Let's have a thread where we encourage each other!
Here's what I have so far: I have shopped for supplies. Oh, I am so good at that.
Last year I was overwhelmed by stuff so last night I sat down with all my Christmas paper including the paper and journaling cards from kits and sorted it all out. I put away most of it and only pulled what I love within the color scheme: red, green, touch of aqua, lots of gold. Last year I used silver and gold. This year silver got the ax.
I figured out a page size. I have some Oct. Afternoon stuff that I wanted to use so I looked at Daily flash in comparison to the December Daily binder and will use both types of pockets (just punch new holes). The OA pages are larger so that will be the size of a foundation page. I have two of some sheets so I'll cut some down for spreads and have some others on standby. Smaller sheets I use for stacking and matting photos and stuff.
I'll go through embellishments later. I pulled some stuff out of my stash.
I know what I want the first page to look like. Very excited about that! I bought Jen Kincade's december file and will print it out at the bottom of the paper and put a hexie collage on top.
I can't really get started until next week so I'll play catch-up then. I'm going to take a couple of days off work to play. woo hoo!
Photos are in the phone.
How's it coming? I know not all of us can make pages and blog daily. I just like playing with paper. It makes me very happy.

I have uploaded photos of the so far. Waiting on them. I have supplies..I have some pulled. But all my Christmas stuff is in certain bins. Easy to just pull it all. I do have to pull some card stock though. I have decided on a 12 x 12 format. I have the album. I have my camera charged and out. I have pinned things!!! lol

I tried to pre-make my pages and got through the 3rd. I basically followed Maggie Holmes book from last year for the cover theough page 3. When I got to 4, I just made my own page and went with it. Basically, I have the cover and 1-4 done. I have layed a little groundwork for 5 and 6. I do have all my supplies pulled together for the most part.
I usually fall behind about day 7 so we shall see. I am just trying not to stress over it and just print the pics and stick them in at least. I can always embellish later.

I finished my first three pages today. I bought so much last year that I'm just using my stash. Pretty excited about that!

I am doing well! I finished a lot beforehand however; I have not been able to work on mine since Tuesday so I am getting anxious, but I did take photos! Actually I forgot a photo yesterday. Oops. I have something that will work. This afternoon I used Ali's template for "the reason why" and finished that. Tonight I just need to trim it and slip in the pocket. I will be catching up tomorrow. So far I used a lot of the embellishments and was worried that I would run out before the end of the month. Then I reminded myself that it was best to "use" every bit of the kit since it was so expensive and if I run out, it is okay. Better than having a ton left over as I have done in the past.

I have pulled out all the papers I want to use and written my journaling up to yesterday but that is it. I have guests this week so I'm hoping they leave early enough on Sunday that I can sit down and play

I'm doing okay so far. I've managed to journal daily and fill in misc pockets as I accumulate items. Today, I am going to take my Selphy off the shelf (where it's been sitting brand new for over 6 months) and print out the weeks photos. I am working on some other Christmas projects so all my papers and embellishments are within easy reach.
I hope I can keep up the momentum throughout the weekend...

Yay slackers unite! Let's go all of us!
Last night I was too tired to write my paper that's due on Tuesday so I went through this box of misc. stuff and pulled just a few things. It was the box my DD came in last year and it's a good shape and size for small papers and stuff so I'll use it again this year.
I love playing with little embellishments and stuff.
meganliane, I tried making some pages last year too and it didn't work for me. I work from the photo and let that inspire me. Now I did get out a different number for each day. I only changed it around a little bit. I like having all those different fonts in there.
I think today I'll go through my alphabet stickers tonight.

