Happy crafty weekend anyone? I hope some of us are able to take advantage of the prompts and community this weekend with our "2 peas days" crop going on. Not to mention double points The raccoons got me up early. They chitter loudly, early. Mama moved into our roof/attic about 2 weeks ago. We saw her, and tried to block her, but you know raccoons! I was afraid it was a "she"; yesterday, many many miniature paws and snouts poking out of our roof confirmed my fears. My own kids are obviously in love, and being such animal lovers we'll just suck up the mess and fix it once the family moves out! A follow up to the dance recital. I did dance. It was scary, but once on stage the audience was so supportive that it was fun. Were we good? We are first year tappers, so NO. DH and I settled on "better than adequate" in description... he expected less from us... so I think that's a win

grammadee just posted this: Here is the points structure for the crop weekend May 13-15:
Each day of the crop there will be PROMPTS posted in the thread & then copied & pasted into the OP. Each prompt will have points attached to completing it. These points are available from May 13th to the end of Q2.
BONUSES: If you meet ALL the prompts for one day, you earn a bonus of 25 points. Meet all the prompts from any TWO days for an additional bonus of 100 points. Get 'em ALL and take an additional bonus of 200 points.Earn DOUBLE points for meeting crop prompts and/or any other challenges you meet May 13th-15th. So your points for crafting hours, organization, purchases, whatever... Boom! Double if earned between now and Sunday. This included any BONUS points you earn during the crop! All quarter long: PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE 10 POINTS/HOUR FOR CRAFTING! Being on the boards, pinterest, watching youtube videos about crafting - it all counts. This weekend: DOUBLE THAT TO 20 POINTS/HOUR!

I am thinking of hosting a pop up virtual crop on Wednesday the 25th from 8:30 AM Pacific until about 11:30 AM. (11:30- 2:00 Eastern) when the girls head out to school. Anyone that has Wednesday free to play is welcome to join me.
I will start a thread on the GS board in a bit, but thought I would give the Crew a heads up. Even if we don’t finish anything during that time, we get double points per hour if we craft together.

Happy JUNE, Crew!
One more month to this quarter, and I predict a LOT of math for me. Didn’t add anything in May before I left home, and coming home with 18 completed pages that will need to be shared and scored. I keep promising myself I will do better, and then…
I am booked to fly to Calgary today. Then the long drive to the farm on Friday, stopping at greenhouses along the way to pick up veggie bedding plants. Had hoped to have help on the weekend to get them into the ground, but dd has COVID, so her family will be unable to come and help.
How is everyone doing heading into the home stretch?

Oh No grammadee, the "vid" got the family? Is your dd feeling rough or is she pulling through it well? Steer clear of her! I got my plants in the ground last week. Will you try to get a start on your own or wait until they come to help? I know your growing season is short like mine, so I hate delays! @sunnycamom - I am STARTING to print out more on my printer since I actually have a reasonably decent one now, but I loved the quality of prints I got from Costco so much that it's a hard change for me. I keep meaning to edit a batch of photos and print from the costco online photo service, see how the quality is. But honestly, my printer is certainly "good enough" and I have more control over sizes if I print at home. So happy June to the Crafty Crew, tagging as well boymom5, teacherlisa, destined2bmom, cycworker, Ryann, natscraps, christinec68, justjac, Chinagirl828, schroema - give us a quick update on how your life and crafts are going!

Life is a poop show. Formula issues continue. Tore my meniscus. Insurance issues. It is what it is.
Crafting took a bit of a back seat the last few days but I am hoping to create a 9x12 layout this evening to take my mind off what I can not control.
Looking forward to summer break - 1 more week for DS. DD and DH are already done.

kitbop, I won’t wait for the garden plants. Even if I can only do a few each day it will be better than waiting a whole other week. I may concentrate on getting the plants in and leave things like the tomato cages and screens for over the cabbage until I get help. Dd is really hit hard. She has been “horizontal” since yesterday morning. Aches and pains, fevers and chills, sore throat, and now she says her chest is burning. She said her inhaler was helping. @sunnycamom, I hope a new month brings a better experience all around. (((((HUGS)))))

I haven’t been too active on here as we’ve been doing a lot since we are on break from school all month. I have gotten maybe 10 LOs done over the past couple of weeks though. Through March for my PL except for journaling and a few older pages. We start school back up in two weeks so a lot of time planning and organizing for that vs crafting. I should actually have more time for crafting once we start up again. Oh and getting the garden is has been a distraction. Here’s to hoping I can actually get all my seedlings in!
@sunnycamom I’m sorry to hear that the shortage is affecting you. I can’t even Imagine how stressful and unsettling that is for your family.

Hi everyone! I'm just checking in...thanks for the tag kitbop There's a whole lot of nothing going on here. We were on vacation for a week in the middle of May which was nice. We saw Maverick on Memorial Day and I loved it. Never has a movie made me so happy. It's bizarre but there ya go. Work is good. I felt like I was getting caught up was a mirage but I finally arrived and it is glorious. I've done minimal scrapbooking this quarter but I do have 6 or 7 layouts to point & share plus a 3 day weekend coming up. I hope to carve in some scrappy time. But I am sure my main contribution will be the not-shopping points which will run until the new Vicki Boutin line goes on pre-order at ACOT at which point there will probably be massive points for that purchase. Ha! @sunnycamom - I am so sorry you're feeling the effects of the formula shortage

@sunnycamom - the formula shortage is all over the news. Do you need a specific/specialty formula? I've heard those are the worst hit. I'm so sorry about your knee! Will you need surgery in the future? christinec68 - I am excited about seeing Maverick because I keep hearing good things!

