I'm so glad we bought a truck (NOT).. ugggg.. I think it is 3.99 where I am at in Colorado. I try to fill up before it is half empty. Makes me feel a little better.. LOL..
I'm going to start to drive my son's Mazda 3 to work though. We need to get the transmission fluid changed first.. Going to try to do that this weekend. Thank goodness we have an extra little car. DS almost sold it but it's been a great little car for a backup. DH drives it when he is in town. DS hardly ever drives it unless his truck is in the shop (but that is not normal as it is pretty new)... And I only drive it if my truck is out.. which again is hardly ever.

I paid $3.89 yesterday. I was 40 miles from E, and it cost me $50 to fill up my Ford Escape. Thankfully, I don't drive much and work not far from home.

Cant’ wait for California to start with the “summer blend” that’s “less polluting” but raises the cost per gallon. In February, refineries do maintenance, which slows down some production. Then in March and April they start making the summer blend. Everyone has to be using Summer Blend by May 1st. So I think some of our price increases is already reflecting this.

We were on the mainland on Saturday and the highest price I saw (Chevron, right off I-5) was $5.59 a gallon. Most inexpensive gas I've seen is on the island at $4.35 a gallon, which is a shocker because gas on the island is always more expensive than anywhere else.

In the UK the highest according to the motoring organizations is £1.87 Litre and the lowest is £1.43 with an average price of £1.59 per litre across the country. A US gallon ( it's different to a UK gallon) is equivalent to 4 UK litres. At today's conversion rate that would work out at $8.28 per US gallon for the average £1.59 ( $2.07) litre price. I paid £1.79 a litre the other day. Yikes!! Yikes indeed

As I posted this morning, within about 4 days, ours dropped about 30 cents per gallon to $4.06 per gallon. Today, 3 days later, I drove past the station and it is now $3.89!! That was at Sams club. Most of the other stations are $4.19, down from $4.29. We were joking that the difference in the prices could equal or cost more than the cost of a Sams Club membership for one or two fill ups. Then you could pay the much lower price in gas. The same goes for Costco and BJs. I’m in Daytona Beach FL. Hopefully everyone else’s prices start going down too!

$4.50 outside of Chicago. It has been rising quickly, so I expect it to keep going up for a while. That has also been reflected and a big spike in our food prices overnight. (Small rural town, so our stores feel any issues quickly and the prices reflect that)

The price of oil went under $100 a barrel today. Anyone seeing any decreases at the pump? You know cause even a sniff of it going up, they raise them.
Just checking that it works the same way when it goes down. 😏

I noticed I posted above in March that it was $5.65. It did go slightly above $6 in April and now it is back “down” to around $5.80.

Lowest is $4.49 for regular in northern Virginia near Washington DC and Maryland.
An hour away to a more rural area, $4.19
In DC proper lowest is $4.09.

$4.09 for ethanol blend in town.
I have it in my barrel at home, that I paid just under $3 last fall. I buy bulk fuel and fill up at home almost 100% of the time. Very rarely fill up at a station unless it is considerably cheaper than my contracted gas or if I am out of town for an extended time and need gas.

Roughly $4 gallon for us. DH drives for his job. Our monthly gasoline bill was between $350-$400/ month before this nightmare started. I paid the bill the other day and it was $1029.84.
