I'm here. It's been crazy, busy, difficult, etc the past few months. I got to go away on a much needed scrap weekend in at the beginning of August. I had my scrap room all clean and organized at the beginning of summer but work stuff has taken it over again. Dealing with DS and work have been taking up the majority of my time and there is just no energy left over for scrapping. I'm signed up for a weekend crop in October that's by my work. DS has been more than a handful so going away again is out of the question. I hope once my school year settles in I'll be back on the boards and scrapping more. Hugs to you ❤

natscraps, hugs from me too. I look forward to seeing your layouts as life settles down and you are able to relax and have some scrappy time. I hope that can happen soon. Hugs!

katiekaty I hope you are okay. I worry when I don't hear from you. The rest of the Cut n Pasters, MARIBETHR, Ryann , ComplicatedLady azcrafty, nylene scrappyrabbit, natscraps, teacherlisa , schroema , gramma, MichyM, refugeepea, sarahbee, scrapperal, cannmom, I hope September is treating you well, so far. I forgot that we're doing it by quarters, not months. I don't know how much I'll get done in September. I lost everything I had saved on my laptop. None of it is retrievable, we tried everything. Thankfully, I can get most of the photos back through online sites and stuff my husband has saved. I have made some simple Halloween cards and will try to post soon.

Hey Cut n Pasters! How ya doin' as we head into the last two weeks of the quarter?
I was really busy doing other things in August, and early this month. Then I got back into scrapbooking, mostly playing around with the SKETCHtember sketches, but Have not counted any of my points for the last three weeks.
Who else is taking on the sketches? Anyone gunning for the completion bonus? Just a heads up that to earn the bonus we have until October 7th. But all points earned in October, except for that bonus, will go to our Q4 team.
I have a page for today's sketch laid out on my counter waiting for some extra work on the title and a cluster or two. Have photos and papers chosen for the facing page, but not sure how it will come together yet. And sometime I am going to have to start calculating points...

Just a heads up that I won't have my point totals done until Monday, October 3rd. I already have July/August completed, and September shouldn't take me too long to figure out.

Well, I was keeping great tabs on my points for the first 4-5 weeks then I totally fell off the bandwagon. It should be interesting trying to recreate the last couple of months. Thankfully I make cards only and easy-peasy pts. Even still I need to get started remembering!

Hello everyone, I have some big apologies to make. I have been caught up in a big medical whirlwind of issue after issue. In July, I had a total of three falls- the first I landed on the knees, causes damage to the right patella shifting it out of place and tearing the left knee medial meniscus. These two took a couple weeks to fully come to light. The second fall at the end of July, I landed head first, would up with the concussion and needed stitches. Lovely. A week later, feeling better and stitches out, same day , I took another tumble and broke acoouple bones in the left hand! So it’s in and out day surgery to fix those small issues in the hand, the torn meniscus and stabilize the patella. Along the way, I had been sent to see a cardiologist because the insurance was giving such difficulty approving the pre authorization on a medication- my family has familial hypertriglyceridemia, and the one big med that has been the most effective is not technically on our formulary the last two years and getting has been nuts. I already take 5 other meds in combo with this and stay in the 345-500 range ( normal is less than 145) . So off to the cardiologist I go and he runs test: echocardiogram, nuclear stress test, and a calcium score heart scan. They are all subpar results with not absolute specific conclusions between the three. Next up is a heart cath. That was done on my birthday Aug 9th, yeah! And I got a big expensive present— a new stent in the left anterior descending artery (aka the widowmaker ). And started a a platelet aggregate and baby aspirin . This was so far out in left girl for me— I walk 3-4 miles a day in addition to the 7-9 thousand steps at work. I was never out of breath. I turned patients, did one person transfers and assisted, patient care, etc. I was managing 4-5 14-16 hour days. Immediately after the heart cath stent placement, I was weak, short of breath, lost my appetite and was mentally not functioning well. I didn’t feel like me at all. I saw the cardiologist tweets post op , asked questions got some answers, and was basically told, cardiac rehab and rebuilding the strength and given an appoint date for 45 days away. A week later I sorted running fever, bad headaches, bad cough. Same with sons. All three of us tested posted for Covid. We have all been faxed and boosted but I was a little worried still since I have RA and now this heart thing going. I was down for totally for 9 days, lost 10 pounds. Two weeks go by, three negative test, and although I have a little strength. Back, still extremely tired and short of, sometimes gasping, decrease in oxygen saturation, increased heart rate and dizziness. So a return to the cardiologist. I am now 7 weeks post op. EKG is abnormal. VS are abnormal on exertion. After 10 minutes on oxygen, baseline returns to normal. Doc thinks the issue is the anti platelet aggregate that I am is most likely the issue. Switches to another. Tells me that people severe reactive airway disease run a 1 in 5 chance of having severe complications with the med . But, that it’s good I took it for 7 weeks which helps with stent embedding and healing Time. So I go back on Monday, and if breathing has continued to improve, he will run a couple of non invasive test (heart ct scan and another echo). If there isn’t enough improvement, I get another heart cath so he can make the stent hasn’t blocked off ! Let’s hope that is not the case! So that how my life has been hanging. I am really sorry to have been so out of touch with you. I really appreciate grammadee and everyone else for hanging in and participating this quarter.

