Ugh. I was tempted to get this month’s Elle’s studio too because if the cards. I DO NOT NEED THEM. I’m yelling at myself- let’s see if it works. Lol

As I’ve said before, combining things together is like one of my favorite parts of scrapbooking. I'm impatient, I think. I think I planned this month's spreads better. I really do think I'm getting better at PL. This month, I kind of had a process. I printed all my photos and then I went to my dining room table and mapped out where all the photos were going to go, grouping them. Then I picked my page protectors. The next morning, I pulled out the two kits and mapped out where I wanted journaling cards to go and then where I had room for just regular cards. Then I just pulled a page and added embellishments. I think if I could just dig deeper with gathering supplies, I would be able to combine things better. I am finally editing photos for January, I have the first 2 weeks done and put into the album, now I just need to get the other pockets filled. I've been enjoying the photo editing process and am going to ride that wave until I burn out on it again. I've found I can edit photos while watching my trash TV shows (Real Housewives & I'm trying to catch up on all the VPR drama) better than when I'm watching a scripted show, so if you have any trash TV I should watch, let me know! This is awesome. I rarely ever edit, it's just not something I have the patience for.

I'm trying to hold myself back. Unfortunately my yarnie friend also showed me a batch of new colors for a yarn I really like working with so I'm trying to hold myself back from that too.

I wish I was better at contributing to these boards! Ack. Well, I had some free time today, and loved catching up on the last two pages of conversation and seeing your beautiful PL layouts!!! I'm doing 2022 PL in 2023 intentionally. Do I still share here? Here's January, February, and March. (In truth, I go back and add to these later, at least one more page but sometimes up to four pages per month.) But I don't go to the trouble of photographing them and all. Because life. Haha. These are overwhelmingly Elle's Studio products. I'm subbing to AE to work on 2023 but that may not happen until 2024. Did I mention life? http://instagram.com/p/CnPiO6LJqeg http://instagram.com/p/CoffPaovLpT http://instagram.com/p/CpnbjTwPo3e PL-style documenting is still my favorite.

scrappieannie your pages are just beautiful! I stopped my Elle’s sub because I didn’t like some of the colors but you make everything work so great! I had to laugh- I was putting things in my cart there this morning - you know, just in case and I liked the eat, sleep, ___ repeat card and was thinking how many variations people could use that for based on their lives. I must say “slime” wasn’t one that occurred to me but it’s perfect! Very cute.

I must say “slime” wasn’t one that occurred to me but it’s perfect! Very cute. Thanks for your kind words, and LOLOLOL about slime! It was a big part of our lives for a moment there. I hear you on colors. I think that is a common experience with kits from all the manufacturers. Sometimes the palette doesn't speak to me or it's too broad. A helpful tactic I use with Project Life pages is to focus on one item in the kit—usually, a multicolor journal card—and make other elements on the layout work with that. In the pages above, my anchors were... Jan: title card. Feb: heart chart card. Mar: numbered journal card. Every other journal card, sticker, label, or embellishment I chose complemented those items. It helps narrow the palette of the kit into a tighter color combination (one that excites me more). Anyway, there's my unsolicited tip!

jeremysgirl I think your pages are lovely, and I really like the idea of creating your pages around the themes of your photos. @scrappieannie your pages make me want to subscribe to those kits again, you use the products beautifully.

I have finally made a real start in my 2023 album. I've completed one 12x12 page and printed out a few photos for Jan. I hope to have all my Jan photos printed and in page protectors by the end of the weekend, and if I'm feeling really motivated I might start on Feb.

I've edited and printed all of January's photos and started working on February. Now all I need to do is make the actual pages! How's everyone else doing so far this month?

How's everyone else doing so far this month? I had good intentions of printing out the rest of my Jan photos but haven't gotten there yet. I've decided I'm going to create a calendar page (like the ones Doodlebug recently released) by using a calendar layered on patterned paper from my stash. I envision it as a sort of overview of the big events in the month, but also a good place to include things that often don't make it into my album at all, like days I work in the office, or the follow up vet appointments I've had with my cat.

