutely agree that it is hard to know what exactly is the truth. Makes me wonder why US Intelligence keeps saying the worst is yet to come? I just wish that there could be a cease fire or something so there is no more lives lost. Makes me sick to my stomach to see the horror going on. It's just awful. The worst is yet to come, because in trying to sell this to the Russian people as a “liberation” they have not been able to use their most destructive weapons that would result in massive amounts of civilian casualties. The first day they tried to be surgical and focus on military targets, and each day less so. More indiscriminate bombing. Now they’ve started openly firing on civilians. They are reaching the point where the weapons they have left, are of the worst kind, and the US is expecting they will use them. |
