We are having people over for the first time in a few years. We usually eat around 4:00. Dh thinks noon is better.

We normally eat around 4, but DS has to work this year, so it will be closer to normal dinner time 530ish.
Noon is way too early in my opinion. I am not ready for a big heavy meal that early, nor do I want to get up at the crack of dawn to stick my hand inside a turkey.

Apparently we are the only people on the planet that eat at actual dinner time lol. We usually get together around 5:30 but don’t eat until about 7:30pm. We also dress up a bit.

We are having appetizers at 3:00, dinner by 4:00. If I was hosting noon is too soon as I'd have to be up before the sun to get the meal cooking!

5 pm. We have a small group who only have one place to go so no splitting the day. When I had to split the day we’d eat at 11 am at one house and 3 pm at the other.

3 or 4, not sure which yet. Probably going to be 3. That will give everyone time to eat, then rest a bit before dessert. Then still have DS get to bed at a normal time.

Whenever I get it ready. LOL. It's just us and MIL, no guests arriving, so we have some flexibility.

My family and DH family growing up was as soon as it was ready.. usually noon time.
Same goes for us as a family.
Last few years we have been doing Thanksgiving with friends and they are a little later.. I think around 2:00ish.
I like early to get it done and cleaned up. Relax awhile and then do leftovers..

I always aim for 2:00.
I have adult kids that have other places to go in the evening.

1 or 2 pm. Then people don’t have to travel too early or late. (Everyone not local drives about one or two hours)

See, 7:30 is SUPER LATE to me for dinner time on any day. it’s on the late side for me too - but it’s normal for my parents. And i think we eat more like 7pm not 7:30pm. I swear my mom considers eating dinner before 7pm borderline inappropriate lol.

It's just us and DD16 so... we typically eat dinner at 730-830 on a regular day but holiday dinners are always earlier - mid-afternoon ish and then if anyone's hungry, there are leftovers. I don't serve lunch on holidays - just appetisers

We would do that, but typically on holidays and weekends, we only eat 2 meals either breakfast or lunch and then dinner. Because of that (and no one snacking "to save room"), we are usually pretty hungry by 4.

Eating after 6 is never ok with me 🤣 are you a morning person? Because our house of night owls tend to eat meals later than most...breakfast mid-morning, lunch mid-afternoon, dinner between 730-830...

We usually eat at about 3:30 p.m. This gives me time to make dressing, and get our large turkey (about 22/23 lbs.) prepped and in the oven by 9:00 a.m. I have time then to enjoy visiting with company, as well as do all the last-minute preparations and finish making the rest of the meal.

Normal dinner time for us which tends to be around 6:00-6:30. My mom used to always serve it around 1:00 or 2:00 but I think that’s way too early to be eating such a heavy meal.

Nothing wrong with it, I'm typically in bed by 730/8 unless I'm at work though. Most of us here have early start jobs and will be working the following day, if not that night(son who works 3rds will probably have to work that night as it'll be considered to be Friday shift)

My preferred time is between 1 and 2. Then you can have a sandwich for dinner while everyone watches the football games. Lately we've needed to have it on Friday and after three.
