I had emailed Shimelle 2wks ago thru her gmail - asking for assistance with my forgotten password- someone ( not Shimelle) had sent me a link to reset it and I did. Now I am having another senior moment and forgot that password. I have made this second request but have not had any response. I am frustrated thatI can no longer participate in the class. Any suggestions On how to reach Shimelle for assistance . Thanks

Thanks I would just respond back to the email that send you the password resent first, not sure how long ago you had emailed the 2nd time, but I'd give it at least 2-3 business days, not counting the weekend. For my email with work, response time is 2-3 business days. If you remember your username but not your password, there might be a "forgot my password" option on the site itself.

Girls, I am DROOLING over all of your gorgeous layouts here.
I have a question...... do you think that this kind of event would be something that I could do as a digital scrapper? Obviously I can't play with inks and paints and stamps etc, but I should be able to replicate most things digitally, using brushes and premade mixed media elements.
I love doing challenges, and I like the idea of getting prompts and ideas from sketches and having to use certain colour combos etc. I know it's too late for this particular event, but maybe I should think about doing another one next time (if there is a next time).
ETA: Hmmmm, it looks like you can still sign up / buy it. Should I?!

And it is def not too late, we are only on green and a lot of people are still working on red. I am only on orange. (working our way thru the rainbow) It's super fun and for 20 bucks I think it is a good value, I feel like it's entertaining and challenging. I guess one question, would you scrapbook on one computer and watch the class on another or an ipad? Or you could switch between windows, I am not 100% sure how digital scrapping works! I do know your pages are amazing though.

I do know your pages are amazing though. Thanks for the feedback kmage! It's too hard to switch back and forth from Photoshop to You Tube, so I will need to watch the videos on another device. I just went into DS's dump site, er I mean bedroom, and found his old school Chromebook sitting on the floor with orange juice spilled on the cover. Assuming he hasn't killed it, and can find the charger, I can use that to watch the videos. I think I'm gonna do it!

I just went into DS's dump site, er I mean bedroom I took out trash today and visted my DS "dump site" to see if he had anything. Ummmmm yeah. Home from college for a week and already has empty cereal box, wrappers, and a empty OJ container where he took it from the fridge and just drank out of the carton! I was wondering where my juice had gone to...anyway, I digress. I think you'll have a great time and I can't wait to see what you do with digital versions of the designs!

I've paid, now I just have to wait for the class materials to be sent through. It says it might take 48 hours. I hope I have it in time for the weekend! (Given that it's now Thursday afternoon here.)
The exchange rate is terrible at the moment, I only got about 66c to the dollar, so it cost me $30. Pffffffttt.

do you think that this kind of event would be something that I could do as a digital scrapper? Yay for signing up! You should have no problem following along in digital, there's at least one digi scrapper who reguarly shares layouts on the threads in the forum.

What did y’all think about the layout she did for inky yellow? Cutting the strips to make the border and putting four photos in four corners?
While I think it’s a little wacky and definitely not my favorite layout design by a mile, and I don’t care for the colors or pattern papers she chose at all, but I can’t wait to try it 😂. I’ll be going for a different color way entirely. I need to think of what photos to use for it.
I wasn’t expecting green to go Live before she’d wrapped up yellow, and didn’t even think to check that YT window in the class thread, so I missed the green live even though that’s the one I’d have been able to attend. So annoying!

So annoying! I totally get that, I would have been super bummed to miss that green live. I found out from an email, so maybe check your email settings to make sure you are getting the notification emails about lives, I got an email about the green live at 7 am or so on Wednesday, for the live at noon my time. Are you getting other email notifications about the other lives? I do wish the times were a little less hit and miss, but I get that she is trying to accommodate a lot of people. I didn't see the video yet for the inky yellow...or get a notification. Weird!

honeypea I just looked at the 4 photos, in the corner and ummmmmm...yeah. Talk about being out of my comfort zone. It just looks odd to me and not cohesive at all. That said, I will try it. Like the inky red blob...that I really did not like. Still looked like 4th of July to me, lol. And the green one? Yup, looks like St. Patty's Day.

kmage I got the email, but it was the one she sent after she’d already uploaded both videos. I didn’t get the morning reminder one. 🤷🏻♀️ I liked the green one a lot. Didn’t super love her rainbow clusters, but I can tweak it easily. I have been sitting on the perfect photo for this one, now I just need some time to DO it. 💖

I finally finished orange! Inky orange, I could not get behind the sliced up triangles, but I did do some ink blending. Colors used were Rustic Wilderness, Crackling Campfire and Iced Spruce. honeypea , can't wait to see your green one and that is super cruddy about the live. I am sorry!

What did y’all think about the layout she did for inky yellow? Cutting the strips to make the border and putting four photos in four corners? I haven't watched all of this video yet, I've only just got as far as her cutting the strips for the edge pieces although I have skipped ahead to see the finished layout, but the sketch alone made me rather nervous. It's well outside my comfort zone. I often don't love the paper combos Shimelle chooses, she likes a lot more colour and pattern than I do, so I'm sure that contributes to how I feel about this layout overall. I have some ideas for how I could try this and make it more my style, starting with a softer colour scheme.

I knew that border and separated photos from the last yellow layout were not a style I thought I could do well or particularly wanted in my album, so I changed it to work better with my style. The core parts of the design are still there, including the photos on all four sides, it's just that they are clustered closer together.

Chinagirl828 - I'm scraplifting YOU for that assignment! Way to make it yours - and those colours are beautiful, and I especially love the long title.

Shimelle's was definitely not my style, and while I knew the softer colours would make a big difference, I still knew it's not something I wanted to replicate so I'm glad I found a way to make it work for me. One of my favourite parts of these classes is seeing how everyone interprets the lessons as it often sparks an idea for me when I'm struggling with something, so I'm glad I can pay it forward at last.

I finally got my first page done, for RED. I liked the way it was coming along, until I added the KAPOW and the arrow, then it started looking a little bit too childish. But then again, the photos are of children, so......! I think I was just comparing my page to hers. I shouldn't do that.

Here's my version of the two shades of green + two shades of another colour layout. My clusters got a little less obviously on the diagonal than hers since I moved my title down to accommodate that large stamped word (a leftover from one of the orange layouts where I was auditioning ink colours) but I quite like how it turned out and it was a good design for using up lots of little bits and pieces. ETA - that heart near the journaling box is not pink, it's Abandoned Coral distress oxide, and the stamped fun is also coral, so weird that my scanner has decided it hates those two pieces

Chinagirl828 and AussieMeg - Your pages are so inspiring! I love how they are SO YOURS but I know where they originated at the same time. Seriously, I can't gush enough about them. I have trouble leaving comments anymore because how many times can I say "wow" "fabulous" "amazing" or "I LOVE this" without sounding disingenuous?
