It’s a good fucking thing Biden is in office. For all the conservative peas who are lurking in this thread, if you vote for this man in 2024 you are responsible for the decimation of the globe! WAKE THE FUCK UP! Yup. And Tom Nichols is anything but liberal. But he recognizes that Trump is unfit to be President. He is a good follow on Twitter; his background is Russia/ the USSR.

WAKE THE FUCK UP! I think they were idiots for voting for him the first time. They are the ones who gave him the voice that he has now. But yeah, if anyone votes for him again I don’t even have words to describe how I feel about that.

On my phone, so I didn’t want to use quote, but this is the partner tweet to go with the FSB letter. This person is apparently well known in the Open Source Intelligence community which is why the letter has gotten traction. The other tweet is someone who saw the need for an English translation.

Russia has a problem with their airlines who do NOT own all their planes.. they are leased.. Russia is warning them not to leave Russian air space fearing seizer of those planes.. A further threat, however, comes from Europe’s aircraft leasing industry which in recent years has proved to be a critical supplier of planes to Russia. Non-Russian lessors have 515 planes in the country, with a combined market value of close to $10bn, Cirium estimated. One industry executive reckoned that European lessors accounted for up to $5bn worth of the planes — ones they will want to recover as EU sanctions require them to terminate contracts with Russian carriers by the end of this month. Executives have been racing to understand the logistical challenge of retrieving their planes. The “practicalities of re-delivery and repossession are not clear,” said IBA’s Walter, adding: “You would normally want to engage at least 15 months to two years’ in advance.” amp.ft.com/content/9a24a4b3-a3fa-4a37-b783-cbe393461473

I loved it then. It's still haunting now. I hope the Russians have more access to information to protect their children and themselves from maniacal dictators w/aging visions of past "glories".

What do you all think needs to happen to end this? I worry so much that if Putin isn’t stopped he will take Ukraine and then feels emboldened to attack other countries as well. What will that mean for Europe if he does? And what are the chances that Ukraine does come out on top? How long do we wait for sanctions to work? If Ukraine is taken and Putin invades another country what do we do then?

MTG at her best! She continued: "And Putin is a madman but here's the worst part. Joe Biden is responsible for allowing it to happen!" Greene said that she would be voting against an upcoming bill that would help Ukraine defend itself. *** "And the people that are suffering the most are the ones that are dying," Greene added. "America needs to do better." youtu.be/P-swJlMtqPowww.rawstory.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-ukraine/

I do find it a little reassuring that Putin clearly doesn’t want to die. Unless, as rumors have been swirling, he already has some sort of health issue and realizes that he doesn't have much time left anyway.

Fuck them. Fuck them right to hell. They should be banned from further meetings and from receiving Intel. Great googly moogly. What the F*CK is wrong with those f*ing morons??? And where the f*ck are our resident conservatives who bitch about every freaking thing a Democrat does? They've been noticeably absent on this thread anyway, but can you imagine if one of the Democrat senators had done this?? There heads would be exploding. Republicans will NEVER hold another republican actually accountable. Ever.

I’m not as knowledgeable as many here, but Unfortunately, I think that unless Ukraine gets more planes, Ukraine will fall to Russia but there will continue to be lots of fighting. I do hope that the sanctions will make it less likely that Putin will try to expand.

Russia has said the same thing about the sanctions so at this point give Ukraine the jets and ban oil and natural gas sales from Russia. Collapse their economy.
And if the West does collapse the Russian economy at least this won’t happen to its citizens.
