Such cute hats finsup ! Happy 5monrh birthday to your little one. The HoHoHo blanket is in Rosina Plane’s closed group but I think it’s released on Ravelry tomirrow. If you join the Rosina Crochets Facebook page you’ll see it or I’ll post a pic when it’s public. Ha, that explains it. I'm not on Facebook but I could see a vague hint on her YouTube channel so I was wondering how you and jeremysgirl had seen it. The YouTube video has a countdown and as I post it says it premieres in 90 mins so 11.00am gmt today. I don't need another project but I've done two of Rosina's designs and if anyone is thinking of of having a go, the patterns are well written and her recent patterns have had video support. So if you are tempted, dive right in! Eta I see gillyp has posted an image, thank you

You know what's kind of funny **GypsyGirl** is the scrap crochet blankets always seem to be the favorites too. I can make gorgeous things but everyone wants the blankets with the most random colors all put together. Is it like that with quilts too? Case in point...I had skein after skein of Lion Brand (cheap) Homespun yarn in my stash I carried around for like 12 years. All sorts of colors. It is a pretty yarn but a real bitch to crochet with. Well I decided one day I would hold it double stranded and crochet it with a double crochet stitch on a ginormous plastic hook. While I was making it, my dog just wouldn't get off of it. So I gave it to my dog. Every time I post a pic of my dog laying on this blanket, people rave about it. And I'm like this is the biggest, heaviest mishmash of yarn. Why does everyone love it so much. I’m spying on this thread and I just had to laugh because I’m “people” - I LOVE that blanket!!!! Like a lot. Lol 😂 So glad it went to the best new owner.

jeremysgirl , I love that your dog fell for a blanket, and that you gave it to him. Lucky dog! finsup , holy cuteness. When Ds was a baby, he loved wearing hats. I would have figured out a way to acquire everyone of those aminal hats for him. Oh, and we live in So Cal and he was a hat wearer! Silly baby.

In the winter she snuggles right under it. She loves it.

I think it’s hard because it was the Covid year.

I just went and peeked. The Hohoho blanket is fab. I just love it. It's just one more thing on my to make list. Which just grows faster than I can even crochet. Where are you all finding a peek at this one? So I can add it to my list of “someday” patterns too 😄 I’ve been making autumn hats for the love of my life. My granddaughter is five months old already! OMG so freaking cute!!!!!!!!!!!

How's everyone doing this weekend? I am trying to work on my blanket but I just keep pissing my time away. 😂 Crack the whip on me! If I actually worked on this blanket I could have the dog section done this evening.

jeremysgirl My apologies, my efforts were interrupted by a thunder and lightening storm that cut off the electricity for our whole village and beyond. I was working on rectangle three but it all came to a halt. Mad search for candles, flashlights etc. Fiqure it's good preparation for a winter of power supply issues! You did really well, that's a lot of work. What's the next section?

Well that stinks wellway. Is your power back on? I'm not sure I'm going to continue with this blanket. I've had several people now tell me they don't see the dogs. I don't want to put my time into something that is not obvious

Today I sat down at my embroidery machine to stitch out a beautiful watercolor-ish fish design. It was 12 colors and I was on color 10 when my hoop popped and the design got all screwed up. I was 75 minutes into a 90 minute design. Grrrrrrrrr It was the final step in the latest quilt I had made. I made a Halloween quilt recently that I will have to post for jeremysgirl. I have been a quilting fool lately and have finished 4 quilts since May. Love to see all of the creative juices flowing here.

wellway I hear you. I signed up for Jimmy Beans monthly shawl club and I've done absolutely nothing on it. Nothing! All year. I have a bunch of neatly packaged unopened balls of yarn just waiting for me to do something with them. I signed up for an Annie's kit club at the end of last year and I opened the first package in late July. I wanted to take a crochet project on my trip, but the skull blanket is too big and WAY too heavy, especially to pull out on an airplane. I'm still working on it now because it's not as heavy and hot to work on. It's still in the mid 90's here.

I don't want to put my time into something that is not obvious I had to go back and look again, and then I saw them. I have left it and gone back a few times and I still see the white design first. Amelia looks very happy with her blanket, and that belly is begging for some belly rubs!

jeremysgirl, yes, power is back on. But the electricity company rang the house about two in the morning to tells us. Did not need that. Re your blanket, before you give up on it, maybe run an outline of a darker thread around one of the dogs to help it stand out. If it works you could outline them all. Might help. It would be a shame to lose all your work.
