Janet from RTS uses the word season to describe the different phases we get into with our hobby. How are you feeling about shopping for scrappy supplies these days?

I'm only buying necessities right now, but not specifically frozen.

Im not really buying anything other than my subscriptions. Not trying to save money or be frozen, but also not finding anything that I have to have.

I'm in the I've just recently had to move my entire craft room and two closets worth of paper season. I know I don't NEED anything, but if something speaks to me (yes, paper can talk), I will listen to what it has to say. Recently the Simple Stories Vintage Coastal mentioned that I have Florida Keys layouts to finish and the Cocoa Vanilla No Limits reminded me that I don't have it. So there you go.

I haven't made a scrappy purchase since November. I didn't really set a spending freeze goal. I just haven't seen anything I had to have. I'm starting to think I shopped so much through the pandemic because I was bored. I did scrap a lot but I also shopped A LOT. I like some of the new collections but when I think about buying them I start thinking about how they look a lot like supplies that I already have and then I pass on the purchase. Could I actually be burned out on scrappy shopping? I never thought that would happen.

I'm mostly frozen -both because I have more than enough and because I want to be more thoughtful with my purchases. I've mainly been replenishing staples -cardstock, adhesive, new cutting plates/mat, new blade for my Cricut. But I did get a couple of dies and a tool carousel for my desk.

I'm supposed to be frozen for 50 LOs - but I have already failed at that and started over. I shopped a lot during the pandemic and I really do want to use my stash lol.

I have pretty much almost always bought as needed and when a line comes out that I really like and could use.
I have never had a big space to store so I have to be mindful of that.
So some years I may buy 2 or 3 lines and other years 5 or 6.
Just depends on needs.

I was frozen until just a couple of weeks ago. I thought that when I had reached my goal of 50 LO's I would go crazy when I got to the LSS's. But I was pretty casual about it. Picked up just the papers I was pretty sure I would use. Nothing really blew me away. Hee hee 950nancy, No Limits is speaking to me, too. Taunting me. Saying "You don't want to miss ME...".

I am in the not really inspired by much that is out there right now, not really scrapping much season.
If I could find something I liked I'd buy it...

I have limited myself to just one subscription, to Cocoa Daisy. I am trying to buy fewer physical supplies and more digital. I have recently gotten more interested in stamping, thanks to all of the great YouTube videos by Heba, Choux Puff, and others. I've purchased a few new stamps, but I'm not going overboard with anything since I hate clutter. I'm retired now, so I have been spending more time in my craft room, and I love it.

I have a couple of pre-orders that I placed in January and February, due in March and April. I think I'll be satisfied for awhile after this, until the AC stuff hits JoAnn's over the Spring Summer season. If I can get some of those goodies on sale over the summer, bit by bit, I'll be happy.

Someone upthread mentioned shopping out of boredom during the pandemic. That was definitely me.
This year I’m mostly frozen in an effort to use more of my stash. It’s working for the most part. I’ve picked up a couple things here and there, but have also been able to step away from full shopping carts, too. I’m trying.

I'm occasionally buying collections and supplies, and only adding to certain categories.
I have a good, medium sized stash, and don't want it to get out of hand.
I also have holes in my themes and don't want to scrap everything generically. I could, i just don't want to.

I tend to shop a lot less in the first 8 months of the year, then go a bit nuts from the end of Aug-Dec. I'm sure that contributes to my goal each year to use things, which I've been pretty good about so far. I've nearly finished my 50 layouts before shopping challenge, and there are some things I'd like but I'm also not ready to shop yet. I find the more I create, the less I want to shop. I would really like to reduce my stash a little as I overbought during the last couple of years, especially from small businesses, but I also wanted to support those businesses where I could.

I restarted my scrapbooking/crafting hobbies during the pandemic and bought a lot of supplies, and also spent a good deal of time cleaning out and purging my old supplies. I am happily using what I have, and am semi-frozen. I still get PP and Hip Kit Club monthly kits, which I love, and if there is a new line out that I like, I will buy a few individual papers, but I have stopped buying entire lines like I used to do. I have not really seen much that I like in the Spring and Summer collections, just a few pieces of the AC collections that I preordered from ACOT. I do, however, reserve the right to buy entire Pinkfresh collections if I like them

I'm trying not to buy unless I truly need something. I have a variety of reasons - too much stuff, moving, not wanting to spend on crafts because I have moving expenses. I will probably go on a binge once I am settled again!
I did buy some golf embellishments. I didn't have any and our grandson has really gotten into golf. His mom sent me cute photos.

I have one sub and then only buying what I know I’ll specifically use. So unless I have a project in mind an event coming up or a need for something already in progress I don’t look. I have too much bought from FOMO and it’s just sitting untouched.

No subs. Only buying "essentials" - adhesive, mostly, and sale stuff. This is my usual "season" Been really getting through my stash in the last year.

I'm in the use it up season. I have been officially frozen since the beginning of the year but according to ACOT, I haven't purchased anything since April 2021. I don't count photo printing supplies which I just replenished last week.
I wasn't scrapping too much last year and apparently, there was nothing I had to have.

I don't go on 'spending freezes'; however, I do have a goal to get ALL my kits/collections into one drawer of my desk so I am consciously not buying that category of supplies and focusing on using what I have. I am replacing things like cardstock and adhesives as needed.

Interesting question. I was frozen for the longest time until I saw everyone's December Daily albums. I've been on a buying spree since them.

I selected "I'm trying to shop less." I really want to reduce my paper stash, so this year my goal is to use twice as much pattern paper as I buy. I know a hard freeze doesn't work for me, so this is helping me to be more thoughtful and plan my purchases a little bit better. I am letting myself buy embellishments and 6x6 pads if they help me to use up my older stash, but I am really watching the 12x12 paper as it is my weakness.

Same, although I didn’t start over. I’m still trying to make it to 50. I think I will try a frost for April, before the iNSD sales hit. I really just want to make a dent in my “inventory” (as Janet says).

I chose the first option - I am regularly buying new collections and other supplies.
One of my favourite designers, Just Jaimee at The Lilypad, offers a really good deal on her new bundle every month, so I almost always buy that. They do a BYOC (Build Your Own Collection) at The Lilypad on the first weekend of every month, so as well as buying Jaimee's bundle, I also buy co-ordinating products from other designers.
Then they have a Something Old Something New 50% off sale every Wednesday, for selected new and existing products.
The Digital Press has a Publishers Picks 50% off sale every Tue/Wed/Thur.
I also buy their new designer collaboration kit most months.
Then Katie Pertiet offers a new template for only 99 cents every week, plus regular sales.
There are so many different weekly or monthly sales in the world of digital scrapbooking, there is no way I could ever be frozen for fear of missing out on something fabulous.
