I would love if there were more options for papers and embellishments for boys that were more mature looking. It seems there are way more product lines that are girly, and that just doesn’t work as well for me now that my boys are older. The lines that are more geared to boys are more suited to little kids. I don’t need there to be a strong theme. I would also like more sports lines. I was just at the local craft store and there don’t seem to be any new sports products for quite awhile now. I also would like less cutesy embellishments and stickers with the lines.
What are your thoughts? Is there any thing that you would like companies to focus on or create?

teen appropriate (non-gendered) - gaming, sports, biking, hanging with friends, texting, movies/music, skateboarding, SCHOOL
young adults (also non-gendered please) - college (but studying, finals, online classes not frats and sports and dorms), moving, new flat, new home, starter home, roommates, cooking/baking/grilling (w/o the grandma or dad vibe)
outdoors stuff that isn't camping oriented - stuff that would work for hiking, nature walks, parks (not playgrounds), biking, walking, photography...all the grownup stuff outdoors
I would also love some lines that aren't themed at all - just collections tied together by a common colour palette with a bunch of basic embellishments...words, tags, flowers, stars, arrows, etc... and I would like colours that aren't all pink w/ purple or teal

I miss really good alphabet font stickers, like Sass a Frass Lass used to make. I had a ton of them but have used up every single one.

I don't necessarily need something to be boy themed, but non-gendered is a better way to put it. There is so much with pink and flowers that just don't work with the photos I have. I was just looking through my older papers and I actually like a lot of that better than the new stuff because it isn't so heavily themed. I did a baby photos of DS last night and the stickers were animals and really cutesy. I used a few of them but don't really care for a lot of that.

And yes, the lack of sport lines right now is disappointing. Baseball season is going to be starting here and there's nothing! And more diverse sports. I have one that does Cross Country and Track which has so little if anything. I don't need a lot, but just a mini kit would be nice. An older boy line that is current.

As a cardmaker my needs are a little different but I agree with mature "masculine"/older boy and specifically Father's Day and Dad stuff that recognizes that dads these days are not often wearing ties to an office, that many guys who are dads now grew up with video games and skateboards and hip hop... and also that those themes would work well for non-gendered supplies for young people too. (And yes, I know, it's the store buyers' fault, they want gendered products because that's what sells, blah blah blah). I'm sick of a world where "masculinity" is still so narrow. In the real world that is breaking down somewhat, I am told. I hope so. And I hope the retail craft world catches up soon.

I would love more general patterns and colours. I love using black and stars and skulls on pages about me, but typically the only places I can find them are in halloween or boy collections.
I'm always interested in travel themes that are not vintage looking and do not rely on cliched icons or locations (no more Eiffel towers, please!). I'd love lines that can be used in lots of destinations, and that focus more on the things we do when we get there (museums, historic buildings, outdoor activities, new experiences type phrases which could be applied to food or locations or activities) rather than the process of getting there (seriously, I do not need any more aeroplane icons or phrases).

YES YES YES we do more day trips and road trips than trips by plane (my 15 y/o has never flown) and I would love that

Some of my answers, are in general...meaning pre-covid.
Dinner or lunch with friends.
Working out, walking, going to gym.
Reading, Library, ebooks.
Bigger beach and ocean stickers and embellishments (no small sticker sneeze).
Road trip and travel, that isn't an old station wagon and vw bus. How about a 4 door sedan, a 2 door coupe or an Suv or truck.
Household chores.
Larger words (no small sticker sneeze), that are applicable to everyday life. >> Shopping, lunch out, chores, groceries, gas station, medical appt, car pool, car wash, etc...
Hanging out at home.
Backyard or front yard activities. Fire pit, hanging with the neighbors, yard work, planting, gardening, sitting on the porch, looking at the stars or sunset, etc..
Entertainment type things (new and refreshed, not the same old products). Concerts, Downtown art fest, In the park festival, outdoor summer theater, movies, etc...
More >> My-Me-I, in addition to the We-Our-Us.

I need more papers with wild turkeys on them. Yeah, I got very specific! I don't need a whole line of wild turkey papers... just some slightly realistic paper with 3-d embellishments, washi tape, and dies to match. Or maybe I need to stop taking so many pictures of wild turkeys. Oh, and IF anyone ever finds wild turkey paper, may it NOT have pink on it.

I don’t even care if the papers have a theme to them. It’s more about the colors and patterns working for the activities that my pictures are of. I miss the old Chatterbox, My Mind’s Eye and Basic Grey where there wasn’t necessarily a theme but coordinating colors and patterns. I do like that now we have embellishments that are made to go with the line but don’t care for a lot of the stickers That come with them.

I agree with the more sports themes, specifically volleyball and cycling. So many bicycles with flower baskets on the front. Ugh. I need road cycling and mountain bike racing. Not cutesy
There are a few volleyball options but I’d like to see a line that is mostly black and white. Odds are a coloured line of paper is not going to match the team colours.

