I bought A LOT last quarter and it's time to head back into the freezer for me. I'm challenging myself to 200 layouts before shopping again and I'm only exempting adhesive and trimmer blades this time around (although I'm probably good on those also) - I have more than enough cardstock and photos and I just bought albums.
I need to unsubscribe from some store emails...

As I'm unpacking, I have 4 unopened CD kits and another 3 or so that I've barely touched. I haven't loved the last few kits so I may need to cancel my subscription. I'm trying to purge as I unpack so no shopping for me until I get through some of these kits. I do need to replace a few things that got broken in the move and I can't seem to find my box with stamps and inks. I'm hoping they are somewhere in the garage or my got mixed up with my husband's office boxes. If I can't find them, I will go ahead and pick up some ink pads and stuff but I'd like to be more strategic in my purchasing going forward and maybe some sort of inventory list. Fun to finally have my stash back though. I feel like a kid on Christmas opening the boxes.

I need to freeze but my willpower is pretty weak. I just know a new stamp/die set is going to come out that I’ll have to have. Rather then a full out freeze I think I’d stand a better chance of limiting my buying to a set a monthly budget. That way I can still shop but I won’t get carried away like I did last month.

I will likely place an order for The Steven Duncan Halloween collection for Carta Bella and something Christmassy by the end of this quarter simply because French retailers don't order much and almost never re-order seasonal collections. Got to jump on the product when it becomes available over here or you're out. However, I've been very chilly all year long so far. I have barely made any purchases and I don't mind the lack of shopping at all. Glad to join this merry band if you'll accept a mostly-but-not-exclusively-frozen companion!

I need to completely and utterly freeze through September with the only purchase being my SC sub @ $30. Although I really need selphy ink so.. that will be bought lol but will last throughout the entirety of the quarter!
I'm worried about the KP Disney stuff this month but I need to keep telling myself none of it is essential to life and I have a Disney trip I want completely paid off before we go in September. So even that $40 or whatever the kit would end up costing me can go towards churros or something lol

scrappyem - unpacking is exciting! Good luck finding the stamps and inks lindas - setting a budget and sticking to it is a great way of staying chilled sleepingbooty - understandable - that sounds like a planned expense not an impulse buy though so still chilly imo jenna - yay for a Disney trip I think I need to update my ticker to show a goal of 200 additional layouts from now so I can keep track

I need to be frozen but I know myself so I will go chilly after many impulse buys in May & June. I have my 2 kits (PP and SCT) but I will do my best not to buy any additional things, although Paper Person is going to do a Disney-inspired kit so I may need to buy that. LOL See? Already making excuses.

I will be freezing August and September. I usually do that time anyways. Back to school needs, DMV sticker, and the start of auto insurance as well as membership fees happen in those 2 months and are needs that need to be covered.

I unsubscribed from all store emails and have been so busy decluttering the house in general that scrapbooking shopping hasn't even been on my mind.

I’m in!
I’m on my last roll of adhesive for my ATG but have a couple of rolls of score tape I want to get through.
I’m only allowing myself to buy photo printing supplies.

I feel like I should freeze, I ended up spending more than I expected last quarter, mostly due to buying staples like page protectors which I hadn't expected to need so soon. More than freezing though, I really want to use some things.

Still pretty chilly. I’m getting tempted by all kinds of things but I’m trying really hard to stay focused on what my style is and what I have energy for. I see all kinds of beautiful stamping but I don’t think I have the bandwidth for anything besides patterned paper. I bought a few stamping and die cutting things a little while ago and I’ve hardly used them. I used up all the Doodlebug paper I bought a few weeks ago though!
A couple of things that are helping me are that every company seems to have the same things (how many lemon stamps and dies have I seen in the past few weeks?!) and my wishlist items seem to always be out of stock when there’s a sale on. The endless releases just exhaust me and then I remember I have plenty of stamps and dies that I already own that I’m hardly using. I’m going to have a busy summer helping with the repainting of the exterior of our house anyway.