I'm doing a modified DD. More of a "Our Holiday Season" kind of thing, so that I'm not stressed about making sure I do a page each day.
I'm using my own stash, and not a kit.
So far, I have the Jack Frost paper pad.
I have a few Christmasy rubber stamps I'll use.
I have turquoise and silver ink.
I'm collecting miscellaneous ephemera, like the tag from our PB stockings, the little tags off some of the ornaments I bought for our tree that say, "Holiday Time" on them.
I'm going to pull silver and turquoise sequins from my stash.
And I've taken pics of the tree. Before it was decorated. After decoration. The kids with it. Even me with it (gasp, I know) .
I also took pics of the first snowfall of the season, the day before Thanksgiving. I may or may not use it, but I think I will, just because.
I'm going to scrap our holidays after the holidays, probably in January. I'll just gather as I celebrate, and put it all together afterwards. I've been uploading pics as i take them, and will have them all printed in one batch after the holidays.

Oh yeah, I use photos from before Thanksgiving too! Most of December we are just busy with school and work. I gotta get pics when I can. I do more of a holiday season too as everything in it is related to Christmas and not our daily lives. I only number it because I love numbers. But I don't think I even put stuff in order last year except for Christmas Eve and Christmas.

My dining room table is a mess. Started working some more on mine last night. Already decided I hate the first page and have to re do it. The other pages are cute. It has been so gray and gloomy this week, I really wish for some sun or snow so there is brighter light for picture taking.

I made an album from a mini album paper bag Youtube tutorial. Christmas mini album tutorial My plan is to take photo every day (I started with Thanksgiving) and just place them into the album with a journaling card or tag. I am not going to worry about if the photo "goes with" the page since I will using Christmas/winter theme paper throughout. I have 3 dd (college/young adult) and I have them take photos too so my Dec Daily will include all family members. Gives more variety than just photos of dh, me and dog and our decorations as have been in my prior Dec Daily albums. The album is not quite finished, but the base pages are made. I have to finish decorating the pages. I am using last year's "City Sidewalk" collection from Pink Paislee that I got in a warehouse sale box.

I have been journaling and taking photos each day. Also been playing with the new-to-me PhotoGrid app for Android, which lets you collage, which seems like it might be useful for including more smaller photos for those of us who don't print at home.
I've decided I'm not worrying about daily this year, just focused on recording the holiday stories, and then plan to scrap them by larger theme - decorations, parties, traditions, etc. Hoping to use some of the slower days to journal/hunt photos from holidays past, but we'll see.
Enjoying the blog posts from Write. Click. Scrapbook this week on "One Topic Scrapbooking" - basically batching a whole bunch of layouts on similar themes at once so you can use the same papers etc.

I bought the DD kit from Studio Calico.
I have finished day one, most of days two and three, and have printed about half of the pictures for day four. I took pictures today but have not done anything with them yet.

I have the AE DD kit. I have ideas for days 1-5 but I have yet to write them down. I'm afraid if I don't work on it tomorrow I'll forget what my plan is!
I did try to paint my orange album red. I only painted the back cover and I don't like it so I'm leaving it.

Well, I'm still working on finishing my 30 Days of Thankful album, first one like this I've done. I think I have 4 more days left, but I know what I'm doing for them.
DD is in progress. Have stuff accumulated, and have a title page idea. Did two day pages so at least I've started. Likely won't do a page for every single day in Dec. but will depend on what photos I come up with. I'm carrying my small point and shoot camera with me as I'm trying to take pics more often, and kinda spur of the moment. I think I like my camera pics better than my smartphone pics, but the phone will do in a pinch.
Good luck all you DD-ers out there, and thanks for sharing what you're doing.
Am back to scrapping after a very long hiatus with the 30 Days project, and I am enjoying it a lot. But also enjoying the hunt for supplies for the two mini albums! (Like I didn't already have enough??!!!)

