I will because I work with kids who can’t be vaxxed and my mom is still undergoing her cancer treatments. It doesn’t bother me even a little to wear one and if it keeps even one of my students or my mother safe that is a good thing.

Yes, we are still wearing our masks. We are all vaccinated and boosted, but none of us can take a chance on getting covid (even if we had mild symptoms) or getting anything else going around. My husband's job is very stressful and he can't afford to be sick and take a day off. I am taking care of our large disabled and incontinent German Shepherd (I have to carry her on a harness as she can't use her back legs). It's physically and mentally demanding so don't want to take a chance on something. Too many pro-Trump anti vaxxers anti-maskers in our area, so I don't feel comfortable being maskless.

My county is 81% fully vaccinated. I don’t really go anywhere that is too crowded, and I have just started not wearing my mask indoors. That's great! Is that all eligible, ages 5 and up?
Our area does not have many kids vaccinated, so our numbers aren't that great. They are good for 65 and older but not so much in the younger age groups. My cousin's 6 yr. old daughter was so excited to get vaccinated! Her mom said she woke up at 5:00am that morning ready to get vaccinated.

no for 5 and up it is 86% fully vaccinated. So 86% of people 5 and up are vaccinated? People in your area are vaccinating their kids? I want to make sure I understand correctly. That's wonderful! That makes me so happy to hear!

I’m a teacher in Southern California (Orange County). We were notified the mask mandated for our schools will be lifted March 12. We also got an email of 3 Covid cases on campus last week. I am happy families will have a choice. I am looking forward to not saying ‘mask over your nose’. But, I will still wear mine. I am also happy teachers have a choice!

Our county has lifted the mask mandate and I see a few people here and there wearing them. Our Covid cases have come down from a 7-day average of 180 cases to about 15. I tend to shop or run errands in the early morning so the stores are rarely very crowded. Ditto for the gym when I go in the afternoon.

We don’t have a mask mandate here, except healthcare facilities.
I don’t wear a mask, and neither do my kids. We only wear them where it is required. I’m still waiting to hear back from my sons county preschool if they have dropped it yet. I said this in another thread, but I want my boys to finally get appropriate speech services, I want my son with Epilepsy without a mask as this way if he were to have a seizure you could see his mouth movements/color. I want them to see faces and be social. I want them to be exposed to colds and viruses, that’s how you build up your immune system.
I have absolutely no problem if anyone wants to wear a mask, I won’t shame them or call them names. I’m doing what I feel is best for my family and you can with yours.

If it is required I will wear one, if not, I am not and have not since the mandate was lifted. I am boosted and had a very mild case of COVID a couple weeks ago. DH and DS had it mid January I had it mid February. We all had what felt like a mild cold at most. Yes, we are very lucky we all had such mild cases.

Yes but I’m 9 weeks pregnant. Congratulations! Another little pea baby. Mask wearing in my state has been controversial from the start. There was never tremendous compliance with it even during Covid peaks. I see sporadic mask use now but it’s waning every day. My doctor’s office requires one but my dentist does not. Mask wearing is still required for volunteers and staff at the hospice thrift store, but not for customers. It’s all very hit or miss here.

our premier is talking about lifting mandate soon? i will continue to mask. our country (and my city as well it seems) are 81.4% fully vaccinated. but toronto was hit with the hardest and longest restrictions in the country - our restaurants just reopened recently after being closed for indoor dining (again) and my son is back on the ice playing hockey after another month long pause.
it has been two years i guess of solid mask wearing. i was at a *packed* costco on the weekend and did not see a single person without a mask. so it is what i am used to and would seem weird to be in a place with people breathing all over each other again. lol! but also, i just feel for people who work with the public (i work from home) and respect the risks they take enough to wear a mask.

Are you still wearing a mask? Depends...I have not worn one since NYS lifted it a couple weeks ago. However, if I go into a store and it's packed, I will grab one out of my purse. I carry hand sanitizer with me at all times also.

I want to live in your county! I get so depressed watching the news on vaccinations, and seeing so many people are anti vax and won't vaccinate their children. I worry a new variant will start with a large group of unvaccinated people. So reading your post is the best news I have heard in a while. Thanks for sharing the rates in your county.

Yes and no, I'm not unless it is required. I'm in a state with very high vaccination rates and extremely low cases. My county is very overly cautious about mask mandates. I don't feel unsafe at all. Our county is over 85% vaccinated.

Our area lifted them a few weeks ago. I am not wearing one unless asked to and then I comply.
I do wear one though daily for work. We are still required to wear them. I am thinking that will be lifted soon though.

It’s mixed mask use here. Most of the town mandates have been lifted. I wear one indoors if someplace is crowded. The court system still requires them (I had jury duty last week.) So do health facilities. My county is down to about a 1% transmission rate, so it looks like omicron has fizzled out here. My state is highly vaccinated.

Our province still has a mask mandate for all indoor public places.I don’t think we have an expiration date on the order. So I see 100% of people in masks indoors.
My girls had a dance performance last weekend and they were allowed to remove their masks while on stage. This was the first time I saw them dance in person in 2 years and it was amazing. Also for the last two years their performances have been recorded but they’ve been in masks, so this without masks was a real treat. I cried.
I am boosted, haven’t had covid and have no end in site to our vaccinate mandate or our mask mandate. To be honest I’m not sure the vaccine mandate does anything to protect me anymore. It forced many to get vaccines but those who haven’t won’t so maybe it’s not worth the hassle anymore. Our vaccine rate for ages 5 and up is over 89% And I am ready for masks optional.
We are travelling over spring break to an area with no covid restrictions. Will be interesting. We still need a vaccine to get on a plane in Canada so we have that requirement, and we require a test to get back into Canada. But while away - nothing. We are heading to England and France.

I’m getting my hair done today, the first time since early December when Omicron was surging. I believe our indoor mask mandates are lifted today? I’m fully expecting people to not be wearing masks but I will.
I’m not interested in someone being up in my face so close without a mask, especially with the constant close contact hair stylists have.

The city I live in has never had a mask mandate, but stores have. And I have still been wearing one. I did take a break from them over the summer when I was fully vaccinated and numbers were dropping, but started again in the fall when it was becoming clear that being vaccinated wasn't necessarily preventing you from getting Covid. Also, by that point, I hadn't even had so much as a cold since winter of 2020, and that was kind of nice. I did end up with Covid a month ago, but I ended up getting it in my own house because my husband had it, and was not respectful or careful at all. At first he wouldn't even get tested and kept telling us all he just had a cold. Well, he had Covid and a few days later, so did I. I am still wearing a mask if I go to the grocery store or Walmart. I know it's unlikely I will get Covid right now, but the flu and other things are still out there, and I am still feeling run down from my bout with Covid. I am doing all I can to not get sick with anything right now.

I still wear a mask when indoors. If there is nobody around I might stick my nose out of it. Most people around here still wear one and the signs requesting masks have not gone away. Most if not all employees are still wearing them. I am retired so wearing a mask for the short times I am in a shop doesn’t bother me. I have been eating in indoor restaurants since they opened up quite a long time ago and do meet with friends when the occasion arises.