I was able to do a PL catch up this weekend so now I'm right up to date. I will say that I'm loving having the SC DK kit...my spreads go so much quicker now. My only complaint is that I'd like more 4x6 cards and I could do without the crappy stamps!

I’m caught up to March, and it’s all because I bought a printer to use at home. It makes such a difference! I’m finding that I have barely any photos this month and I don’t anticipate taking many more. Just not a lot going on compared to the first of the year, and we are making a lot of plans starting in April. What does everyone do if you have a light month?

I’m caught up To this current week and I already have my page for this week planned with some elements done due ti an event happening this week so I know what direction I want my page to go.
I do weekly - if it’s a lighter week, I welcome it. Some weeks I have to use flips to include more pics/stories so it’s nice to not have to do that. If I’m light on stories and pics I use it as a chance to include stuff I don’t always due to lack of space like stuff about my adult kids or what I’m eating, watching, etc. I also like the chance for more embellishment type pockets which I don’t always have much room for due to lack of space.

Very behind. I find myself more behind doing the memory planner than I was with a traditional 9x12 album. I just numbered several weeks yesterday and created some envelopes to gather photos and materials to try to get organized so I can catch up. I am probably 5 weeks behind. I love the idea of the memory planner, but it is definitely more work than just sticking cards in pockets.
I am going to try to get a couple of weeks completed this week and see if that sparks some motivation to get the rest of it caught up.

What does everyone do if you have a light month? I do like paget does, I'll include what we're watching/reading/listening to, my meal plan for the week, screenshot of the weather, front page of my local newspaper, etc.

What does everyone do if you have a light month? I do mine by the month, not by the week. I don't even group my photos by week. Some months I might have 3 pages and some months I have 9.

Sorry for jumping in here... I don't do PL pages, and if this has been discussed here I missed it b/c I have not read up thread. But have any of you heard from sleepingbooty? She has not posted on 2 Peas for a couple of months. I PM'd her last week, but have not heard back. Wondering if anyone is in touch with her on other platforms, or have heard about her from someone else? Not stalking. Just worried.

I'm pretty sure she said she was going to be busy the first part of the year but I could be mistaken. I might follow her on Instagram but I can't remember what her username is. Let me investigate and I'll post back. Hopefully someone else will have some info. 🤞🏻

I've actually made some progress on Jan this week, printing out the last of the photos and getting them into my album, along with filling all the pockets with cards and papers. Tonight I've been working on adding journalling to some of the pockets, and pulled out some specific embellishments I know I want to use. I'm hopeful that this weekend I can get Jan finished.

i returned to PL this year and have set up the entire year in my album. on saturday, i filled in photos and memorabilia for jan- march. i am in love again!!
i’m doing monthly spreads and feel that i can complete the year with this format. i purchased the echo park(?) line with pages for each month and i love having an outline to fill in.
i printed a large batch of photos to start but i’ll probably just use my selphy going forward unless there’s a large event.

I've got one 12x12 layout to go and Jan will be all finished. I've spent the last week focusing on finishing up all the pocket pages. I did my title page for this year (and last year!) and am really happy with how my album is coming together. I'm not quite sure how I want to scrap the last page for Jan so I'm going to leave it until I find a sketch/layout/magically find my own mojo.
My goal this coming weekend is to print my Feb photos and get them into page protectors.

I've actually achieved more than I thought, printing all my Feb and Mar photos and getting them into page protectors. I've also added some theme specific pieces I want to make sure I use, journaling cards, and added pp or pocket cards to most of the other pockets. I'm feeling super accomplished!
How is everyone else going with their albums? Are you happy with what you've done so far? Do you have goals you're hoping to accomplish during the rest of April?

I haven't touched my supplies in over a month! We did a spur of the moment floor reno in our family room (my space is in a corner of the room) so that meant all the things went into my space. But we finished last weekend and everything got put back and is ready to go. Possibly this weekend I'll get working on my album again.

I've been editing photos from March but haven't printed any since last month. I got an adjustable riser for my desk so I can stand while I scrap and it's definitely better than trying to sit and scrap. I pop into the my home office/craft space and work on a layout for a few minutes between cleaning and other stuff I have to get done around the house and it's been really helpful. I feel like I can get more done this way.