DD is caught up but I did not make my pages before December. Helps to print out photos at home.
I will say that after working on it for five days, the somber tones of Studio Calico's kit are not my thing. Each page I have made has been way more jazzed up than those colors indicate so I am using my stash. So it's more of a mini-book than a quick photo, story, tiny embellishment, done thing. I like how it looks and the size is easy to manage.

desertgirl, I agree. When I went through all my paper, I put most of the DD paper away for a future year. I am not going to use any black in the album at all -- or silver. But I think in a future year I will. I like how Tracie Claiborne has used some black. It looks classy. But I think for me, setting some limits is key. So no black. It's aqua, red, green and white.
I went through all my alpha stickers and pulled those colors and they are in a bin. I might take a photo of the stuff I'm using. It's way paired down from last year and I think once it's organized a little better, it will manageable. Last year I used a muffin tin and I think I will do the same. I also pulled out a couple of ramikins from the kitchen and am using them for chipboard, etc. I'm going to take Wednesday of next week off work. I'm going to finish my WITL first. I am almost done.
Never again will I tackle a project like that so close to the holidays! That was just crazy.

I am going to Costco today to pick up photos (I start my album with Thanksgiving)
Speaking of colors, did you see Ali's page for Dec 5? It seems odd to me to see the orange, pink, aqua and grey. I guess I just love all the traditional Christmas colors, patterns etc., plus a I have a tone of stash of Christmasy stuff that really can't be used any other time of year.

I'll pulled out all my Christmas stuff and I bought Shimelle's JYC class... I had thought about it for years but wasn't sure how much I'd get out of it... After 2Ps closed and she said how forever access meant forever access to her, I decided I'd get it... Over many years I'll use tons (even if not all), her ideas so I'm happy I've got ideas/subjects for the first six pages, and plan on starting on them tonight... I've got some pictures ready - going to print those at home tonight too... I've got a bunch of prompts pinned, and Shimelle's prompts too... I'm going to find a prompt that works with something that happened each day, so not in any set order... I have a few prompts and lists that can work for those days when nothing much happens...

You know, that's the truth about how much stash we all have in traditional colors. And the images are season-specific so I'd love to have a kit that matches, even marginally. There just are not enough pages that do in the Studio Calico kit. I did like Ali's words-only page today. And her theme was easy to copy. I might do that on Day 10. Little stories are everywhere in our lives.
Today I ordered and picked up a cheap 5x7 collage print from Walgreen's and used it for the Day 3 page. I backed it with the star paper in the kit and embellished it a bit more. I would not do that usually but the collages were half price.
Happy Day 6!

desertgirl, I would like to see the collage print. Please post a pic when you get a chance.
If you have time, everyone should try to post some pics to the 2peas flickr gallery. I'm sure there's some good stuff going on and not all of us have blogs.

blemon,
There are other folks (prominently shown) in the photos and I don't post online when that's the case. The Walgreen's website has examples and you can choose colors, borders, organization of the photos, etc. It's pretty cool and fits nicely into the album. I did have to make a second page with the story on it, though, because the 5x7 size took up most of the room.
And thanks for mentioning the aqua in your previous post. I had dropped that little roll of velvet aqua tape from the kit and just now found it. I also got out some small letters in aqua so I have a couple of pages in mind for that color.

Ok, I finished my paper. I finished grading.
Took a day to watch a lot of TV and rot my brain and got started today after work.
My daughter and I went through all the numbers and pick out our 25. She said, "I love this activity! It is the best thing ever!!" She is 6. Woo hoo!! Already sharing my obsession with fonts. Ha ha.
Tomorrow I'm taking the day off and working on my title page and another page or 2 in WITL. I'm on Friday and have the photos where they need to go so that shouldn't take long. Almost done! Then I can really dig into Dec. Daily. (well, not so daily).
How is everyone?

i've been more successful this year than my past 3 december dailys that are still only partially finished. my album is super. simple. and i love how clean and simple it is. also - i took the time to set up a dedicated workspace ahead of time with all my supplies there. right now, i've completed through day 3. i have too many photos already, but that's so much more fun than not enough. i'm also really going with the flow on using any story on any day - not worrying about chronology much.
