Here's what I've been up to. Absolutely beautiful! I can only aspire to your crochet talent - I can do basic patterns but nothing at all like this!

DEX Your Halloween quilt is awesome! jeremysgirl That is stunning! Is it squares, or is that center of the blanket and you just keep building around it?

If you know the basic stitches you could totally do this. I've never looked for them but it's my understanding that Vanessa has videos out too to help you.

I love your cross stitch scrappinwithoutpeas! I feel like it would be perfect to decorate a camper. I only have a pop-up but I aspire to a hard sided trailer that we can actually decorate the inside of. And I think this would be perfect.

I only have a pop-up but I aspire to a hard sided trailer that we can actually decorate the inside of. And I think this would be perfect. Thank you! The design is called Sea to Sky by Diana Watters Handmade ( Etsy link HERE); it was a pretty simple one. Coincidentally, I figured out the reason I love the colors in your latest blanket so much is because they are the colors of my craft/scrapbook/office room. I didn't choose them - they're leftover from when this room was DS's bedroom when he was in elementary school, but I embraced the colors when I changed it over to my scraproom. (Also, I didn't want to repaint, LOL.) Maybe we could work out some sort of trade when you get your hard-sided camper trailer....because I don't crochet and I don't know whether you do counted cross-stitch...? hmmm...food for thought!

Another two Halloweenies. I really like the hat but I knew before I started the scruffy cat that I wasn’t keen on the design and I’m still not sure about it. wellway and jeremysgirl the lime green is the Woolwarehouse own brand and I really like how it felt to use. There was no splitting. The black is Stylecraft Special and I don’t think I could tell the difference. If anything, I sometimes think the quality of Stylecraft is a bit suspect, thin and splitty depending on the colour. I’ll happily use Yarnsmiths by Wooolwarehouse again.

I absolutely love the cat! And thank you for the review on the yarn. I won't hesitate to order it with your recommendation. And you're right that Stylecraft can sometimes be splitty too.

I got the first baby quilt back yesterday and the binding finished last night, so it’s all ready to be gifted tomorrow. It’s for my niece, who has a *very* specific design aesthetic, and wanted beige-y cream for her nursery. 🙄 🤷🏼♀️ I am pretty proud of the flange binding I did on the front, and the custom tag I designed for the back. The lady that did the quilting, though… the lines are crooked! I knew going into it that she didn’t use a computer, but it’s hard to justify paying someone when I could do just as good (probably better!) on my own! And I haven’t really trusted her to do a more complex design because… she can’t even do straight lines. She’s super convenient, though… lives in the same canyon as me, so she’s only 5 minutes away. I maybe just need to invest in a machine with a bigger throat.

Gennifer we would love to see your fabric choices too. I love that **GypsyGirl** are so sharp and crisp. They look perfect together. Although gypsygirl has a real eye for fabrics that go well together and make sharp quilts. I have it put away while I’m working on these baby quilts, but this is the fabric line I’m using (not my picture):

I threw it away. I got so irritated last night with the whole thing. Nobody can see the dogs. My mother told me it was ugly. And what's worse is that I had two friends tell me it looked great and then said they couldn't see it. I feel like they were just lying to me. Why would you say something looked good when it just looks like a bunch of random stitches to you? That's irritating to me. I'll think twice about sharing anything with them again. I'm just irritated I've wasted two weeks and two skeins of yarn now Oh don't throw it away. I really like it. It just needs a few more rows. Do you have a picture of it finished?

Hi everyone! I'm loving all the projects! Glad gillyp is feeling better. Covid is no joke! jeremysgirl I'm sorry you binned the dog blanket design. I saw vases at first too. I liked (can't remember who)'s suggestion of putting little collars on the dogs. Also the suggestion to make it all white and not stripes. BUT only you know if your heart is in it or not. I haven't worked on the damn scrapbooks AT ALL- 16 Fridays until Christmas. Sigh. So many other things I want to be doing. I am redoing my "front" 12' long x 4' tall whiteboard in my classroom into a HUGE week long calendar for my classes. I've been giving assignments orally and posting on google classroom but the kids never check classroom (or email for that matter) and are having a hard time keeping assignments straight. I currently only have chemistry and integrated 1 math but I COULD soon have chemistry and biology at the same time and integrated 1 math and financial math at the same time. I think I need to see my days large and on the wall. I'm using it as a "student" aid but yeah. LOL. So, vinyl cutting will happen today. I already have the layout and dimensions but I need to change that because I want to put a space at the end of the "calendar" where I can put work for kids who are absent or whatever I need to give out. I have those emoji magnet clips that I will use there. So, need to adjust those measurements and get it cut. I'm using electrical tape to grid it off so I can easily erase and not mess up the grid. I'll share pics when it's done. I'm staying late Monday to get that done after my tele therapy appt. My awesome new principal (I legit ADORE him!) is trying to class up the school and bought the other teacher, himself, me, and the secretary a gray school logo polo and a purple school logo polo. I DETEST polo shirts. I also DETEST buttons. Oh and I DETEST collars. I wear only tee shirts/tank tops with no collars and no buttons EVER. I'm trying to decide if I can/should/want to remove the collars and make them into mandarin collar shirts. I am expected to wear them on Fridays so I want them comfortable and something I don't dislike. They're also men's shirts so pretty boxy and long which I can live with. While I don't like TIGHT fitted shirts, I would like it to be a little more fitted so I may take them in a bit on the sides.

What's that you say seaexplore ? You don't like the very sexy look of a man's polo shirt? 😂 I mean, I had a choice of womens vs mens shirt (was not told it was a polo) and chose mens. It’ll be “comfy” 😂 I just REALLY detest collars around my neck even unbuttoned and buttons - hello boobs! I’m trying to figure out if I can alter it. I might be able to tolerate a mandarin collar. I will wear a tank top under and rip that polo off as soon as the kids are gone. During the winter, I will live in a hoodie and the shirt will be too bulky under. Oh darn.

scrappinwithoutpeas, I love that cross stitch, thank you for posting where it's from. gillyp, glad you're feeling better. I like the cat, he's a Halloween cat, he should be rangey looking. Gennifer, that baby quilt is lovely. My niece did her daughter's room in those muted shades too, it's beautiful and peaceful. I might be a bit twitchy about the crooked stitching as well, especially if I'm pretty sure I could have done a better job myself. seaexplore, can't wait to see your board, you are so creative that way. My brother gets tons of complements on his easy up canopy thanks to your design work!

I'm working on crocheted pumpkins in different sizes and colors. I still have to put stems and leaves on most of them and I have many more to make.
