grammadee , those look fun! I just got a few Gina K master layout dies and wanted to play with them tonight. I pulled out the Gina K kit we got for Crop & Create and made these. It's slow going for me, I'm not a quick card maker!

They may take alot of time, but those are GORGEOUS, MDscrapaholic ! Love the inking, especially the sunset colours, and those stamped images look really pretty with the inked background. Is that sparkle I see? And the triple matting, especially with those stitched dies adds even more impact. Gorgeous, I say!

Beautiful cards MDscrapaholic! I like them with the glitter instead of the white pen that we used in class on the snowflakes. I made cards with a couple friends yesterday. We each brought supplies for the other to make our set of cards. This was one of my favorites, using a TE create in quads stencil. I think I'm going to re-do the sentiment on the bottom right one, maybe a popped up die cut version, I think it's getting lost as is.

I see some card-lifting in my future I’ve made a few more using that stamp set, but they look like the one from the class - I having a difficult time thinking outside the box with her products. Really like the green blended BG too.

And that huge ‘be of good cheer’ stamp is 💯. Agree with replacing the sentiment on the last one, but other than that, I wouldn’t change a thing on any of them. I’ll have to look into more of the create in quads after I allow myself to start spending again.

Well, I'm trying to organize all the "stuff" from the two Crop & Create card events (Fall 2021 and Fall 2022). I bought clear zipper envelopes and am fitting each class in one envelope. While sorting the Fall 2021 classes, I played with the Vicki Boutin Doodlebug Designs die set. The only paper I have left from that class are scraps now. I liked it so much I made six more using some Basic Grey Nordic Holiday papers!

JMcG has a fun and super simple idea in one of her demos in the Holiday Card Class lineup. If you're still in an ornament mood after doing the ones you here, you may want to check it out.

Was it you, MichyM, who was saying how detailed these sled & skate dies were? I managed to construct two of them this morning and put them on cards. It was a bit easier working with the sleds once I figured out I should glue the slats down onto acetate so I could pop that layer up over the runners. Spellbinders sled & skates by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Then I had a bit more fun playing with my Jaded Blossom gnome and add-on's to do one of these. Believe me, there will be more of these cards! Have 9 more Santa's cut and assembled. They "just" need the sleds and backgrounds... Santa sledding by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Love the pretty inked backgrounds with the silhouette stamps, @mdscraholic. Really pretty cards. Good job using up all your class scraps! Love those ornament cards. I have lots of ornament and basic shape dies. Insetting the diecut ornament into the negative space looks like a really cool way to use them. Or did you set the ornament on top of the square? In the photo they look inlaid, but they are pretty either way.
cmpeter, I really like the clean and simple look of those stamped card fronts. Very elegant.

grammadee, it wasn’t me with the skate dies, but your cards are wonderful and now you’ve tempted me. That Santa on the sled card is especially adorable!

Had some fun last night creating cards with my granddaughter, Emma. She really wanted to play with my brushes. So I let her do the star "glow" and the snow with an embossing folder. She cut out some of the trees and then got bored LOL. I ended up finishing them this morning.

If you need help figuring out how to host your photos in order to share them here, please check out THIS THREAD for easy (I promise) instructions and a place to practice. Hi, Michy, I tried following that link and it opened a second instance of the same thread. I would love to share a few cards and I am gathering that just pasting photos into this thread is not going work, correct? If I post photos of them in the cardmaking subReddit, can I link the images that are there in here?

I would love to share a few cards and I am gathering that just pasting photos into this thread is not going work, correct? If I post photos of them in the cardmaking subReddit, can I link the images that are there in here? Well that’s no good! I’ve copied what I wrote In that thread below, and I’m also going to try linking the thread again here: 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/131927/wanna-learn-post-pictures-com********** Here's the thread to help you with how to post photos here using PostImages. If you use another site, I can't help you (sorry), BUT...maybe someone else can. So, this is the thread to practice posting pics, and for asking questions about posting pics To be clear, I am 1000% computer illiterate. If I can do it, anyone can. These instructions are made using my laptop. If you're using a phone, the location of these choices on your screen may be in different places. 1. Make yourself an account at PostImages 2. click on UPLOAD (upper right) 3. In the middle of the screen, click on DO NOT RESIZE MY IMAGE and select "for message boards" from the drop down menu 4. In the middle of the screen click on UPLOAD IMAGES to select which images you you want to upload from your device (phone, computer, tablet, etc) VOILA: your images are now in your MY IMAGES on postimages. Now, to then bring the image into a thread here <------ its super easy, I promise! 1. Navigate to MY IMAGES (upper right) in PostImages 2. click into your GALLERY and then click on the image you want to post. 3. Once into the selected photo, click on SHARE 4. Copy the url for HOTLINKS FOR FORUMS 5. Paste the url into the BODY of a post (you don't need to click on anything over here on proboards) BOOM! Your photo is here. See, told ya it was easy

MDscrapaholic, your tree cards are really pretty. Isn't it fun to play with inks with the grandkids? Shakti, your cards are gorgeous! That birthday card is so elegant and masculine. And I love the way your yule card folds. Of course the colours are beautiful, too. Such alot of work, but anyone receiving one of these will feel really special.

Such alot of work, but anyone receiving one of these will feel really special. Thank you very much! Both were inspired by/based on formulas from one of my Stampin' Up demonstrators! She had a video recently about letting the patterned paper do the work of giving cards a masculine feel. Which was awesome, because he was my first December birthday and I was completely stumped about what to do for him from sometime in early November when I started thinking about it until I saw the video last week. I think it's even SU DSP I got in some premium program or something. The blue cardstock in the holiday card is leftovers from the last time I made holiday cards -- almost twenty years ago! I started working on it in August, or maybe even July, so I had plenty of time to shop around to match the rest of the materials. I made myself cutting diagrams so I could trim multiples and assemble in batches, so it wasn't too onerous. I also do kit cards, both SU and Club Scrap, but I'm not sure they count as "my creations" to post.

Here are a few Christmas cards I made with the My Favorite Things Peaceful Dove and Swish dies. It's inspired by a card I saw on their Instagram feed. Note to anyone who buys the swish die...it's not as easy as it looks. The swishes are different sizes so you need to keep them in order. If you number them make sure they are all facing the same orientation or the numbers are useless...ask me how I know.

shakti - such elegant cards. I need to try incorporating more patterned paper into my cards! Pinklady - the swish was worth the effort, love that with the peace dove. I do a 12 days of Christmas cards thing for my mother-in-law and my niece. Every day starting today, I mail them one card - 12 in total. It's fun to see the actual order in which they arrive (I number the envelopes). They both seem to really enjoy it (MIL has saved last year's cards and already put them out on display for this year). I feel like I make so many cards, it's a joy to give them to loved ones that really appreciate them. Here are the two that I am mailing out today. Santa for my niece and the house for my MIL. Santa is using the Lawn Fawn Beachy Christmas and the house is from The Stamp Market (and a total CASE of the design on her site).

This is why I have two SU demonstrators -- my local hosts craft nights in her home (not just paper crafts/SU), but Connie has an active web presence, publishes a tip video and a great card formula video every week, and holds quarterly virtual craft retreats.
