A very good update that I was so happy to see. I hope it can lighten you and your family’s fear and stress load a bit.
I will say that it also makes me sad that we are at a point that I was watching and hoping for a positive update that someone can continue to provided food and nourishment for their child.

16 years or 16 months? I am VERY HAPPY for you! Ds is 16. He has 4 rare GI conditions (short bowel syndrome, severe allergies to proteins/foods, Pseudo intestinal Obstruction disorder, malabsorption issues) on top of Gastroparesis, and large colon surgery along with nerves that don't work. Anyways, he has been on medical formula since he was a baby and needs specialized medical formula. It is amino acid and completely broken down so all his body has to do is absorb what it can. He was at one point TPN dependent- CVL Broviac which is a line into the heart and the liver disgusts the food. It caused severe life threatening issues so he can never be on that again. So without medical amino acid formula, he would starve. |
