I should, since I do NOT NEED anything, but I am doubtful that I actually will. I already know there is a release coming from Queen & Co. that I will probably buy.
Correction……a few days later. DH’s 12 year old car just got towed off to the repair shop, after the engine had what looks like a major fail of some kind. If we have to buy a new car, I’ll absolutely have to go in the freezer. Car prices have skyrocketed in the 10 years since we last bought a car, especially recently. We expected that car to last at least a few more years.
Edited to add: DH’s car was repaired. I am free to shop. Within reason.

Well I've made it through July without buying anything, which considering I've been creating less this month is a good thing.
How is everyone else going?

I’m frozen! I spent way too much in May/June that I need to use before buying more. I’m trying hard to stick to plan to be frozen until Oct 1st.

I really need to freeze for August. I have my two subs and add-ons that I will get, but that’s all I really should be getting.

I recently got all the new Disney stuff I wanted from Simple Stories and I even purchased from ACOT so I could pick only the few papers I really wanted. My lss was only selling the big packs. I am planning to stay frozen the rest of the year with the exception of a scoreboard and some very specific shades of cardstock. I need NOTHING else!

I've split a few paper pads with another pea and I've been using them up really quickly so that's OK.
I'm trying to resist some expensive stencils that are cool but I'm not sure I will really use as much as I imagine.
I'm still trying to use the things I have and accept that I can manage just fine without getting new things. But then I'll watch a video where someone talks about how you can "use any flower or leaf dies you have" to decorate x y or z, and I realize I don't have any, so does that mean these are basics I should have?
The other basic on my list is ink refills. I have the ones I need in a cart and they're going to be $125+ which just seems like so much! But what's the point in having ink pads if they're drying up? It is making me want to stop buying ink pads.

Linda, I'm so glad you posted this. This is perfect timing for me. I'm challenging myself to stay frozen for the next three months if not longer. I need to remember that looking through my stash feels like shopping. I often times forget what I have! Tomorrow is one month since this post and I’m not having any trouble staying frozen. I haven’t scrapped much in the past couple of months and I haven’t been tempted by anything or really even in the mood for window shopping. There was a collection I was planning on buying when it’s released in the fall but now I can’t even remember what it is so did I really love it that much?

It is making me want to stop buying ink pads. I'm in the same boat. I need refills but hate spending the money on something so boring. I try to buy them when there's a sale, although the Stamp Market recently had them for 20% and did I take the opportunity to buy them? No, I bought pretty cardstock and enamel dots instead (all of their colour crush stuff was on sale). ETA: I need to be frozen but I'm a total failure right now because of the new collections coming out. Aaargh. I plan to be frozen for August, though..

Bumping this thread in the hopes of finding some support. I need to stop buying things I don't have time to use! I am finding sheer quantity overwhelming again, so have started a de-stash and purge process. I have minimal amounts but find the minute it creeps up it becomes more like "work" than "fun". How's everyone else doing?

Help. Please. I'm a frozen Pea whose power has likely gone out!
I was doing soooo well for a couple years, but this year has been rough. I (nearly) totally skipped the AE DD last year. SKIPPED. But I bought alot of KP. Pretty much everything. Yes, I did. And, I'm (currently) using it, and the truth is... I'm using it UP! I always do. I will literally throw the scraps in the trash when I'm done.
But this year, AE sneaked and revealed and I liked it. I bought about $150 (album included) and I'm kind thrilled about it. But I know the KP stuff is coming out in an email tomorrow (that I likely won't get because I am not a subber) but we all know I'll see it! It won't go together, and the KP stuff will be more "me" and I'll try to justify in my mind some sort of "this years KP DD" and a "Christmas Past" AE thingy. Anyway. But then there's the other problem. The damn ACOT cart I've been playing with for 3 months.
Please. Some one remind me that I have plenty. I have NO NEED for any of this, and being frozen for alot of this year was soooo great!!

I'm still doing ok. I haven't shopped yet this quarter, which I'm really happy with as I thought I might have treated myself to something for my birthday last month. I'd like to make it through to the end of Sept without shopping if I can as I know I'll buy things in the last quarter. I need something for my DD album, and with the recent news FJ is going to stop making kits I know I'll shop her next sale.

