I would scream out “Me next!” and then get everyone going in a few off-key rounds of We Don’t Talk About Bruno.

When I zoom in I see another person on the other side of the plane wearing a mask as well. So maybe this is recent after all. But do people on flights coming in to the US have to wear masks even if the country they are leaving from doesn’t require them? Or is it just flights leaving the US (or other countries that require masks)? Many international airlines no longer have a mask requirement. This was probably a flight in Europe, and this group is traveling around in Europe right now. Reports are that this is from April 9th. I guess if you are on say British Airways, coming to the US, you don’t have to wear a mask. I don’t know about the reverse trip. We went to Italy 2 weeks ago and we were required to wear good quality masks on the flight from the UK to Italy, even though it was a British airline.

In the US, on a public flight, I don't think that is allowed. Years ago, when large groups of Hare Krishnas would chant and beat drums in airports, LAX banned proselytizing in the airport and there was a court case that the airport won. The court ruled that an airport was not a public place where freedom of speech is allowed, but a place primarily for the purpose of plane travel, so people don't have the option to just leave. It seems like the same logic would have to apply to inside the plane.
Can you imagine having to go to the restroom and that bozo blocking the aisle? Or having just gotten your child to stop crying and fall asleep?

I would be so annoyed. We recently were on a plane that a guy started reading Harry Potter to his children. The problem was he was on one side of the aisle and the three kids were on the other side-including all the way to the window. He had to be so loud for them to hear. I was waiting for a flight crew member to be able to move about (we had just taken off) and I was going to ask them to make it stop. It lasted about 5 minutes before one of the children said “Dad can you stop? I think this is disruptive to those around us.” Seriously the 10 year old had more self awareness than the parent.

Are masks required on British Airways?BA customers will only need to wear a face covering on board flights if their destination requires it, the airline said but it has since listed places that include where it is unsure masks are required. It has now changed its website to say its needed for 50 destinations including Greece, Italy, the U.S. and Germany. So I guess you would also need to wear a mask on European airlines flying into and out of the US.

Religion is like a penis: It’s fine to have one. It’s fine to be proud of it, but don’t whip it out in public. Never have I ever, in my 21 years a pea, seen a more appropriate reply that this one.

I’d be annoyed and would say something to the flight attendant.

I would be furious - what an intrusion to have someone stand up, play the guitar and hold a singalong. It's an airplane ride, not a campfire or church service. If you are on a private plane, do whatever you want. Not on a commercial plane with "regular" people outside of your travel group. WTF is wrong with people?!

Also did they change the mask rule on flights in the States? We still have to wear them up here. I flew on Friday and the mask mandate was still in place. It was set to expire this coming Monday; I do not know if it will. I have noise-cancelling headphones but this is a lot louder than anything I am generally trying to block out. These folks are selfish.

I completely agree with everyone... i would be super highly pissed!!! HOWEVER.... i was on a flight from Dallas to Chicago and i guess the cast from a musical was moving to the next city... they rolled thru a couple songs and got great applause... ive never seen the show and didnt know the songs... but it was fun... i would not have liked it for the whole flight Edit to add this was years ago... wayyy before covid... before flash mobs too... lol Professional singers, non-religious song - I’ll tolerate a short performance. Sad, wobbly praise band voices and a poorly tuned guitar? Sit down. And frankly, the religious content does bother me. So many people think that religious material is benign and inoffensive and should be OK anywhere. It’s not. I don’t want to hear that on my plane the same way they don’t want to hear someone playing WAP. Or for that matter, how about I whip out my ukulele and lead all the kids in the plane through all the kids’ songs I know? Totally inoffensive, right? No one should mind! (It would at least be in tune.) I can't tell if you're more pissed off as a musician, or an atheist 😂 I agree with you 100%, by the way.

Stuck in a flying metal tube with shitty music and religion on top? I would lose my shit. Loudly.
As an aside, the guy in the plaid shirt is my patronus.

And FWIW, I’m all for people making music if they want to regardless of training or ability. Go for it. I support you. And I support people believing and worshipping however they want. I withdraw my support, however, where there’s a captive audience involved.

The scene from the movie, “Animal House,” when the guy was strumming a guitar on the stairs at the frat party. Yeah, too bad someone didn't grab that guitar from the guy who was playing it and bash it to pieces like in the movie. That would have been a great solution.

I am a Christian and I'd be so irritated - even if it was a famous artist singing secular music. To be trapped by loud music flying ever so fast in the sky would be a nightmare.
