No it won't. But it will let men have their bodies regulated so they now how that feels. Sexual assault is already illegal. I don't know why men having vasectomies would increase this.

Honestly way to just broadcast that you're an imbecile - this isn't even debatable, it's not even prolife, it's just demonstrating that you have absolutely no idea how pregnancy works.

The guy who wrote this bill is probably also one of the people who claims that women could prevent unwanted pregnancy if they'd just "keep their legs closed for the two days a month they're fertile."
This is what comes of not having thorough sex ed in schools. Imbecile parents pass on their imbecile beliefs to their kids, who grow up and become Republican legislators.

So here's a question. What about miscarriages? The normal procedure after a miscarriage is a D&C to clean out the uterus of any left over tissue. Will they now start to consider that an abortion as well? As someone further up thread said - to me the Republicans are not pro-life, they are pro-birth. And this makes them pro-death! This is disgusting! Obviously none of these people had wives or daughters who had ectopic pregnancies or had one themselves.. I have to think they would feel differently if they had. Women with the means to do so will continue to get a D&C under the radar. Poor women will suffer the brunt of these bills.

DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!! Sounds like they don't care about women who might have an ectopic pregnancy. My niece just told me that her ob/gyn reminded her that she can't get pregnant the normal route or her life would be at risk! She'd need to get pregnant via IVF, and unless she could prove that it's life-threatening, it won't be covered under her insurance.
These politicians really need to wise up and change their antiquated "new" ideas. It's so out of hand now.

I would be curious about this too. The acquaintance that I mentioned above, his wife has had 11 miscarriages. I wonder how she would feel if she weren’t allowed medical care after even one loss. We also have another acquaintance in common and she lost her baby at 38 weeks. I know that some of these conservative idiots want all pregnancy losses investigated, I wonder how they would all feel if on top of her grieve she was to be hounded by the uterus police. Although I suppose because they are the crazy kind of Christian conservatives they would get a pass.

Women just need to protest by cutting men off. No more sex. But then will come legislation where it’s perfectly fine, a-ok, acceptable and right to rape a woman who dares to refuse a man sex.

And like I mentioned previously, it was not uncommon back in the day for women to be questioned about whether their miscarriage was really an abortion. I really hate anyone who supports any of these horrible laws/bills.

I'm hearing from some that it's midterm election hype, but we need to take their threats seriously. Many women in TX are already suffering. Many women in states that have all but outlawed abortion are suffering. We have a Trump packed court that will not uphold the law.
Republican Peas, please don't vote for these people. They'll keep pushing legislation that further diminishes the rights of women citing 'pro-life' as a persuasion. They will seek to control you as well when they feel they've grabbed enough power to make it impossible to for you to fight.

I had to have a D&C prior to my uterine ablation. I'm sure that's a no no in their eyes as well.

I've talked plenty of times here about me being anti-abortion in almost all circumstances. And I do think at least this provision in this bill will be struck down. (Also to be clear, I have never felt anti-abortion legislation is a good thing anyway.) But it does make it clear to me (yes, I know some of you are thinking FiNALLY!) that there are people out there who will stop at nothing. I have never had a problem with medically necessary abortions, although to be fully transparent, my definition of medically necessary may not be exactly the same as "yours." An ectopic pregnancy seems like it should be a slam dunk, it's not even an abortion in my eyes. Even though it is technically removing a live fetus, that fetus has zero chance at life and a huge risk of injury or death to the mother. Yet here we are, with legislation proposed that would make a clearly medically necessary situation a felony. While I've not supported the legislation here in Texas, for example, I think this Missouri one really makes me see the slippery slope here. Thank you for always being honest and knowing that we all have different views and we can talk about it. And thank you for giving me that space to be honest.

Wait, you cannot do anything about an ectopic pregnancy? Are they trying to kill off Republican voters that are women? You can die from this, correct? And there is no possibility of a fetus growing to term, right? What in the world are they thinking? Have they not consulted any doctors? I was livid when I first read about the 90-day bullpucky, but this? Insanity! I don't care what it would cost me, I would be moving out of any state that decided they had a right to govern my uterus. I'm too old for any more children, but still, it is the principle of the matter. Leave women's reproductive organs alone. I would love to see a bill introduced that mandated something about testicles and then watch to see men go nuts. Maybe mandatory removal of them at a certain age? I think they are hoping to kill more women and that's why they are being so anti-woman. I don't think a man should have a say in the reproductive rights of women. Until we women can mandate vascetomies on men.
I'm more of the mind of mandating castrations at this point.

I’m so over all of this. It’s cruel, disingenuous and ignorant. My mom almost died from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. I have the urge to spew and rant but I’ll refrain. It’s hard not to despair when I see what’s happened to my country. There has always been darkness but it seems we’re striving for the depths of depravity these days.
