I love these. I like that you quilted them yourself and I love the binding on the llama quilt. How do you do the quilting when it isn't in the ditch (along a straight seam)? Do you draw lines or use tape to have a straight line to follow? I like the look of the diagonal llama quilting. I quilted the llama one, and I just sort of eyeballed it. I was following the diagonal lines on the quilt top, so I stitched in the middle of the sashing and then in the middle of the blocks. It’s not perfect, but I’m okay with it. I had the other one quilted by a local longarmer, but she doesn’t use a computer (she free hands), so hers aren’t perfect either! The binding is my favorite! It’s a faux-flange, and I followed this video tutorial: www.missouriquiltco.com/blogs/the-final-stitch/adding-a-machine-binding

Here is my latest 1.48th scale mini. The house is 6in wide, just over 3in deep and 7 in tall including chimneys. My late Mum and Dad didn`t have their own home for years after they married in the 50s so I made this mini to show what I think they would of liked. I will be starting the garden soon which is always my favourite part of a mini. There is also a garage and a she shed which i forgot to include. Sorry pics are so big. This is amazing… you made it?!? I have an old dollhouse my grandma made in the 70’s that’s in rough shape, and I’d like to try to repair it so future generations can play with it! I’m following some accounts on IG, and trying to get up the guts to dive in!

phoenixcov so happy to see you making again. I hope this means you are feeling well again. Saw this and thought of you. Thanks malibou. I am making steady progress now, getting more good times in between the bad.. Saved the link for tomorrow as I`m off to bed now. I am on a really strict budget so some of the things I see so wonderfully made are not cobbled together like my minis are. I really enjoy what I do though and I think that is the main thing about our hobbies.

finsup That blanket is beautiful. Is it a CAL where you get a kit every month, or do you buy the whole pattern and all the yarn at once? I like making squares because once I get the hang of it I can make a bunch of them and I feel like I'm making progress quickly. It's silly, but each little finished square gives me a sense of accomplishment. She releases her patterns for free and posted this one all at once, and yarn packs are available at Wool Warehouse attic24.typepad.com/weblog/fireside-blanket.htmlwww.woolwarehouse.co.uk/attic24/attic24-firesideShe generally releases a pattern this way in the fall and then in Jan/Feb she releases another as a CAL but you can still buy the whole yarn pack ahead of time.

phoenixcov I love your little house. And I'll admit that the gardens you do are always my favorite part too. Like malibou said I'm so glad to see you creating again. Are you feeling better? my3freaks I still have not ruled out buying that collection of yarn. The jewel tones have got me drooling too. And don't worry about the skull blanket. It's like riding a bike. A couple of rows and you'll be right back to it.

Well I've complete the first of the repeat. It's coming along nicely but I have probably two more repeats to go. And just because...I ordered a ton of things to work on a baby scrapbook for my future grandson too.

After a slow start to this month, with travel and illness, I am finally back in the knitting groove. I seem to have gone completely in the opposite direction, casting on three projects in the past week! First, a little sweater for Lucia. I have finished the back and really like it so far Then I started a pink and purple mermaid tail, a special request from Sophia. I am not enjoying this so much, as it is a thicker yarn than I am used to, and acrylic, which I prefer not to use, but it will get done by Christmas And finally, I cast on a sweater for myself in a yarn have had sitting around for years - seriously, I bought this before we left Australia, and that is 13 years ago now! It is simple stockinette, as the yarn is so busy and pretty on its own.

I really enjoy what I do though and I think that is the main thing about our hobbies. Perfectly said! Your house is awesome, and I have to say, as an American, it fascinates me. While overall our housing is similar (usage of rooms, general layouts, etc..), there are little details that are different and I love looking closely at your pictures and seeing them. You bring them to life, and it's amazing to me. (I got really caught up in the gate looking thing in the bathroom coming out of the wall. It finally dawned on me that it might be a drying rack for clothes? If so, I want one that pulls out like that, it's genius!) I'm really happy you're feeling better and getting back to creating what you enjoy. I still have not ruled out buying that collection of yarn. The jewel tones have got me drooling too. And don't worry about the skull blanket. It's like riding a bike. A couple of rows and you'll be right back to it. I'm glad to hear the mosaic will be easy to pick up again. I've been worrying about it while I'm making the cottage stripes blanket. I only intended to work on the stripes one while on vacation, but it's coming together nicely and the colors are perfect for my mom. I was only a couple stripes in while I was back home and she commented on how pretty the colors were and asked who I was making this one for. I didn't tell her it was for her. I'll easily have it done in time for Christmas. (It was also too hot in August when I got back to sit with the mosaic on me so I can work on it!) ETA: That baby blanket is AWESOME!!! (and baby scrapbooking is the best!)

sueg Those sweaters look great. I have recently bought a couple sweater patterns and might get brave enough to give one a try soon. I bet Sophia is going to LOVE her mermaid tail!! I'm going to check out some links and read that article about the minis. Doesn't Zee make mini houses also?

my3freaks that is indeed a clothes airer, not fixed to the wall though just stands alone or folds for storage. When I finish up all the details it will have clothes on it, also in the bathroom/scullery is a mangle. There are several things in this house that are difficult to show, like a serving trolley and old fashioned wireless in the living room.

She's the one with the Rock making eggs for the crazy cat lady! Pardon?! Very confused here! See has a doll house dedicated to a crazy cat lady that is awesome and hilarious. A while back she found a Dwayne The Rock Johnson figure that was the correct size and put him in the kitchen frying eggs. Let me see if I can find the post. I can't find the post, but let me tag her again. Zee, please can we see your crazy cat lady doll house again.

I haven't been able to do anything mini-related for a while, most of my stuff is in storage while our basement gets remodeled (or actually, modeled, since it wasn't finished in the first place). I will have my craft room back not it will be much nicer, with HVAC and proper lighting. Yay! Sadly though, i have less time for crafting in general due to additional work and responsibilities. My fondest wish is for my new position to be eliminated and I'll go part time without any guilt. Just a pipe dream right now 😅

Here is dad with his mini Squatty Potty, a gift from my sister (who also sent me a human version as a Christmas present lol) Poor Aquaman has had a rough night And as you can see, ACTUAL cats have been in the house and have really messed up The Rock's kitchen. Eggs on the floor, tables knocked over, what a disgrace.

Zee that's hilarious and amazing! How did I manage to miss it the first time? Was it somewhere other than here? I'm so glad malibou mentioned it. I don't remember, it was some time ago. Glad you enjoyed! I have some dollhouse people but most of my dollhouses are inhabited by various action figures. Dr Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, and Wolverine all share the Christmas house. Pennywise lives in the French manor house. I normally switch them (the houses) out for various holidays so just one is on display at a time upstairs. The rest normally live in my craft room in the basement. There is a Halloween house, the Cat Lady house, Christmas house, French Manor house, PeePaw's house (one of my favorites, decorated just like an old man's house with retro things), one with Pretty Princess furniture from the 60s that I fondly think of as Jayne Mansfield's house, a couple that need to be built, and the one I just shared pics of that has more modern decor. It's just called The House Full Of Things That Moms Like, such as succulents and modern print rugs etc etc. I need to do something with the bathroom, and the rest is still a work in progress, but I love a lot of things in there.
