While his rant at his rally last night in South Carolina was under an hour he did drop this little gem.
I guess trump thinks the Presidential powers should be more like Putin and Xi’s.
And he is correct in his response to a response…

Based on his past behavior and say for giggles sake that somehow he is re-elected and does do away with the federal civil service system we can expect more of this type of behavior of spite, demanding absolute loyalty and always agreeing with him or else.
I wonder if he could get away with it if he would start throwing his critics in jail on made up charges like Putin & Xi do. There is no doubt in my mind that he would if he could.

Holy cow. He is a dangerous fool. The man who tried repeatedly to change the results of a fair election wants to staff his administration with sycophants. Trump knows nothing of the world. He would almost certainly side with Putin, and might well opt out of NATO.
This idiot cannot get near the Oval Office.

He will do whatever he chooses. No holds barred! Dissenters will be shot, jailed and/or disappeared.. If McCarthy et al think they will be safe, they are wrong. When their usefulness is done, so will they be, GONE!

It horrifies me to think of the formerly rational, middle-class working folks who support him and have no qualms about admitting it! I live in a rural area of a red state, and the trump humping by so many friends and acquaintances has caused me to reevaluate and back away from a number of those relationships. I feel like I am alone in the wilderness with no way out. Same goes for the states surrounding me. I will not be surprised when he is re-elected in 2024.

It’s so sad how many grown ass adults can’t be bothered to vote. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 ETA: The fact that he is admitting that he wants total control should frighten the hell out of everyone. I mean, picture Junior in a Trump Cabinet. It’s the stuff of nightmares.

My god. And he has the nerve to call Democrats socialists. If this isn't a pure fascist dictatorship, I don't know what is. To hell with the constitution. To hell with the three branches of government. To hell with the division of power. I honestly think the only way for this nightmare to end is for him to die. His ego is to big and his followers too blind for any other option to work.

Jesus Christ this is scary. And the gas prices are making some democrats (me) question their votes. Then something like this gets said amd I know I’m not the problem and I’ll continue to vote democrat.

One of my friends is so trump jumping tgAt I can’t even go on Facebook. This gas thing has some trumpers really wound up. And I get it. My husband relies on diesel fuel to do his job. $300 every few days to fill up really hurts and our customers are going to feel it. But Jesus Christ people. Trump id not the answer.

Gas prices are UP all around the world . How would Biden control that? The Republicans wanted the actions that have been taken by Biden, they will of course deny it to their constituents... Now they are demanding planes be sent .. if that goes not so good, they will deny that .. no different then them taking credit for stimulus dollars, infrastructure etc, all which they voted NO for.. julie5

I can’t think of one thing on the democrats agenda now or in the next 20 years that would make question voting for them. Republican voters scream about socialism 24/7 but welcome full on fascism. Oh wait, they are too low IQ ignorant to define either. Got it.

But I can't question voting for Biden - that's irrelevant here. He has nothing to do with gas pricing, neither does Trudeau. So how does flipping parties change the prices??

I mean, picture Junior in a Trump Cabinet. It’s the stuff of nightmares. This admission is not new. He already admitted that in late 2020. It’s in the federal register - #13957. It just got buried by election news. Trump already did this exact same thing via executive order, effectively making the federal civil service a Trump political arm (just like he did with the DOJ under Barr). The only reason it wasn’t implemented then was because lists from agencies as to which employees would be reclassified were due Jan 2021, and by then, it was expected Biden would revoke it when he’s sworn in (and he did). Did y’all see the straw poll results from CPAC Orlando? 59% vs DeSantis. After Jan 6 insurrection, impeachment twice, corruption, etc (the list is too long)…still 59%. If his supporters didn’t care before why would they care if it happens again?

We’ll because gas only goes above $5 a gallon when there’s a democrat in office. Now I think it’s pure coincidence but the trumpers and anti-obamas say it’s because of party. So that’s why I would question it. Since you ask. I question my votes either way because this country fucking sucks. Honestly the whole planet does and some days I have a hard time living on it. Maybe it’s virus fatigue, or political crap, or parenting a special needs adult but I can’t seem to vote for change without friends calling me every name on the planet and I can’t stick my head in the sand and ignore all much as I would like to. So yeah I’m a pretty bad place politically.

Part of it has to do with this: CNN also averaged more adults 25-54 than rival MSNBC, but averaged fewer A25-54 viewers than Fox News and also this: with only a handful of consumers between 18 and 64 reading newspapers on a daily basis.

Explain that to me like I’m 5 - I don’t understand what you are talking about. 😊 I get it’s the news stations but it doesn’t answer my question. She’s thinking about changing her vote to republican because gas prices are high. I replied that prices are also high in Canada (as well as all over the world) so how does Biden have anything to do with it? And what does voting Republican do to change it?

cakedivaI'm sorry that seemed like a non-sequitur. My fault for not being clear. What I'm saying is that Americans who get their news from sources that are Pro-Trump look to blame Biden for everything, an idea that Fox "News" is happy to reinforce. Also, the US President generally gets blamed for fuel prices & inflation, even though he has little control over either, something that would be understood by somebody who learned from the business/finance pages of reputable newspapers. Those who are uneducated also tend to be non-readers, unwilling to research to form a basis for critical thinking, and that makes them vulnerable to whatever grievance-based con man comes along.

We’re already shedding Hispanics, black voters and independents. Whatever working class support we were able to hang onto is eroding because of inflation (which is exacerbated by high gas prices). Voters are not going to buy "This is Putin's fault." I cannot stress enough how crucial it is to not lose the black vote. It’s what sent Biden to the WH and it’s what gave us +1 in the Senate. Lose that bloc and we’re done for. We cannot afford to be massacred in the midterms. We can turn this around but we need to do something now.

The last thing that I read was that she said she thinks that it will come down-to 2%, I *think* - by the end of this year. Which does put us in the crosshairs for the midterms. I am very nervous about Rs controlling Congress. 🤷♀️