Oh yeah. Mainly ds (high school!) and dh (teacher). DD received checks from her college that helps cover tuition as she is a disabled student and in my state first 2 years are covered. But she will still get help after that from the DSPS program. And with her taking on line courses all of her books are on line and covered. So that helps.

pantsonfire - that is helpful. DD22 is doing a super-senior year (5th for her B.A. due to changing majors) and is paying out of pocket now as scholarships only cover 4 years - she took one summer course, will take one fall, and then her capstone course in the spring (only offered in the spring). All online which does make it easier. I still have one in high school also.

pantsonfire - I agree - Aug/Sept bring a lot of extra expenses when school is involved I'm so glad those days are behind me! Our school year starts at the end of January, and when my kids were in school, we had to buy school books in December, right before Christmas (thanks for that! ), then new school shoes and sometimes uniforms in January. At least I got two months off school fees in December and January, that made the world of difference. My son finished school last year after completing Year 11, and is now doing an apprenticeship. Up until last November I had been paying full time creche and private school fees since 1998. I cannot tell you how much of a relief it is to no longer have those fees! All the more money to NOT be frozen I guess hahaha!

I’m trying really hard to stay focused on what my style is and what I have energy for . I'm pretty sure I need to write this on a sticky note and put it next to my computer. Such a good perspective. I have way more ideas than time and that's becoming more and more obvious as I'm unpacking my supplies. I have some lovely things, but some I've completely forgotten about like the Prima water color pencils, hardly touched. I found an order of brand new stencils that I hadn't even opened. I am sure I had something in mind when I purchased that stuff but I hardly do any mixed media so I need to quit buying it, no matter how lovely it is.

I way overspent last Q. I’ve got subs, so those I can’t let go of yet, except one month to month. I’m definitely going to drop several when they hit the 12 month mark.
Ironically it’s coming here or getting on insta that usually gets me in trouble. Heidi Swapp’s stamps are a giant money pit for me right now.
Sooo, I need to get chilly but I also need a strategy to be realistic about it!

I know I won’t go in the freezer, but I’m cranking up the AC. 😬
Because life got so hectic a few months ago, I hadn’t so much as touched my supplies since early April. But my subs kept coming, and piling up. Just yesterday I tried to get some scrapping done and was instantly overwhelmed with the new product to sift through. 😵💫 I really love what I’ve got, but geez it feels like a lot. It’s fine when I am actively scrapping, but having an unintended hiatus has created a ridiculous backlog.

Linda, I'm so glad you posted this. This is perfect timing for me. I'm challenging myself to stay frozen for the next three months if not longer. I need to remember that looking through my stash feels like shopping. I often times forget what I have!

Expect for photos and adhesive, going to try not to buy anything.
I broke an adhesive runner this AM so I need to buy one. Snapfish has a deal in their app that you can get 100 free prints, you pay shipping/taxes. that helps keep me up to date with printing them

well...that didn't last long...but I'm heading back in the freezer for real this time (I just couldn't resist some long discontinued Lego paper to restock my almost empty Lego folder - I do have another Legoland album to do (Malaysia this time))

I committed to being chilly this year in an effort to make a dent in my stash. I know I should freeze, but I’m there are a few purchases I know I want to make. Instead, I’m going to try to be selective about what I buy and keep focused on using my stash.

I’ll continue to be fairly chilly. I’ve only been buying things I will be using immediately, so not much really. I have my Elle’s Srudio sub, rarely do add ons and then I did make an order for items I wanted for my kids albums which I had none of in the theme. But I really don’t plan on buying much at all.

I am one totally frozen popsicle except for Pinkfresh Simply the Best when it comes out. That I need all of. But I am going to stay frozen for July at least. I already passed on some stuff I like, it actually wasn't that hard when I look at the stack of stuff from my grab box lol.
