Anyone else planning daily documenting for the spooky season? I’m being sorely tempted by the Prima Halloween release (unpopular opinion but I love that pink!) but I’m going to dig through my stash and see what fall/Halloween papers I have to make a junk journal for next month. Would love to hear what others are doing!

I am doing it. I’m using the citrus twist clementine 6x8 album and the citrus twist kit. I’m adding in some digitals from traci reed.

I was thinking of doing a dedicated album but decides to just add the pages to dd and ds albums.
We tend to do a lot in October - pumpkin path at a real farm, Oak Glen for apple season, Halloween decoration drive, pumpkin decorating, decorate our home, pumpkin spice coffee (at home), start of soup season, pumpkin muffins that ds makes, haunted hay ride for dd and dh, Halloween Ends movie, Halloween night, watching Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. So that is 12 things.

It looks so fun but I don't think I have it in me to start something new this year.
I'm LOVING Krystal Idunate's posts on Instagram about her 2021 October Daily.
It's amazing.

I did it last year. It was fun. I tried to take a photo every day. I had to cheat with an old photo one day. Don't tell anyone!

I have planned to do an October occasionally (someone posted that name here and I loved it). But I’m not doing a whole album. I have 9x12 weekly project life and I’m adding 6x12 pages inserted together in October for the OO (October occasionally) and will fasten a closure or ribbon on those pages so it’s like a mini album within my project life. I will handle DD the same way (and I’m also making a separate type of 6x8 December album that is like a DD past with all the traditions we do/did since my kids are grown .

Nothing daily, but still love documenting October and halloween the most. I have photos from last year that need scrapping, and tons of supplies, don't need a thing!
I do really want to send some cards out, which has been a goal a few years, but never happened...gotta get on that.

I'm doing this project. I'm using Simple Stories Vintage October 31 Collection mainly, and a 6 x 8 Citrus Twist Clementine album.

Meeeeeeeeee! Well probably at least 🙃
I did it last year but it turned into more of an October Occasionally so I'll be going with that. I want to to do a 4x4 and test out the format to see if it's something feasible for me during DD this year. I have a bunch of stuff from last year (hey pumpkin, some of the cutesy stuff from last years' simple stories lines, papers from DCWV that matched) so I definitely didn't need anything. Buuuuuuut last month Peachy Cheap had Fancy Pants' A Little Scary on sale so I grabbed the 12x12 collection + some tactile stuff like pom poms and lace that was included. Suffice to say I have way more than enough lmao

I'm in! I have a bunch of fall stuff to use up. I don't really do Halloween. But I already have ideas for 15 days: 1) 10 Things about the 10th month (an AE card) 2) Pumpkin patch 3) Halloween 4) Nephew's wedding anniversary 5) Yom Kippur 6) DH birthday 7)Fall hike 8) Caramel apple (an excuse to buy and eat a caramel apple) Actually, I may expand that with a pic of Tastee Apples which is in the town where my zip code is (I live way out in the country) 9) Fav scary movies 10) which is different than fav zombie movies 11) Me and my sister as kids dressed for Halloween-the only pic my mom took of us trick or treating-film was expensive! 12)Decorate the wine barrel on the front porch for fall 13) Peanuts-Linus and the most sincere pumpkin patch (It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown) 14) Peanuts-Snoopy as the Red Baron behind enemy lines 15) Zingers and Dolly Madison snack cakes-we never got these as they were too expensive as kids. I jonesed for those so bad during the Peanuts special. Yes, three days devoted to a 25 minute TV special. I loved it so much.

dudleypippen Hit the edit button for your original post and change the thread title to 2022 October Daily thread so this becomes the megaaa discussion! I'm in and I'm testing a format change in October for December Daily this year. I'll be documenting several days on a page whenever there's nothing big happening, trying to fit a whole month in under 12-15 spreads. I'm still hesitant about the products to use. I have some older Halloween stuff left over but I'm also really tempted to get Steven Duncan's Hocus Pocus line for Carta Bella. It's perfection! We don't really have Halloween where I live and I won't be travelling to one properly Halloween-ified place in France AKA Disneyland Paris this year so I'll be mostly focusing on home life, movies (Hocus Pocus 2 coming to D+ on September 30, eek), seasonal changes and other details. Might even attempt a typically American dessert like pumpkin pie (we don't have canned pumpkin in the stores here so I'll have to cook and purée some real smooth)...

