Just read a post in my neighborhood group that someone had their Starbucks coffee delivered to the wrong address this morning. First think I thought of is that a person must be lazy if they need coffee delivered in the a.m. This is a fluff post. No judgements. Fill in the blank with your "People are getting lazy if. . ." I'll start.
People are getting lazy if they need their coffee delivered in the morning. What is your fluff laziness about people?

You text someone in the next room instead of getting up to go talk to them.

Well, if I don't feel like driving and someone else is willing to do it for money and I can afford it, why not. You're helping the economy and getting your coffee, someone else is making a few bucks.
Maybe the person getting it delivered is sick or has a work meeting or something.
I don't drink coffee and wouldn't have Starbucks delivered, but I do have sushi delivered on the regular.
ETA boy I sound like a Debbie Downer. I'm sorry, maybe I felt triggered 😂

People are getting lazy if they need their coffee delivered in the morning. I have thought about ordering Door Dash for breakfast before. And I'm not lazy-I just don't leave the house much since I work from home AND I am in 8 hours of meetings a day almost every single day. I definitely have ordered lunch for delivery. I just can't justify breakfast though. Confession: I'll admit that I do text DH when supper is ready rather than walking out to the detached garage. I like to make sure he has time to wash the grease off his hands and I can finish prepping everything in those few minutes.

My friend's roommate has the thermostat on the wall in her room, it is right above her headboard. Her roommate was in bed and texted her (they live in a VERY small 2 BR apt. The bedrooms are about 5 steps away from each other). She texted "Could you come in my room and adjust the thermostat?" - My friend texted her back and said "It is literally right above your head, you only have to move your arm." My friend is always telling me her roommate is lazy and now I see what she means

We’ll text if we are on different floors, or if one of us is in the garage or outside.

I'm sipping Boba that I had door dashed, mostly because I can. Also because I'm lazy I guess. I have no desire to go down 4 flights of stairs, drive across town, wait for an order, drive home, and then look for parking again when there is someone excited for the opportunity to earn some cash while bringing it to me.
I call it working smarter than harder, the money I wouldn't have made doing all that is much more than I paid for delivery.

If I wake up before my alarm goes off, instead of turning my head to see what time it says on my clock, I just ask Alexa LOL

I have typed a half dozen replies to this and every single one of them doesn’t pass the “fluff post, no judgement” rule of the OP. Just like the OP didn’t.

I went on a road trip with someone once and we stopped to eat somewhere along the way. We were sitting at a table that didn’t have any ketchup or other condiments on it, but there was some on the next table over, literally less than 3’ away. My travel companion looked at me and said, “Would you get that bottle of ketchup for me?” She was actually sitting CLOSER to it than I was, so I said, “No, you’re closer.” Her reply was, “If you were *really* my friend you would get it for me.” So I responded, “I guess I’m not really your friend then!” Yeah, she was more than a bit needy. Not surprisingly, that “friendship” didn’t last. On a related note, my SIL will routinely ask her DH (usually) or one of her kids to get up and get her stuff that she could very easily get up and get for herself. In many cases, whatever she is asking the person to do means they would have to go out of their way to do it and it would actually be less effort for her to do it herself. DH and I always look at each other like 🤨 because she does it so often, as in, multiple times over a couple hour span. Example: she might be sitting right in the kitchen, ten feet away from the coffee pot. Her DH might be in an entirely different room, actively doing something or talking with someone, and she will ask HIM to get up, come in there where she is and refill her coffee cup from the pot that’s ten feet away! And he will do it. 🙄

Lazy...
Invisible illness. Depression. Anxiety. Having a sh!t day. Their money they can choose how to spend it! Caretaker of a sick kid or family member, so they can't leave home. Maybe it's their one splurge. Just because they can.

People who buy mashed potatoes… I just bought some today to use for dinner with some over night guests. 😄 I also bought a roast and some carrots that I’m going to make for them. Making mashed potatoes was just a little too much effort for me. Lol I also bought some rolls to go with it. Not about to make those from scratch!

I see zero good in judging people as "lazy" if they do or don't do certain things. Everyone has different priorities, different limitations, different resources. Why judge?

When they buy those nearly full grown tomato and bell pepper plants at Home Depot and then put them in their garden beds. Poof! The garden looks amazing and they get produce right away. Meanwhile I exhaust myself starting things from seed every year. I view them as being lazy but I think they're smarter.

You text someone in the next room instead of getting up to go talk to them. Is it lazy if i asked Siri to text it for me? How else would I have called the kids to dinner? They would be upstairs in their rooms with the doors shut and earbuds in their ears (before the time of AirPods). I could scream and they still wouldn’t hear me.

Ha. Ha. I’m guilty of so many of these things. I’ll use the excuse that I’m old, lazy and feel entitled to live my life the way I want. We live in a 2 story house with a finished basement. We text each other all the time. Or use Alexa to “drop in” to talk to each other. It’s safer than two old people running up and down the stairs for trivial things, so there’s that. I also text my DH to remember to let the dogs in. He has a tendency to fall asleep on the couch and leave them outside. I’ve purchased larger sized basil and tomato plants this year. I want my Caprese salad soon than later. Ha Now about the coffee - I look at that from a different aspect. I have never been able to wrap my head around people spending $3-4 or 5 for a cup of coffee when I can make one here at home in my Keurig for under 50 cents. But that’s a different thread - about how cheap I am. Everyone should just go on and live their best life.

One of our exchange students thought the drive through ATM was super lazy. Why not just walk in and get your money, so easy. I said I thought being able to drive up, never leave my car, get cash and drive off was much easier. He did not agree. I am sure he thought it was the epitome of American laziness and why we are all morbidly obese. (Please note that is said with total sarcasm and eye rolls) Other than that he was an amazing exchange student and we adored him.
There are so many reasons people take an easier-for-them way of doing something.

My kid recently got a pair of AirPods and now it practically takes an act of God to get her attention. And sometimes even that wouldn’t work.

Does this apply to me buying the rice in a bag that cooks in 90 seconds in the microwave? Its definitely more expensive than regular rice .... but saves 20-30 minutes!
I live in the boonies so the only delivery service is a pizza restaurant. To me ordering pizza delivered is the ultimate in lazy because the delivery charge and tip add nearly $20 to the price. Sometimes its worth it when we've had a long day and don't want to cook.

I don't judge people for having food or coffee delivered, but I will admit to being a tiny bit judgy when the food they have delivered is McDonalds or Burger King. I just think with all the great restaurants around our here there are so many better options. If I am going to pay for delivery I want to get the good stuff. But, then again I do love McDonald's French fries...

I once drove 20 minutes out of the way to go to a drive through Dairy Barn instead of the 7-11 5 minutes away where I would have to get out of the car.