I'm staying chilly - I've bought a few things (a couple of dies, some ink daubers, adhesive) and DH bought me some things (white cardstock, gnome stamps, ink pads) and I paid for two classes (only $5 each) - but I'm pretty much not in buying mode - I have sufficient (more than really) and I'm trying to focus on scrapping and using my stash.
A small victory - I was struggling a bit on Saturday working on some Wizarding World pictures from Universal - I didn't have any embellishments and I looked at the EP Witches and Wizards line and thought about getting it - Amazon would have had a collection kit to me probably today. But I only had 3 layouts worth of pictures and that would have barely made a dent in the collection kit. So I closed the browser tab and googled for printables I could use instead - and actually found enough freebies (not designed for scrapping but for parties but easy enough to resize) that I didn't end up buying anything. AND I was in Joanns yesterday and only glanced at the scrapbook section (now admittedly that was in part due to the $$ I was dropping on fabric but...)

I have not been good. I was planning on purchasing the VB Printshop, which I did, along with some Layered Life kits, some Studio Calico Stamps, a few things from Simple Stories, and some 49 & Market embellishments. I really need to climb back into the freezer.
The good news is that my goal for this year was to use or get rid of (sell) more than I bought, and I think that still remains true even with my latest purchases. I am going to take a shopping break for the rest of this year and enjoy my new goodies.

I justified getting a die set to finish off a bunch of Halloween cards and while waiting for it to ship I’m realizing I probably could’ve used something I bought last year instead. But it supports a small business and is totally different from anything else in my stash, plus I think it will be more in line with my style and how I like to craft than some other purchases I’ve made.
Scrapbook dot com has been emailing me once or twice a day recently. I never used to get so many emails from them but now they’re in overdrive and it’s so much, so often I’m not even looking any more. Everything is always marked down, but just barely, so, meh, I don’t care any more.

Me! I need to freeze! My sb purchases lately have not added to my sb output, lol. I picked up what I wanted from AE DD, adding to my box with a second purchase of stamps, I bought the HP stamps from SC and the Sept stamp from HS, then ordered VB print shop and 49th & Market's Alena kit with some extra distress oxides that I didn't have. 😳

I thawed BIG time recently. I placed a Christmas and Halloween order from SB.com. Used a 10% off coupon to get it as low as possible. With international shipping, it cost me just over 41 US dollars. Then I spent at Studio Calico today. Took my cart down to the bare essentials. No cutesy die-cuts or extra alphabet stickers (even at 50 cents/sheet). I took so much out of my cart. Ended up getting a month-to-month Stamp subscription with the $15 coupon deal they have happening at the moment (will cancel it before next month) and used their add-to-your-box-at-no-extra-shipping-cost option to browse their big sale. Got 2 cloth-covered 6x12 albums, several sheets of chipboard numbers, this month's 6x8 subscription stamp set and 1 set of journaling cards for just under 50 US dollars. While both buys were very much thought out and carefully reduced to the max, that's still 91 dollars spent on scrapbooking goods all of a sudden! I'm not going to justify myself by saying I got a great deal on albums to use in the future, etc. Just keeping my eye on that 91 dollar total. I'm close to being done crafty shopping for the rest of the year! Something would have to be exceptionally good and right down a particular niche alley for me to hit that purchase button now. I'm really focused on keeping my pleasure spending super in check this year. Inflation is rough (although I really can't complain - France is doing way better than many neighbouring countries) and the energy bills will be crazy this winter in Europe. 91 is my confession. Back to the freezer I go!

I am in the deep freeze again. Just bought photo paper but I’m done till after Xmas. And like someone above said, my purchases exceed my output!

Quoting myself because my purchase arrived and I'm so glad I didn't add more to my cart to justify the shipping. I unpacked the die set right away, clipped them all apart, and sat down and started cutting up scraps. I haven't done much crafting lately so this was a motivation boost without being overwhelming. The set is just as cute as I thought and I've come up with a few variations on the design already and even sent out one finished card. So I'm going to call that money well spent.

I need to jump back in the freezer. I’ve bought my DD supplies from AE and was checking out the Greetery sale and somewhat tempted but instead just closed the tab. I’ve still got a couple of sets I haven’t used from a purchase a few months ago and need to use what I already have.
I’m finally planning a trip to the UK and Europe after several years of not travelling so that’s good motivation to stop spending on crafts.
