Considering she thinks Guam is a foreign country, Peolosi is part of the Gazpacho police and that Bill Gates is growing meat in a “peach tree” dish I have no doubt she does think solar power does not work when it is dark or cloudy.  She is in fact just that stupid.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) asserted over the weekend that white men watch pornography and play video games because they are the "most persecuted" group in the United States.

"I believe that white men are the most persecuted identity in America," Greene claimed. "And that's a bold statement to make but I'll break that down."

"Let's talk about why white men and young white men, in particular, are really, they're put, you guys are put bottom on the list of so many things," she continued. "The reason I stick up for white men is I know for a fact when you guys apply to college, you're put down at the bottom of the list and everyone is allowed to be accepted and admitted into college and then they finally move on to the white men."

Greene also claimed that the persecution of white men caused them to spend time alone watching pornography and playing video games.

"Through our entire culture, white men are bad," the lawmaker complained. "But what that's done to your generation and even some of those a little older than you and those definitely younger than you is it's created hopelessness in many of these guys."

Greene added: "No one is there for them as they are growing up. They spend hours and hours alone, which is what do they do with their time when they are alone? They don't have an after-school job if they are in high school. Maybe they probably don't play a sport. So they're spending hours and hours time alone, which turns them to all kinds of bad things: porn on the internet, reading crazy stuff in chat rooms and God knows who's in there and saying what they're saying. A lot of time playing video games."

Herschmman the trump lawyer who told Eastman he better get 'f.....g' criminal lawyer has been subpoenaed the DOJ grand jury.

Eric Herschmann, the former Trump administration attorney who told fellow attorney John Eastman to get "a great effing criminal defense lawyer," will soon be testifying in a criminal probe.

Politico's Betsy Woodruff Swan reports that Herschmann has "received a grand jury subpoena as part of the Jan. 6 probe" that's being conducted by the United States Department of Justice.

Although Herschmann defended Trump during his first impeachment trial and then joined the White House as a legal advisor, he found himself in conflict after the 2020 election with lawyers Eastman and Jeffrey Clark as they pushed to get the United States Department of Justice involved in overturning Trump's election loss to President Joe Biden.

Monday, The New York Times reported that longtime Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg is nearing a plea agreement with prosecutors in Manhattan — but that he is still unwilling to cooperate with investigators against his former boss.

"His plea deal, if finalized, would bring prosecutors no closer to indicting the former president but would nonetheless brand one of his most trusted lieutenants a felon," reported Ben Protess, William K. Rashbaum, and Jonah E. Bromwich. "On Monday, Mr. Weisselberg’s lawyers and prosecutors met with the judge overseeing the case, according to a court database. The judge scheduled a hearing for Thursday in Mr. Weisselberg’s case, a possible indication that a deal has been reached and a plea could be entered then."

"While Mr. Weisselberg, 75, is facing financial penalties as well as years in prison if convicted at trial, a plea deal would scrap a high-profile trial and most likely would spare him from a lengthy sentence," said the report. "One person with knowledge of the matter said that Mr. Weisselberg was expected to receive a five-month prison sentence, an unexpectedly favorable outcome for him."

"The other terms of Mr. Weisselberg’s deal were not clear, and his lawyer, Nicholas A. Gravante Jr., confirmed that he was in discussions with prosecutors, but declined to discuss the specifics," the report continued. "Another lawyer for Mr. Weisselberg, Mary E. Mulligan, declined to comment, as did a spokeswoman for the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg."

No idea idea how to make it happen, but it seems like there should be a coordinated effort to monitor things like the anti vax disinformation, the stolen election nonsense (because 2020 was only the beginning), the lead up to ajsn 6 and more recently, the anti-FBI, civil war rhetoric.  I’m not suggesting anyone should suppress the chatter, just monitor and be aware, so that it can be countered with accurate messaging.

In a sign that we’re living in different worlds, the right is up in arms about the Disinformation board, based on lies.  I try to get news from multiple sources and stay up to date.  But, I only remember the board being started and disbanded as a side note.  In comparison, I suspect right wing outlets are screaming about it.

Republicans spent a year attacking Democrats saying that they wanted to "defund the police," following a series of police-involved shootings of unarmed people of color. Yet, in wake of the search warrant executed at Donald Trump's golf club in Palm Beach, Republicans have adopted their own "Defund the FBI" message.

Mere months ahead of the midterm elections, Axios reported that the slogan once called "radical" by the GOP is now being adopted. Fringe Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) even went so far as to develop a line of merchandise on her campaign website with the slogan.

Strategists told Axios that the slogan could cause problems for the GOP in November, but the problem is that it could also become a litmus test for Trump's support of Republican candidates.

Already, GOP candidates are rushing to demand cuts in funding to law enforcement. Dan Bolduc and Bruce Fenton, the top Republican senate candidates for the New Hampshire Senate race, prompted significantly reduced spending for the Department of Homeland Security and abolishing the FBI altogether.
