This is my first October album but I did a 3X8 DD in 2020 and I really enjoyed the challenge of the super vertical. It's a fun size and definitely uses less product. There is a Small size album inspiration facebook group that was originally for 3X8 but they added the 4X8 last year. It's mostly DD but you can still get cool ideas. |

I didn't know scrapbook.com started selling kitties! 😁 Such a cutie! Ha ha ha! He was walking all over the papers. He fits right in with the theme! My cauldron from target came today. I needed a photo of him in it so I put some catnip in there with great success. I am going to try to find a witch hat for him. |

However, after lurking on this thread and being inspired by all the neat ideas being shared, I might be changing my mind. I bought the PP/KP release from this year and have other TN sized fall papers in my stash. And then I saw the Color Theory 3x8 album on sale at SC and I picked that up. So I’m thinking of cutting down my papers and using my existing stash to do a fun little 3x8 Spooky Season album.  That 3x8 album sounds like the perfect plan! And new PP goodies, too. Very nice! I hope you'll join us. The October Daily gang is muuuch smaller than the DD crew but it's such a fun project with much less pressure than DD. It's all about having fun using up your spooky and creepy stuff, documenting the change of season and all the small things that make leaving summer behind more tolerable.  I’m getting more and more excited to start! I think having a community to be a part of will really make a difference in what I get out of this project. I don’t know anyone in real life who scraps so just being able to peek in on some spooky themed scrappy chatter makes my heart soar! |

I did my 2021 DD in a Citrus Twist Life Crafted album but I still struggle with that size so I’m not sure how I’ll do with the 3x8 but I’m ok with a challenge. I’m a project completist so I know I’ll finish it. I just might moan and groan at myself for picking this size, then when it’s done decide I love it and I was just being dramatic. It’s all part of the fun! Thanks for the input and the recommendation! |

FYI there is a citrus twist nearly perfect album sale tn sized albums) on at the moment… marigold is a bright light orange colour 😉

And, come to think of it, when I did the 3x8 album I wasn’t really enjoying that project either. It was 2020 and I was just hating it. But I did my best and now I’m so glad I pushed through.

3x8 I did last year for Oct occasionally. I loved it for creative inspo and for documenting, but not for pictures. I just wanted more real estate for landscape pics and got frustrated by that part. I think 3x8 is good for journal heavy or design heavy projects, but less so for picture heavy.

FYI there is a citrus twist nearly perfect album sale tn sized albums) I looked and they still have several albums left but I just bought 2 albums from Studio Calico on super clearance so I'm going to stop. I have to stop buying stuff. I do think I'm done with both DD and Oct. Daily. OK, question. I'm going to be doing more of a Fall album. It will be Fall here in a few days. I don't want to stick with just Oct. and there are a couple of things in November I want to document (in the first week or so). What should my cover page say? I don't want to have just the date. I want some text. Or maybe just an image, like a die cut. |

I did something similar with a Christmas scene for DD.
Basically I really liked the paper from Ali Edwards but I thought it was too gloomy for my aesthetic.
So I downloaded a bunch of house illustrations from the internet and made a Christmas town. My plan is to print it out (there are two files, one for the left and one for the right). Then fussy cut around the houses to make a pocket.
For this Halloween town, my plan was to do the same thing but I'm thinking it's not tall enough to be a pocket. I might print it on vellum and have it fold over a page. Not sure.
But if you want this Halloween file, let me know and send me your email address. There are two jpegs, each 7" wide to fit outside the page protector in a 6X8 book. Although if you're handy with photoshop, you can make it whatever size you want.
I have the Christmas one too. I'll print it now and share to Instagram so you can find it.

Tight little shoulders, the pitch black coat and those two huge eyes staring into the distance. I'm in love! You're going to have so much photography fun with this one for your album... Do you use reflectors to shoot your kitty's portraits? After having had two pitch black foster pups this summer, I've come to realise the challenge of getting some details and depth in that lovely but oh-so-camera-unfriendly coat. Luna looks so pretty IRL. Thanks for posting your goodies. And you got some Spooky Nights from last year as well. Halloween order twinsies! Can't wait to get my order... |

I have an idea for the design of the page. I want to make a wreath with die cuts and stickers. I'll need to play with supplies in person before committing as I am not sure it will work out how it is in my head. Do you use reflectors to shoot your kitty's portraits? No. I need to do something though. He's so hard to photograph. We love him so much and I think he is why I'm so excited about Halloween this year. We had just gotten him last year and were still in the new kitten phase. Now he's settling down a bit and we can get him to do things with catnip and treats. I think he is the handsome cat ever. Thanks for posting your goodies. Luna (prima) is amazing. Just amazing. I can't wait to get my second order of it. Hopping in here to get enabled or talked out of some of the new Halloween goodies  I really really love all the Ellen Hutson ghost stamps and dies! I also really like the new Heidi Swapp stamp. Just trying to figure out if it's worth it since I'm not really a card maker. It'd mostly be for scrapbooking and maybe some tags here and there. |