I feel like pinkfresh started strong but are slowly falling victim to the pink /teal/gold/flowers vibe of AC I’m thinking of the “boys fort” line which had no pink and was fairly generic and also first adventure line[? Extraordinary outdoors?] .I bought doubles of all of both and have none left I used to buy their entire collections but haven’t bought any of theirs in a couple of years now

I'd love so many of these too. I'll add museum trips to this list (non-cutesy please) & a line about work that isn't "girl-boss" centric.

I started scrapping in 2001 and feel like they had some of the best papers. I have a lot of theme paper for beach, outdoors, and holidays. My coordinating papers stay with those themes/lines. But I do feel like the turkeys deserve their own line. Might not sell more than 2 sets, but they are so darn cute they deserve their own line. They remind me of Gladys Cravitz in Bewtiched. Always looking around, gawking, having an opinion and then leaving in a huff.

Gender free tween themes. The games and activities they actually enjoy. Characters they like to watch on TV or movies. Something other than super heroes and princesses.
Images of people wearing clothes produced after the 1940’s.
Water/swimming themes that aren’t tropical. Outdoor activity/ hiking lines that aren’t mountains.
Sports phrases that are more than winning and scoring and MVP, more work hard/ play hard, have fun, work together. General sports line with nets and balls and gym floors, grass, ice, that you could scrap a variety of stories with.

I need more papers with wild turkeys on them. I love wild turkeys! The park nearest to my house has over 50 turkeys living there. I love visiting them and I'm always disappointed if I don't see them. They are NOT scared of humans. My nephew and I were walking years ago and a group of 11 of them were walking down the trail and just walked around us. I was more scared than the turkeys. I agree with what everyone is saying. - more unisex stuff for teens and young adults that reflect their lives. I find a lot of the teen girl stuff fits my boys' interests but there is pink and flowers all over them. Why is it necessary to have a pink, flowered guitar? - little boy stuff (if you must) that isn't all about cars and sports. Out of 3 boys I scrap, only one is a sports guy, and none of them liked cars that much. - more lines that are just about color palettes and not so heavily themed- old Basic Grey was great about that. - Disney stuff that isn't just red, black, and yellow I would also love if they got rid of outdated motifs- diaper pins, ties, apples, etc., that are clichés. I like retro but it seems like so many lines (like travel and home) rely on really retro images exclusively. And I keep mentioning it over and over, but better pet lines. I'm tired of pink for cats. I'm tired of really cutesy stuff. My cats are kind of dignified- not pink and cutesy. I have to go to Halloween images to find things for my black cat that aren't pink and cutesy. I'd like a more adult look, if that makes sense? I also hate the fish skeleton to represent cats- definitely outdated and not relevant.

As always, I wish for versatile, non-themed, white-based, clean, & modern collections in neutral color palettes to which other colors, distressing, etc. can be added to document anything/everything, including subjects without themed products (e.g. travel to major cities, museums/monuments tours, attending pro/college sporting events as a spectator, college/young adult activities/first apartment, etc.) This question is often asked (see this recent thread). Sadly, manufacturers rarely act on the free customer feedback/market research in these threads & continue to produce the same themes/color palettes/etc.

I would like to see more generic patterns, in a "Scenic Route" or "Gen X" style: geometric shapes, lines, etc. Although I do like polka dots and stripes, I'd like something else too.

I'm still waiting for:
an orchestra line that works with my daughter's orchestra concert photos. I'm not even sure what I want... maybe a neutralish paper pack with subtle music images (not black notes on white background) with larger instrument embellishments (not sticker sneeze size) without woodland creatures playing them? Also, orchestra is not band so I don't want a bunch of saxophones or marching band stuff mixed in there that I can't use. I know I'm asking a lot...
A line that says MY birthday on it. So, I can make birthday pages about me, me me.
Sports besides soccer and basketball: croquet, badminton, bowling (not retro!), cross country, air hockey etc.
A pet line that is not dogs or cats.
Less themey, more general use, subtler color palette paper lines that could be used for multiple things.

New sports lines...preferably before I'm done scrapping my 16yo's sports.
Band (concert & marching) papers
Pool/Waterpark--something for summer that does NOT involve an ocean beach (for those of is landlocked in the middle of the US).
Outdoorsy without specifics--can use for backyard, travel, sports, etc.
Travel that is more than "getting there" but while there and then on the way home.
Travel/hiking/lake that isn't all about camping.
But in general, I would just like usable lines that if they have a theme, that the theme does not overwhelm everything. A nod is just fine. I want usable papers & embellishments. I don't want to feel like I'm covering up the main part of why I'm using the paper simply because I put more than a single 3x4 picture on the 12x12 page. I don't want the same phrase repeated 20 times across the entire line. I want usable Journaling spots that don't have a prompt (unless it's very generic without resorting to "here's the story")

I am in my mid-50's, a single person, my son is grown...and it seems the only lines that are made for people my age are "self-care"...come on, I'm more than just self care. I have a full and vibrant life and am happy. I do more than take bubble baths and drink wine. What PaperAngel is suggesting would work so well for the things I scrapbook in my life.