Me. Every year I say I'm all in. I just bought two new Halloween collections this year, and found some cute washi and sequins at Michael's.
Any bets on me actually doing it? 😁

Any bets on me actually doing it? 😁 We can totally bully you into doing it... "October Daily or the voodoo doll gets it!" It's a really fun project. I think OD is more relaxed and messy/DIY than DD generally speaking. You just throw in all your favourite Halloween paper things without worrying too much about colours matching perfectly, print out photos of the spooky movies you love, photograph less important details that don't put stress on that perfectionist side many of us have, etc. It's more playful and whimsical than DD for most. That's what I love about it! I know the established influencer documenters have started doing OD over the past couple of years but I stand by the OG spooky crafty folks who just throw caution to the wind when working on this and spearheaded this project years ago. They are the heart and spirit of OD for me. "I liked this spooky thing so I got it and I'm using it, don't care this shade of orange is so bright, whatever. I like it!" "I'm using 5 of these Snapchat filter selfies because I love them all and didn't want to pick a fave." "I'm documenting every single PSL I'm getting this month. I know nobody cares but I think it's fun!" "Who said pastel lilac and neon orange don't go together? Nobody makes the rules but YOU!" "MOAR shaker pockets, yeah!" Serena Bee filmed a video with basic tips and flip-throughs of her albums a few years ago that's worth a watch:

sleepingbooty, I love october daily for all the reasons you said. To me it feels very easygoing. I can do whatever I want. December daily get so built up in my head with me trying to do all the things and have perfect memories and photos. October daily I’m just like - how do I do something fun and maybe spooky. I just flipped through my posts of last years october daily and I think it’s my favorite project. Have done in a while. The pages just were so fun. I didn’t spend too much time doing each page and they are still great (to me. Lol)

Any bets on me actually doing it? 😁 I went from not having a single piece of halloween paper to having one of those artbin containers full of halloween stuff. Have I documented a single thing from any October yet? NOPE! You're in good company (or at least I think I'm good company). We can challenge each other to do at least 4 pages in October, any size (mine will be a TN because I already have one prepped and ready to go from years past LOL).

I did one a couple of years ago and realized that I just don't love October or Halloween to that degree. But like I said last year I might revisit the album I made and see if it needs any more. (I did nothing last year).
If anyone needs some scary doll photos I have more than my fair share. Not dolls that have been crafted into something scary, just old dolls that have decayed and lost their eyes, that kind of disturbing thing. I might make a proper spooky display with old dolls and uranium glass and black lights and who knows, I might suddenly decide to use a black page notebook as a spooky scrapbook. I need to buy a new one for my random ephemera anyway.

Just like December Daily gets me more excited for the winter holidays, October Daily gets me excited about celebrating fall! For me it doesn’t have to just be about Halloween itself, but the crisp morning air, apple cider, the fog in the cornfields when I drive the kids to schools in the mornings, the warm colors in the store displays, chili and cornbread while watching football games…I will use Halloween papers throughout the month because I love them even if it isn’t about trick or treating or costumes or pumpkin patches.

I came to accept I suffer from SAD (season affective disorder) a few years ago and documenting October when the tail end of summer slips away, the days are noticeably shorter and colder helps to keep me both busy creatively and focus on the good. Halloween isn't even a thing where I live. Never seen trick-or-treaters. Doesn't stop me from enjoying October Daily or a good spooky collection. joblackford Old dolls + uranium glass = *drools in ectoplasm* dudleypippen I really like Prima's new Luna collection! Thinking about picking a paper or two + embellies up to add to Prima's 2021 super blush pink Thirty One line.

I might do a version of this project. Definitely not 31 days but maybe I'll do a birthday month album. I used to love October but now, not so much. Maybe this would help me get some love back. And for my birthday we are going to a tiki bar and it would be so fun to document that. Does anyone know where this trick or treat banner came from? krystal iYou will have to go to the third photo for it.

I need every bit of this. I did find it online. Since Crate Paper is American Crafts, you can buy their files online. I've gotten several emails for 50% off and will wait for one to purchase. I might be doing this. Gotta finish scrapping my Magic Kingdom day first. I'm on Haunted Mansion right now -- we rode that after the early parade. I've got jungle cruise and the fireworks left and a few other things.

I bit the bullet and ordered some Prima Luna and last years Thirty-One papers. I pulled out my Halloween stash and it is full of dark and really saturated colors, so I think I’m going with a more muted and pastel direction by using some of the aquas and light oranges from AC Hello Pumpkin and OA Witch Hazel to go with the pink. I also gave myself permission to donate the stuff I don’t love anymore or have already used some of and am tired of looking at. Just playing with the supplies is getting me excited and inspired! Flipping through last years album is a great idea, I need to pull it out.
