KikiPea the earrings are super cute. Do you not post them on Instagram anymore? I feel like I have seen any in a while.

seaexplore I've ordered from them twice and both times have loved their yarn. I'm currently working with one. and I've got this one not too long ago. It's a denim dye. Supposed to be light wash, medium wash, dark wash. I haven't figured out what to make with it yet

There is not enough here for a blanket. This is only enough for a shawl. And it was $99 at that. Bad Sheep Yarns are great but they are expensive.

Fellow Lucy/Attic24 fans, did you see that she announced her newest blanket on Instagram? Yes I did, love the colours but I don’t do little squares 😁. I may look for a different pattern to use the colours. I’m skipping this one too…I still haven’t finished her Yuletide blanket from last year! I did a couple more animal hats plus another fox hat at a friend’s request. I don’t enjoy sewing on the pieces (the raccoon’s eyes are so wonky but I’m just going to say it adds to his charm) so I think I’m done with them for now even though there are so many more fun patterns!

I finished my second baby quilt! This one was more fun to do than the last one, but it’s the first time I’ve quilted on point, so I didn’t know what to do with my directional fabrics! I just made them go all different directions. 🤷🏼♀️This is for my nephew’s baby… his wife loves llamas, so I thought this fabric was perfect! I also finished up the binding on another one I did as part of a quilt-along a few months ago. I started cutting tonight for my next one, because I have lots to do! Two holiday quilts by the end of November for me to use this year, and then two more for Christmas gifts for my MIL and aunt. I also have one planned for my mom, and if I get it done by Christmas, great, but if not I’ll just give it to her in January.

I like that you quilted them yourself and I love the binding on the llama quilt.
How do you do the quilting when it isn't in the ditch (along a straight seam)? Do you draw lines or use tape to have a straight line to follow? I like the look of the diagonal llama quilting.

Wow! Gennifer they are beautiful. I love the diagonal of the baby quilt. I also dig the colors. From what I've seen, baby colors are shifting away from the traditional pinks and blues. And the bright cheeriness of your quilt along quilt is awesome. I especially love that dragonfly backing fabric.

finsup That blanket is beautiful. Is it a CAL where you get a kit every month, or do you buy the whole pattern and all the yarn at once? I like making squares because once I get the hang of it I can make a bunch of them and I feel like I'm making progress quickly. It's silly, but each little finished square gives me a sense of accomplishment. jeremysgirl The yarn you showed is so pretty. Something about those long twisted skeins is so appealing, and I love the colors. Fall is my favorite season and I love getting away from the bright spring/summer colors and into the more muted grungy or jewel tone colors. I've only joined squares once and it kinda sucked. I loved making the squares for the Jack Skellington blanket, but putting it together about drove me nuts. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the 'Cozy Cottage Sampler Afghan' from Annie's Kit Clubs. It's going along pretty quick when I compare it to progress on the skull mosiac. I hope to finish this up in the next week or 2 and then I'll go back to the skulls. It's been a couple months now, so I'm going to have to learn how to do it all over again.

finsup - I LOVE the hats and the twisted headbands. Are the headband patterns on Ravelry? I need to make myself one/some, as my ears are getting cold already and it's only September. Gennifer - wow! I know nothing about quilts but those are fantastic. KikiPea - ohhhhh adorable earrings. phoenixcov - Good to see you're feeling up to these delightful works of art again. I'm always in awe of your miniatures. I swear I've been into that house. It's an amalgamation of all our grandparents' and great aunts and uncles houses put together. That fireplace... I just have 1.25 rows left to do of the CAL I started before Covid. It's going to be a lap blanket for the church this winter to help people keep warm. I'm also working on a shawl with pockets for the church, just to keep myself from getting bored.
