Best selling author and podcaster Sam Harris said "At that point, Hunter Biden literally could have had the corpses of children in his basement. I would not have cared." On how he did not care if the FBI covered up the laptop as long as it kept Trump out of office.
Do you agree? Not talking body bags or anything like that. Just the question, completely ethical or whatever it takes?

I think it did happen ethically and by convincing voters that he isn't right for America. This. At this point, after losing a fair election (as declared by numerous Republican election officials) and choosing to try to overturn it and incite a violent mob to overtake the Capitol (with the whole world witnessing), I am fine with Trump being tried for treason and prevented from running for and holding office again after the justice system is allowed to do its work without fear of violence from frothing-at-the-mouth-gun-toting-and gallows-building-cultists. |

Shoot Somebody, And I Wouldn't Lose Any Voters' To your point, I think if Hunter Biden did something illegal, he should be held responsible. I also think keeping trump out of office is ethical; as we stand now, there is no need for voter conversation. Neither of the choices in the above poll fit my opinion, typical. What he says literally doesn't matter and is only his opinion. I've never even heard of him. |

Hunter Biden has never held office and any supposed scandal seems to relate to a time when his father didn’t hold office either. (From what I can tell - but then I’m not American). So why is this even a thing? And why is it dredged up every time your actual criminal ex-president's actual illegal activities are in the news?

I could care less what Hunter Biden did or didn't do. He's not an elected official. The Justice Department is investigating. If he did something illegal, then they should charge him. The election is over. President Biden won by 7 million votes. Get over it already. |

I have spent a solid year and a half listening to lies about the 2020 election from the right coupled with all sorts of threats about what happens if Trump takes office again.
I'm a Jewish academic with two non-gender-comforming kids, and we've been going through the process to reclaim Austrian citizenship because we're that worried about what happens if Trump takes back the presidency. We're not trying to suppress votes, disenfranchise voters, commit crimes, or otherwise interfere with the democratic process, as Trump supporters consistently have advocated doing and have done. Will you give it a rest?

CNN is just the latest example of the long slow slide of this country. I have been watching politics since Eisenhower. My gut instinct has always been correct as I would always learn later when looking back.
When Reagan was elected I knew we were heading to exactly where we are now. It was a slow process of dumbing down and defunding public education, funneling big money into the rightwing and cramming religion down everyone’s throats.
We have mostly lost our democracy. It is hanging by a thread and almost doesn't exist anymore. It will take a very few more years and the transition to fascist dictatorship will be complete. All of the money, resources and power will be in the hands of a few truly evil oligarchs. There is little integrity left.
It is very sad and I am very glad that I have lived in the times that I have. I really feel for the young ones coming up.
I truly hope that I am dead wrong this time but I don't think so.

I am very concerned about the ethics of people running for office. For example, I would not vote for someone who doesn't pay taxes, pays off women he had affairs with, pays a newspaper to bury stories, supports white supremacists, talks about dating his daughter, talks about getting away with grabbing women, makes many people sign NDAs so the truth doesn't come out, pays people under the table by providing them with housing or private school tuition, has a long history of suing people, doesn't pay his bills, gives jobs in government to people who are unqualified, raises funds for charities and then keeps the money, advocates for people to "find 11,000 votes", suggests people should march on the capital, thinks the vice-president should change elector slates, etc. If anyone did that kind of stuff, I wouldn't vote for them. Their adult kids? I wouldn't be too concerned, unless of course they were actually working in the White House.  |
