Are you still wearing a mask?
California lifted theirs on Feb 15th. Our county never had their own. I still see people wearing masks in the store and lot of store employees are still wearing them. Many stores still have signs up to please wear a mask. I wear one depending on the situation. If it is a small, crowded space, I’ll wear one. A bigger warehouse-type store that has lots of room and is not crowded, I don’t wear one. And if a business prefers I wear one, I will.

I'm not sure it's the best idea for mask mandates to be lifted for an entire state. Some counties and cities are safer than others. I happen to live in a county with a lower vaccination rate than surrounding counties so I'm going to continue to wear a mask. It has never bothered me to wear one so it's not a big deal. Maybe by summer I'll feel like I won't have to. Hopefully.

I am a teacher in Canada ... my province is lifting the mask rule tomorrow ... the majority of my students still wear masks in class and so will I ... I haven't had a cold, the flu or Covid in years I think I will also continue to wear one in the grocery store for awhile ...

My state (WA) just changed from March 21st to March 12th, including schools. I don't think my county is doing particularly great (although the numbers are going down) so I kind of don't get the hurry, but no one in charge asked me...
I will still wear my mask because I haven't had COVID yet (and neither has DH or our 4 kids), although now my kids will have even more chance of bringing it home from school so it's probably inevitable. Yay...

I’m a teacher in CA. My superintendent is really excited to lift the masking requirement in classrooms/schools on 3/14. Not sure how I feel about this.
I’ve already had Covid (vaxxed, Covid, boosted). My kids are not vaxxed (10 and 5) but both have had Covid.

New York lifted its indoor mask mandate several weeks ago, but my employer has not lifted the mandate yet, so I still must wear a mask to work. When I am out and about I sometimes wear one and sometimes don't. It depends on where I am and how many other people are around.

Today marks the second anniversary of the first covid death in the US, and it was in my county. What an awful and frightening time in the Puget Sound region. And so sad to watch on TV as they brought sick person after sick person out of the retirement home where the outbreak occurred. I remember clearly posting here about it, and everything else for the first 10 days or so until it became it was clear that other areas of the US had outbreaks as well. I remember posting my shock that the first responders were not wearing any PPE. And peas telling me that it really wasn't a big deal that they weren't. As it turns out, a bunch of them also came down with it as well :/
Anyhow....
WA state just dropped the mask mandate, beginning in 2 weeks. It's going to take me a while to get used to it. I'll likely continue masking for a while, until I've seen how it's going. I am skeptical, but oh-so-hopeful that this really IS the end of the pandemic part of this disease.

No, I’m not really wearing my mask anymore…just on public transportation and there’s one lunch place by my office that requires them.

I’m in California and yes I’m still wearing my mask and will continue for the foreseeable future. It’s just not that hard.
I have parents who are high risk and the thought of me getting them sick because I didn’t wear a mask haunts me. I’m doing it for them.

We've never had a mask mandate but I'm still wearing mine and DD15 is still masking at school. Our county vaccination rate is STILL below 50% for one shot and our positivity rate is still in the mid-20s so that drop in cases....I'm not sure how accurate it is.
I'm vaxed and boostered, DH and DD15 are vaxxed - we had to reschedule her booster appt because she was sick.

Our mask mandate was removed a while ago, because stupid people are in charge. I didn’t stop wearing a mask in public until late last week, when the cdc changed the recommendations. I will still carry a mask with me and wear one if a store requests it. (At work, I still pull one on when face-to-face with a customer is wearing one, out of respect.)

My county is 81% fully vaccinated. I don’t really go anywhere that is too crowded, and I have just started not wearing my mask indoors.

We haven’t had a mask mandate for awhile. I was wearing a mask most of the time from thanksgiving to when I got Covid in early February. I haven’t been wearing one since then, though. I figure I’m not going to be giving or getting Covid for awhile. Prior to thanksgiving sometimes I wore one, sometimes not.

We're still wearing masks.
Our area seems to be 50/50 if someone is wearing one or not.

We've never really had mask mandate in my county and I haven't worn one full-time in awhile. I have been wearing it in large groups of people and at Dr's offices.

Today marks the second anniversary of the first covid death in the US, and it was in my county. Wow, it seems both yesterday and a lifetime ago. That care home was in our old neighborhood and DD's BFF's mom is a nurse at Evergreen so we were getting her updates in those scary first days. katlady , I think we are in the same county. I plan to mask everywhere for a while, partly because half the places I go to right now are medical facilities that require it, and partly because it is just a habit and easier to do it all the time. DH isn't wearing his at the office anymore but always wears one on job sites and outside meetings. DS is still required to wear one campus. Congratulations, Dani-Mani . ETA DH just reminded me that he was at SeaTac waiting to head home when I told him about the outbreak in Kirkland. He'd been flying up weekly and didn't get on a plane again for over a year.

I personally will still be wearing mine. I think it is too soon to remove masks. That may be my paranoia talking, but I'm just not ready to go naked faced just yet.

Yes. Mandates are just lifted, and my school district has been mask optional since last week. I’m still masking and have no plans to do otherwise for the foreseeable future. I want to wait and see how things go.

Our mask mandate was never reinstated. I started wearing a mask again just after Christmas and continued until last Tuesday. I was always in the minority wearing a mask, often with maybe one or two other people in a store that had one on. Going without lasted one day when we found out DH had been around someone on Monday who tested positive. It was a brief interaction and neither of us have gotten sick so now a week later, I went to the gym without a mask. I will be in a high pedestrian traffic situation later in the week and will likely wear a mask but mostly I'm going without. Our numbers are way, way down. I think the only reason we are still at risk per the CDC is a lack of hospitals in my area.

I do not want to wear my mask now that the mandate has been lifted but everywhere I go, post office, eatery, Target, everyone is still masked. First we couldn't get people to put it on and now people are wary of taking it off.

Our mask mandate ended today and I didn't wear one while I was out. It's mixed in my area. Some people were still wearing masks and others were not. I stopped at the grocery on my way home and my store is still requesting customers wear masks. No problem, just donned mine. Other places I was at didn't care one way or the other.

I was at Whole Foods today and I would say that probably one in ten people inside went maskless (San Francisco).

Our provincial mandate is lifted 01MAR. Work has an employee mandate until the end of March. They figure that numbers will increase over the next 2 to 3 weeks w the province dropping it. It will cover until it stabilizes after the initial increase. They are just worried that an entire office will have to shut due to everyone getting sick lol
