I live in Northern VA, and both adult DDs live in the PNW (one in OR, one in WA state -- only about 20 minutes apart). Oldest DD & her DH are expecting their first child in early summer. I'm traveling out there for a visit next week, and again after the baby is born. DS will be graduating from college in May too, so I have a lot going on in the next couple of months. With 2 trips planned plus Easter plus a college graduation, I may not get as much scrapping done this quarter as I did in Q1, but I'll see how it goes!
I've been scrapping since the late 90s. I've been a stamper and card-maker since before that time. I started watercoloring in 2018/2019 and began adding watercolor to my arsenal of card-making techniques in 2020. When time permits, I also do cross-stitch, jewelry-making (beads), & a little sewing (only basic stuff). I mainly scrap trips/vacations and special events, predominantly 12x12, but have made a few 8x8 or 9x12 gift albums.

Hello team! I live in Washington I have been scrapping since 1995 or 1996… not totally sure! I have been stamping since 1995 and gave it up when I found Scrapping but now stamp with my scrap projects. I scrap pocket page style now. I used to do 12x12 traditional layout style albums and then took a break for years and years and started again recently with Pps. My goal for this quarter to start/work on the other albums I have planned and purchased things for along with my PL album.

Hey team!
I live in California with my husband and dog. I started scrapbooking when I graduated college, though didn't start for real until 2019, but I grew up with a scrappy mom. My goal for this quarter is to enjoy the process!

Yes, let's have fun and use up our supplies! I have plenty . . . ! My focus during 1st quarter turned out to be making cards. I am on a just for fun design team called Retro Rubber Challenge Blog, I've been with them since the inception in 2014! Wow, I had to go look that up. I am also on Imagine Crafts (the America's dealer for Tsukineko inks) Design Team. I was an Artist in Residence with the in 2016 an 2017, then Guest Designer in 2021, and Designer in 2022. All that means is they send me product to play with and then publish my projects on their blog. For Imagine it is a written tutorial so it takes a bit more time. Soooooooo, when my DH and I discussed that this summer we would spend about 1/2 our time at home here in Central Oregon and the other half in Minnesota 1,670 miles away I decided I better get all my DT projects DONE and posted. You know how time gets away from you when you are traveling! Plus I can't have my entire craft room with me in MN! When I am in that type of creative mode I need ALL my tools!
Now scrapbooking, I can plan my page kits, do titles etc and plan embellishments ahead of time! Especially with the quarter system for challenges here at 2peasrefugees! Great jumping off point. Take one bag on the road trip and be good to go. So Just a few more projects for DT obligations, and I am good to go.
By the way, go put in your challenges and earn a few points too!

Thanks for hosting us, Neva. I look forward to another quarter of scrapping, organizing and chatting!
I live in Utah.
I have been scrapping since I was a child. Dad used to make wooden scrapbook albums for us with fancy wooden covers. We filled them with photos, postcards, letters, etc. I got more serious about it in the 60's and scrapped dances, high school events, etc. I was introduced to CM party in 1994 and that got me going in the more modern way. Didn't stay long with CM because it was so restrictive.
I have been stamping since the 90's. I am not much of a stamper. I'd rather cut and paper piece.
I both scrap and make cards
My goal for this quarter is to get my paper more organized and finish the box of photos I still have on my table.

Hello everyone! Thank you for having me as a late addition and hosting us all, angel97701! I live in the south-east of France, on the Mediterranean shoreline. I came to scrapbooking late in comparison to most Peas, around 2014 when I heard about Project Life. I don't have a scrap room or office space in our 1-bedroom apartment so I mostly haul my micro stash around and scrap sitting on the floor at the coffee table (hence my "sleeping booty" situation). My goal for Q2 is to keep up with my memory planner after picking this project back up in late February when the invasion of Ukraine happened. I also want to work my way back to the beginning of the year if possible. And of course, Project Life, as always...

Hey Everyone! I'm excited for a new quarter!
I live in Missouri I've been scrapping since 1999 - a lot of off and on through the years I don't consider myself a stamper, although I love stamps and have plenty of them. I never got into stamping or cardmaking. I do use stamps in my scrapping and I'm working to incorporate more of that. I mostly scrap traditional LO's but am dabbling a bit with pocket pages. The jury is still out on that one lol.
My goal for the quarter is to focus more on the Saturday sketches and the POTW projects. My second goal it to move my scrapspace back into my home office. Even though it's not ideal, scrapping without a real dedicated place I can leave things out is messing with my mojo. My nosy cat won't let me leave things out in the open for long lol.

So pleased to be an Artful Ally.
I live in Central Pennsylvania with my husband and my daughter. Husband and I are retired, daughter with intellectual challenges works in a sheltered workshop. (It's a happy, positive place...) I went to a Creative Memories party in the early 90's and did a little but became busy with 2 little ones. Years later, early 2000's I went to a Stampin' Up party and enjoyed it. That and a purchase of "Cardmaker" magazine led me to cardmaking. Looking for iPad apps for papercrafting led to the 2 Peas original store site and here I am. The scrapbooking I've done is mostly thanks to you all!
My goal for the quarter is to do more cardmaking.
I just started a volunteer job in a classroom 6 hours a week. All the fun and none of the planning, woo hoo!