Sorry I've been a bit absent recently. I started a temporary, in person, full time job three weeks ago (I've got two weeks left) for the company I previously worked at. I haven't worked at all since March 2020 (unrelated to covid), and haven't worked full time in over 12 years, so I've been very tired lately! My typical bedtime is 10pm but lately I'm lucky to make it to 8pm, lol. Once I'm done with this assignment (covering for someone on maternity leave) I will transition to a permanent, work from home, part time position with the same company. I signed up for the 2peas Q3 card exchange so I have something to push me back into crafting once I'm done working full time. I have a handful of layouts from the end of April/beginning of May that still need photos taken for sharing, and then points tallied (easy peasy all the way this month!!). grammadee I hope your daughter and family are feeling better soon. Covid seems to be on an upswing everywhere right now. @sunnycamom I hope you're feeling better soon, too! kitbop Hi!!

kitbop - have you seen Maverick yet? Ryann - that's quite an adjustment to your schedule. how long will you be filling in part time? I'm still slacking on the scrapping but I finally pointed my completed pages. It's such a chore but I can't help challenging myself to earn the points. I am 9 challenges away from the mega bonus - last month I missed by a handful. I also made up a short list of things I can easily add to get more points (see?? ha) I have one page to finish up then I can move on to the pics I pulled out last week and get to work. Oh....and the new Vicki Boutin collection was up for pre-order on ACOT so I placed an order for that this morning. It's expected to ship in September which probably means October. I have a retreat at the end of October so I hope I have it by then. ::fingers crossed::

Finally posted some of the pages I put together at ds's while I was there. Still have more to photograph and post, and I don't even want to think about the scoring. But if I do that now for the ones I have completed, maybe I can up the points on ones yet to complete. Have no idea how many challenges I have already met, but I have been racking up the sketches points and bonuses.
Wednesday I get to scrap at the LSS while my car is being worked on for another recall. This morning I found and printed a Pinterest page I want to scraplift for one page, and tonight I cut some pieces for a two-pager I plan to put together there.

grammadee you just reminded me that we have to address a recall situation for the car. How convenient there's a scrapbook store nearby. Good luck with scoring. There's no easy way. If I point as I go, I lose creating momentum but then it took me an over an hour to go through the few pages I have ready.

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA. I think I posted in here about my mom; she passed away almost 3 weeks ago. So the last month has been absolutely crazy with that (they had nothing planned), end of the school year for my DS(8th) and me(preschool aide) AND my DD graduating from high school. I’m hoping to unearth my crafting desk from everything that’s been dumped on it and get some pages done this summer.

I'm so sorry schroema. It's so hard to properly grieve the loss when you are trying to keep their affairs in order plus still deal with the rest of an adult life. Your DD's grad has to still be a big and celebrated event! Hugs to you and your family

Hi Team...happy Wednesday! How's everyone?
I can't believe the quarter is almost up. I have 3 pages to point and a bunch to photograph and share. I am 99% sure I hit the mega challenge so I'm excited about that. I'm pretty sure I have more points than last quarter which seems crazy because I don't feel like I scrapbooked as much.

I too cannot believe Q2 is winding down. The good weather months go by so quickly. I've been far away from my scrappy space...I'm struggling with any motivation. I have loved what I did manage to crank out this quarter, but it seems hard to start. I have one more sketch to work on to get my mega challenge bonus, but I am determined to count that in! I am signing up for Q3 even though I haven't been scrapping much. I keep reminding myself that the teams are a support system and I know *I* don't care how many points my team gets, so I'm pretty sure I also shouldn't judge myself by my points. Also - sketchtember is in Q3 and it's my favourite

We want to see all the crew over there. These upcoming months are some of the craftiest for some. For others, the time is spent MAKING memories rather than preserving them. But that's okay. I am thinking of throwing in a challenge of one point per photo TAKEN. With digi cameras, do you think that would throw all the calculations past gazillion? Whadaya think, kitbop?

Oooh...I'm in. I somehow missed the thread earlier. I'm not kitbop, but I think a point per picture will be too much. The points are all for fun and a moment of bragging rights when they're all tallied. There's usually a bonus for using current pictures - maybe double that?

Trying to get caught up with my points calculations. Started working backwards from now. Only have 15 days in the middle unaccounted for, but that 15 days includes the LSS in person crop, and the Peas virtual crop. Note to self: start counting earlier…✏️📲🧩☕️🙇♀️🥱….

There's usually a bonus for using current pictures - maybe double that? Yeah, it was just a thought... There usually is at least one challenge that includes bonuses for recent photos scrapped. And after my marathon of calculating points this week for Q2, I certainly don't want to add any more WORK to being a team member. It should just be about fun. Dh and I have been busy combatting weeds in the veggie garden this week, and unless it rains again I don't know how much indoor play time I am going to get. And when I don't scrap for a few days, getting back into it takes a bit more effort. I will need at least one bd card and one anniversary card for the first week in July, so I may finish those this quarter. Hoping this quarter is winding down smoothly for the Crew. It has been fun playing with you.

I have a break from work until Tuesday, July 5th! I’m so excited!!
I want to craft a bunch and get caught up on tallying points from layouts I made back in May. I’m itching to dive into Halloween projects. Christmas in July sounds like fun, too!
