donna was a long time Pea who was taken from us long before her time. Her last scrapbooking effort had been to complete her kids' albums before time ran out. Many Peas helped with that project. A Pea we have not heard from in a long while, kiwigirl , set up this challenge to keep Donna's memory alive.
So now we honour Donna's memory by getting our own photos onto scrapbook pages while WE have time to do that. Each month we set a challenge to get those photos glued onto pages. And we also have a theme.
May, 2022, theme: Mother, May I? Take this any way you like. Create a page about YOUR mother, or ANY mother. Create a page reflecting on BEING a mother. Make a mother's day card. Ya see where I am going with this.... OR, take this as a question for permission--to yourself or to the scrap gods--to try something new and different, as in "Mother, may I splatter PAINT on this page?"
I don't have anything new to include as a sample, but I did finish this page in April in an attempt to meet the March Donna Challenge of Balance. And it would definitely work for this challenge as well.
I have not been good at taking on my own challenges during the month they are posed, obviously, but I hope to complete April's challenge (Step into the Sunlight) this upcoming weekend. And remember that if you are playing for points, you will earn ONE point per photo scrapped all month no matter the theme, TEN points per page created with each monthly theme, and a BONUS of 25 points for meeting all three Donna monthly themes this quarter.