Welcome back, katiekaty. That sounds like a wild ride! Hoping you are beginning to feel like yourself again. One more week remaining of this quarter! I bit the bullet and did the math last week, so I am caught up on points to last Friday. A reminder to everyone to get counting. katiekaty will need our totals before October 7th. If you are going for the SKETCHtember bonus, you have until then to finish all 30 sketches (but points for any of those projects created after Sept 30th would be added to your October team). I have a Word document with all the sketches to date, so if you would like that, please PM me with your email address and I can get it to you now &/or when it is completed. Fall is officially here in North America. The leaves are just starting to turn here, but with fall winds, once they flip colours they are often whipped off the trees. I need to get out with my camera and get some photos before the opportunity is gone. Why do I always see the great photo ops while I am driving?...

Checking in again. One more week of this quarter....
Got my photos around the yard yesterday morning. Will print on Tuesday.
Still need to count up points from 3 LO's this past week.
Still need to put together two bd cards. Started on that this morning but needed to find some space on my counters to work. Fell down the rabbit hole of sorting papers and everything else, and meanwhile putting together kits for next Tuesday... Long story short, my counters are still not cleared, but the stuff on them is now in sorted stacks and just needs to be stowed away. And I earned a couple of hours worth of organization points for the team.
How are you all doing heading into this last weekend and week of September?

katiekaty, I am so sorry about all the medical issues that seemed to come out of nowhere. What an ordeal! I hope at your next check up they find you back to an even keel. Hugs! Sorry I have not checked in. Things have been crazy here and I think I have been a little on the crazy side myself. Things are looking up and hopefully October will be a better month than Aug and Sept. I have been pretty good at keeping up with points, but I haven't done many Sketchtember challenges. I hope others have done a lot. I don't want the hostesses to think no one likes the sketch. Sometimes life just get in the way of our fun hobby!! grammadee, thanks for organizing these fun challenges.

How is everyone doing on the last slide to the end of the quarter?
I have these last two weeks to calculate points for. Still need to post the ones I finished at the LSS yesterday. So three cards and a bunch of pages left to add up. If I get too rushed, I will just grab Easy Peasy points for them all, although I usually score the pages using the challenges.
I will be away visiting family the last couple of days of this month and the first few days of October, so although I have met quite a few SKETCHtember challenges, no chance of the completion bonus by October 7th.

I am on the mend. Medication has help tremendously . Unfortunately I wound up wit an ear infection and sunse going nuts on Wednesday but at least that a thing thhappens every time we get “ a seasonal change” here . Weather has née a lovely lower 60# S and mild low 80s in the afternoon. That’s wild for Wesr Houston, but it won’t last😁, just long enough to play with the allergies and sinuses. I have started cardiac rehab to regain strength and some endurance and am getting back to small walks with the dog and my son—- I miss those easy feeling 3-4 mile walks with no issues ( it’s a struggle to 3/4 these days but I have improved over the barely block length and rest before tuning around).
I didn’t get to much the last two months but will get points totaled and post.
I have to apologize again for being the worst team host ever. You all are the best an did wonderful!

katiekaty, you have been through a lot the past 3 months. I'm glad to hear that you are doing better. Hang in there. Sending hugs. I finally totaled my points. I thought I was keeping up pretty well, but apparently not. LOL My total for this Quarter is 7686.

Hold the phone, @katiekatie. I forgot to add in my bonus for S/N-8, the mega challenge. I attempted 59 challenges over Q-3 to earn a bonus of 200 points!
New total is... 6998!
Note to the other Cut n Pasters: check out the mega challenge! You only need to have taken on 20 of them to earn at least some bonus.

Wow! We have some great totals here, but we will need the rest if we are going to "take down" the Paper Posse. Got a total from them this morning. Just did a quick scan here, and it looks like katiekaty still needs totals from MARIBETHR, ComplicatedLady, azcrafty, natscraps, teacherlisa, gramma, refugeepea, sarahbee and scrapperal. Have seen a ton of shares from some of you, so hoping your points will be the ones we need to put us over the top...
