I really like her posts. She always does a great job summarizing current events and frequently provides a historical basis. If you read nothing else from her, you should definitely read her conclusions. She nails it every time. Today, the Department of Justice has asked a judge not to unseal the affidavit behind the search warrant for Mar-a-Lago, saying that it “implicates highly classified materials,” and that disclosing the affidavit right now would "cause significant and irreparable damage to this ongoing criminal investigation." CNN, the Washington Post, NBC News, and Scripps all asked the judge to unseal all documents related to the Mar-a-Lago search. But, “f disclosed,” the Justice Department wrote, “the affidavit would serve as a roadmap to the government’s ongoing investigation, providing specific details about its direction and likely course, in a manner that is highly likely to compromise future investigative steps.”
Legal analyst and Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe commented: “This suggests [the Department of Justice] wasn’t just repatriating top secret doc[ument]s to get them out of Trump’s unsafe clutches but is pursuing a path looking toward criminal indictment.”

I mean yes she repeats lies and comes up with crazy conspiracies but this is just plain stupid. Does she really think those with solar go dark when the sun sets or if it’s a cloudy day? Why do the Republicans have to lie about everything?
Here is DeSantis claiming “they” told us we would not get COVID if we got vaccinated. That is not true. From the beginning “they” were up front about what the vaccine would and would not do.
I think this will make a good poll questions. Are you tired of all the lies and disinformation the Republicans are telling the American People.
And before the “they do it to” gang rush in to point out the Democrats do it to. Yes, unfortunately, some feel the need to be less then honest. But, and this is a huge but, the scale to which the Republicans excel at lying and spreading misinformation is mind numbing. And dangerous.

DeSantis probably won’t pay a price for the lies he tells. Very few do in the Republican Party.
But in the Republican Party if you tell the truth this is what happens..
The irony of this is the members of Congress did what they believed was right and by telling the truth. And it was. The voters reward them by voting them out of office,
But those Republican members of Congress who have lied, especially about the results of the 2020 election and lies like DeSantis told this morning about the COVID vaccine are “punished” by being re-elected by the voters.
Do you know how crazy that is?

I think Liz Cheney should run as an independent in Wyoming, but maybe she has bigger ambitions? If the Democrats supported her like in Utah with McMullin, maybe she could win with Democrats and independents. Democrats represent a really small percentage of voters, around 26%, so I’m not sure if that’s enough.

The really bad thing is that there is a whole generation of kids who are growing up in a world where some are being raised to believe that “alternative facts” are an actual thing. No, they’re not. They’re LIES, plain and simple. The alleged “Faith, Family, Freedom” crowd are the ones spouting the most egregious untruths and persistent disinformation. Whatever happened to the commandment “thou shalt not lie?” Maybe Republican God revised the commandments so that one no longer applies. |

Was standing in the kitchen listening to the TV.. just another ad for big Pharma. Republicans all yelling and stomping their feet about the cost of gas that many people use in their vehicles every day. But have nothing to say about a life preserving drug, insulin, that must be used every day by millions of people including their constituents!! I am not diabetic nor do I know anyone who is however, diabetics can't live without insulin. It should be FREE. I agree. I keep seeing an ad saying that the government shouldn’t be allowed to set price caps on meds, and if they do, there won’t be as many new drugs developed. It just pisses me off because aren’t meds much cheaper in other countries? Why do we have to pay the steep price for the meds while others don’t? |
