I had wanted to do this at the crop, but didn't have all the photos I needed so that all 21 of us could be represented on the cover of the 2023 family calendar. grammadee you got so many wonderful layouts done! Need to look closer in the gallery. AussieMeg I love these different takes on some of the sketches, and your compilation layout! I think I may have mentioned in passing that my MacBook screen is playing up. It is flickering and the colours are yellowy and washed out. All of which makes it very hard to tell whether the colours I'm using on my layouts look any good with the photos. And I can't use Lightroom to edit photos, because I could be making them worse for all I know. But I have to live with it until I can afford to buy a new MacBook. That's a very longwinded way to explain why some of the colours I'm using on my layouts might look bad hahaha! This is a photo that I took from my MacBook screen, of one of the photos I've just scrapped. This will give you an idea of what I'm working with here!  
And here is the layout. I looked at the finished layout on my phone, and the colours are a bit more vibrant than I thought, but oh well, it's done now.  |

That is weird, AussieMeg . And really frustrating. I always have trouble with holding my iphone completely level when taking pic's of my pages. And the lighting never seems quite right, even in full sunlight. These photos I took of LO's this morning look pretty dull, but it's snowing here and pretty gloomy this morning. Everything had a bit of a grey look, so I turned on a standing lamp, and that gave them all a yellow tinge. I have no patience, so I snapped anyway. Three more LO's from this past weekend's crop: POINTS: Six pages created & shared (12). Twenty-five photos for the Donna challenge (25). ETA I used Flickr photo editor to "cool" the temperature and up the contrast on these LO's and in the Gallery they look much more like the pages do IRL.

I just want to say that I have enjoyed looking at every layout and card that has been posted in this thread.
The color schemes, the techniques, the different textures, all are inspiring in their own way.
All of you ladies are doing a fantastic job, and I just think you should know that. 😊 I can't wait to see more!

teacherlisa, I love your sky photos, both the beautiful sunset/dawn and the storm caught in action. All the different suns are great accents. That butternut squash dish looks delicious. I like how you placed the pic and the recipe on top of all those labels and phrase strips--an idea I may just lift... That SVU watch party sounds like fun! So cool that you can share your love of the show, and I love how you have pic's of the screen AND the people. The felt panel and the stitched mitten are PERFECT for that page about being out in the cold! Another idea I might be "borrowing"... Aheartfeltcard, your cards are gorgeous! The vellum & silver over that delicate diecut background is really pretty. I love cardinal cards and yours is amazing! love the texture and depth from the embossed background and the pine boughs and cone. AussieMeg & scrappyrabbit, there is love in the Gallery.

That Halloween page is AMAZING, craftymom101! Such great family photos. And cutting that pumpkin background in white then tucking orange and black pp behind the openings is fun and creative and really helps to bring the Halloween colours onto the page without clashing with your cool costumes. And navy & sand are the best backgrounds to bring out the greens in your hiking photos. The buttons and dots cascading down the page are unexpected but gives the page a wonderful finished look. I always love your pages, but these are some of my favourites. |
