Okay Peas, who among us would NOT put on your favorite jammies on Christmas night. Holidays finally behind you. Kids finally in bed. Exhausted and relieved. Time to sleep in your party clothes? NOPE. I would definitely put my jammies on! The fact that PR was in the clothes from the night before tells me that she spent the entire night staging the scene.
Thoughts?

I don't get dressed for bed until I'm going to bed, so while the entire thing is suspicious, I wouldn't hinge it on that.

I’m confused is the issue that she was still in party clothes the next morning? (Sorry I’m not familiar with the timeline)

The clothes make her very suspicious to me, too. The way I heard it on the True Crime Garage 6 part podcast series was that she got up in the morning to get ready for another Christmas event. Her husband went to shower but she didn’t. She got dressed in the clothes she wore to their Christmas party the night before and started putting on makeup. That strikes me as odd. A wealthy woman like Patsy would surely have another Christmas party outfit to wear. I guess she could be a night showerer but I thought it was strange.

Even I would not put on last night's party clothes. A morning party would surely call for a different type of dress clothes!

I toss clothes over my footboard that are “clirty” ie not clean but I wore them briefly and they can be worn again.
So I don’t really see an issue there. It is entirely possible I am in y pool all day and wear real clothes for about 2 hours so why not wear them more?
I think the focus on the family led to the case goi g cold. It’s a dead end. It been proven. If they had collected evidence correctly this could have been solved, but they did not.

I believe the timeline was that they had to be up very early 12/26 to fly to Michigan where they had a second home at the time. Christmas vacation and more festivities.
I agree she probably got sidetracked setting up a crime scene and never went to bed. Hence the same outfit and day-old make-up.
Only in Boulder..

I would definitely put my jammies on! The fact that PR was in the clothes from the night before tells me that she spent the entire night staging the scene. Thoughts? My thought is if it was that simple that any old person reading a few details on the internet could solve the crime then the professionals who have spent their entire lives dedicated to solving murders - would have solved it just as easily. There is nothing so simple or obvious about this case, and her parents weren't mastermind criminals, they aren't experts in committing murder or staging crime scenes - they would have been caught if it was anyone in the immediate family. She was not an abused child, there weren't old healing injuries, there wasn't evidence of long term sexual abuse. Parents don't just randomly murder their child one Christmas and are also astonishingly good at staging a crime scene that even fools the FBI. It just doesn't happen like like that.

The family was exonerated. It's gross to postulate a deceased mother who was cleared by law enforcement murdered her child, based on stupid details like that.

I think the issue is more about wearing clothes that were appropriate for a Christmas Day evening party to a party she was getting ready for early in the morning on the 26th; or, as stated above, a flight. From the very little I’ve seen/read that seems unlikely but I recognize I actually know nothing .

The whole thing definitely sets off some alarm bells. But then again, who knows? Patsy was an interesting personality, to put it mildly. Taken with the fact that the Ramsey home was cluttered and messy, I can almost believe her story of slapping on last night’s clothes.
I’m not sure that I do, though.

I don't wear, or even own pyjamas and, if I've had a busy day and am too tired to shower, I put today's clothes on the end of the bed, so I can pop them back on in the morning before I shower and change into fresh clothes. So I find nothing unusual about her being in yesterday's clothes.
I watched a doco made by some guy - maybe a retired detective? can't remember now - who proved how the intruder theory could have happened, even though the police apparently discounted that idea early on. Our Lindy Chamberlain went through the same thing in the "80's, when her baby was taken by a dingo. The cops had decided Lindy did it right from the beginning, and focused only on that, and ignored any other possible scenario. I believe the same thing happened to Patsy.

There have been breakthroughs in the Madeline McCann disappearance in the recent year (even recent weeks) and it's been 15 years. I really do hope they can solve JonBenet's murder too. She deserves justice for what was done to her.
I feel like in most cases like this, there is a lot of information the public isn't privvy to. The police, private investigators, family, FBI or whoever has intimate knowledge of ALL of the information and leads knows so much more than we do. Things we find odd has a perfectly good explanation, but that isn't released to the public because it's an ongoing case. So we sit here with all of these weird pieces of info (like the clothes Patsy was wearing) but the police may know full well if that is relevant or not, and why. All we do is speculate.
But like I have discussed in other threads about this case, I have my own suspicions about who the murderer is. Because that seems plausible to me. I know there are a lot of people who disagree with me, because it doesn't makes sense to them.
In the end, I truly just hope for some justice for that little girl.

What was she wearing on Christmas Eve? A Quacker Factory Christmas sweater? Unless it was an evening gown, it seems plausible to wear it the next morning.

The fact that PR was in the clothes from the night before tells me that she spent the entire night staging the scene. Thoughts? What makes you think that she had them on all night? I often wear clothes that I have had on the previous evening ( not typical party clothes though, I don't cook breakfast in a glittery dress) the following morning. Was she wearing party/cocktail clothes the night before? I don't wash every bit of clothing I've worn after every use - that's just a waste of resources IMO especially if they are not dirty or smell of anything and more so if I've only worn them for a couple of hours or so the first time.

There are so many, many odd details about this case, I can’t say that any one of them really stands out to me.
The sad fact is, the police bungled this case so badly from the beginning, I don’t think we’ll ever know who killed that poor child.

Just because crime dramas use "wearing the same clothes from last night" as evidence that the person is guilty doesn't apply to real life. You do understand that TV drama isn't the same as real life crime?

I’m kind of caught on the fact that people have “favorite” pajamas. 🤷🏼♀️ I can’t believe there are people who don’t 🤔 Isn’t it common to have a favorite of everything you have? Fave pair of shoes, fave pants, fave jammies. And of course grown women have jammies.