Wow, what a great check in ladies! We spread across the US and in two more countries. It's great that our commonality is our love of paper (or pixels!), in memory keeping or card making.
Linda Just out of curiosity, what is your altitude? I live at 3,400 ft, hence the name High Desert. scrappinwithoutpeas My guess your DD's are in the PDX metro Vancover area. There is more rain there that where I am at in Oregon. What fun a new baby! paget Which side of Washington? The rainy side or out East, we might be closer than we know! MDscrapaholic Since your teens? I guess I can say the same, but not archival acid free style. I have a bunch of photos I trimmed with scissors in magentic photo albums that I really should go rescue! scrappyrabbit So you are a second generation scrapper? My mom and sis scrap too, and back in the heyday of Conventions, and retreats we would often go together as mother/daughter time. Mostly before my dad became dependent on my mom. I miss those times. Bet your furchild get lots of attention! MARIBETHR So have you gone to all the courthouses, or have photos from other source? What an ambitious project. There might be a museum that will be interested in your documentation at some point? nylene Your early scrapbooks must be very precious, what a joy to have those! sleepingbooty Now I understand your 2Ps name, LOL! Has the war had much effect on France? My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine. We have personal friends who were (are) missionaries in Ukraine. They are now in Moldova and Hungary I believe. They've not posted in FB recently. They are helping with the Ukraine refugees, as they are American citizens and could not stay in country. joyfulnana For me the pocket pages seem to limiting, and I hesitate to pick up another style that will cost $$$$ when I already have so much stuff anyway! azcrafty I too am a die addict, but the same is true of stamps and . . . . jjpeapea Volunteer job sounds perfect! Have fun!
Question of the week:
What is your favorite color and why? My favorite color for a very long time has been purple. Why? I makes me feel happy, any light shades for spring and summer, dark shades for fall and winter. I often wear purple . . . seems to make my eyes more blue. I don't get to scrap with purple very often, but when I do it also makes me happy!

Linda Just out of curiosity, what is your altitude? I live at 3,400 ft, hence the name High Desert. 187 ft...Florida is pretty flat - the highest point is 345ft and that's the lowest highest point of any US State. I don't really have a favourite colour - I like blues and greens...and I tend to be drawn to them scrapbookwise as well.

MARIBETHR So have you gone to all the courthouses, or have photos from other source? What an ambitious project. There might be a museum that will be interested in your documentation at some point? My dream as a young girl was to visit all the county courthouse, however, I realized that I would never get to travel that extensively so I attempted to reach out to those on social media to take photos of there county courthouse and send it to me. I have received some this way, but I reached out to a gentleman that has a website that he has placed all his photos on and he allowed me to use them. So this is where I am getting most of my photos now.

I have many pages about him already, and we only just adopted him back in October. We (my sister and I) actually got my mom into scrapping. She did scrapbooks of travels with my dad, and her quilting. She also did a big one for his 80th birthday, 15 years ago. For each grandkid she did a graduation album in 8" x 8". She hasn't really scrapped since my Dad declined. He passed on 1/31/22 after 7 years with Alzheimers. Mom is only 82 so she is adjusting and ready to do some more traveling now that she is not Dad's full-time caregiver.
So does you pup have his "own" scrapbook? One of my forever dogs, did . . . a set of small Creative Memories albums. My second forever dog has one started 8" x 8". But it's on the back burner, as it is mostly my memories about her.
I have so many photos of my boys I want to scrap now! I try to put them in the albums chronologically, but also scrap recent events and then they end up in Iris cases. Oh well!

I do those photos by state. Working on Michigan now. When someone does send me a photo if I have not already done a page from the website photos, I will use the one that is personally photographed and sent. If I have already done one from the website and someone personally sends me one that they photographed I will make an additional page. Yes, it is a dream, and I am enjoying the project.

I'm about as far inland as one can get in Florida - hurricanes are typically down to just tropical storms by the time they reach us and often are more flood than wind events

I'm sure those scrapbooks are and will be treasured for a long time! No my pup doesn't have his own... yet.. lol. I am also putting things away chronologically and just incorporating his pages into the timeline. I actually might separate all my national park pages this past year, since we visited 5 national parks last year and 2 this year already, with another park visit planned for next weekend. I currently have them built into the albums chronologically, but it could be cool to see them as their own book. Each park is so unique and different!

Ohhh yes, a "National Parks album". What a great idea, I've visited a few in my time, but don't have a separate album. I might go back and do what you are thinking of doing, as it would be cool to see all of the ones I've (we've) visited! I am a National Park junkie, in that I have books about them, a pop-up book from Costco from a few years ago, and of course post cards from all of the ones I have visited!

She is combining vacation with some remote work. She’s a software developer so she can work remotely when she wants. The first part of the trip is with her best friend and BF’s husband; she said: We are doing 6 nights in Nice to start and then probably 2 nights in Chamonix (French alps) and 1 night in Lyon before they fly out of there the next morning The rest of the time she will be alone. She’s doing Paris for a week while she works remotely (the rest of the trip will be no work) and then heading south and no firm plans yet. She said she’d love to go to Provence and interested in any recommendations. Funny side note, the housing development we lived in for 18 years was named Provence (a few together had French inspired names).
