How to pump gas. I work gas station at a grocery store and it's astonishing how often we have to give lessons on how to do it.. and no, I'm not talking about new young drivers, I'm talking people driving $60k+ cars arguing with us there isn't a screen on the pump with directions, when there is ot they seriously don't know any of the process..Or that they can't slide their card because it has a chip in it-we don't have chip reader or the tap thing you card will slide if it has a strip and there's not a chip reader.. and I don't mind explaining or giving a lesson, but they always have a bad attitude about it..
Also inside the store when we have to scan both items if they're on sale buy one get one free. 🙄 we all have to scan them both, and yes them ringing up half price is the same as buy one get one free- can't count how many times I've had that argument. Really I could go on and on with work related stuff, there's so much...
Also wish people knew to not give dogs those cheap rawhides..
and how to pull their car into a median in the middle of a highway correctly.

I wish people knew that you can’t call on a Wednesday and ask for a complete custom detailed cake for Saturday. Not gonna happen. Of course now I’m weddings only so that’s helped with that!
I also wish people would LISTEN to my answering machine message. It clearly states that I’m not providing baked goods outside of weddings. So leaving a message saying “I need a baby shower cake please call me” will not get you a return call.

I wish that people who see my blind child would realize that he can hear and understand everything you say. They will talk and be so rude right in front of him. In that same turn, don’t walk or cross right in front of him and then be surprised that he hits you with his cane. Last time it happened the lady yelled, you should watch where you are going….. lol he is, that’s the whole purpose of the cane. I wish parents would teach their kids about disabilities. I know kids are curious, but it’s so hard sometimes. It’s just heartbreaking the things that are said to him, or about him, when he is right there. He is still a 6 yr old boy, he wants friends like other typical 6 yr olds. I fear how bad this going to be as he gets older. I’m obviously having a really hard time this week, people are just so rude and ignorant some times. That breaks my heart. People are so entitled and awful. It’s just unbelievable. I am so sorry your son has to deal with that. Not even comparable, but a doctor told me that my ex-husband was never going to get better. XH was sitting right in front of him and understood everything. I followed the doctor into his staff room and told him in front of his entire staff how wrong he was. I was calm and collected and I am sure I embarrassed him in front of his staff but it was so unbelievable that he was so dismissive of someone who was ill. I am sad about everybody’s wishes. They seem so self evident. What I wish is that people understood they did not have to yell to get their point across. And I mean that particularly as to not yell at kids and disparage them.

I wish people knew that the escrow portion of their mortgage is not only out of the control of your mortgage company but is incredibly likely to increase yearly over the life of your loan. Plan accoordingly I opted out of escrow payments on our current mortgage. 🤷🏻♀️ It’s a little different in that I have to be prepared to pay the prop tax and insurance payment on my own, but, I like it much better this way. People should know this could be an option. I wish people knew that a “free right” is for stop lights, not stop signs. It is SO rude to pull in front of someone who is at a stop sign trying to make left turn and blocking their view because you think you don’t have to wait your turn because you are turning right. Is this only an Utah thing??

I wish everyone knew how much easier life would be if we had universal healthcare for all. No one would ever go bankrupt because they were ill or injured. One reason why I'm thankful to be Canadian! The best reason to have a universal medical system in Australia.

I just moved into a new position at work. It’s a “temporary work assignment” meaning they changed/moved my old job to another area (and that area is doing a shit job) so I’m learning the ropes. It’s all things to support the executives of the Fortune 500 company I work for. So calls, requests etc. if you’re nice to us we will go above and beyond to do whatever we can. But if you’re a nasty person that yells at us for 45 minutes because we moved your little tchotchkes on top of equipment and we have to replace said equipment we will only do what is required and we WILL make you follow procedures to the letter vs go beyond to make it easier. This one Karen is so bad half the team won’t deal with her. And she’s like the lowest level exec we support. The really big people have all been very nice so far and everyone says they are always like that. They learned the lesson to be kind to others.

Oh, oh oh, I have a few that are first world problems. Did you know that the fitted sheet has a tag on it, that tag goes in the upper right hand corner(facing the bed)? You never have to guess which is the right side to put on. Also if you put your sheet on diagonally from one corner to the next, you don't have to struggle getting it to fit. This one is so silly, I can't believe I never knew this. If you want to get the latest response on a thread, click on the "new" icon. I spent 19 years going to the last page of a thread looking for the latest post. This one will probably not be helpful to most of you, but just in case there is someone else like me out there, I am throwing that out. I told you they were dumb. My fitted sheets now have tags that say Bottom or Top on the correct side. I have never heard of putting a fitted sheet on diagonally makes it easier. I am changing sheets today and will try that. Thanks for that hint.

If there is room for someone to turn right while another driver is waiting to turn left, hopefully they use common sense and don’t block the view. When they do block my view if I’m the one turning left I agree that it’s very frustrating.

I wish people knew how disruptive it is to send students to school late or pick them up early. Yes, there are valid reasons for both, but when it happens daily in the morning and frequently in the afternoon, it's frustrating for the office as well as disruptive to the teachers and other students.

When they do block my view if I’m the one turning left I agree that it’s very frustrating. Never heard the term "free right" either. Does the OP mean when both cars are next to each other? As long as the car making a right turn comes to a complete stop before proceeding, then I can see them making a right turn while the car next to them is trying to make a left turn. But I do understand the frustration of having the view blocked. I get that a lot while trying to make a right turn. A bigger car will be on my left and they are often slowly creeping ahead so that I can't see if any cars are coming from the left for me to make a right on red or a right at a stop sign.

Since there are a lot of traffic complaints I’ll add mine.
There is a stretch of highway here where the left lane goes to a separate highway and the right two lanes make an almost 90 degree right to continue on to the current highway. There are several signs for at least a mile that say the left lane is exit only. Every.damn.morning the middle lane is almost stopped because of the amount of absolute assholes in the left lane that wait until the last minute to get into the lane going to the right. They do this because the right lane is stopped or slowed. It is stopped or slowed because those people have to stop or slow to let you assholes in! Get over earlier and it wouldn’t be a problem. (To clarify, it is NOT a zipper merge situation; it is an exit lane only and there is a mile at least of signs letting people know.)
My other annoyance ~ at a stop light where the lanes that have the green light are backed up. Because of this the people with the green light are doing the right thing and not entering the intersection until they know they can clear it if the light turns red because they know if they block it it only causes problems for the people going the other direction once their light turns green. This does NOT mean that the green light people are leaving space for the red light people to turn right on red; they are leaving space so that when there is enough space they can now go. You jackholes turning right on red are taking the space the green light people are needing, or in worst case scenarios are now blocking the intersection. 🙄
Lastly, my father who thinks there is no reason to stop at a stop sign in his neighborhood. Ever. His version of “slowing down to look” is slowing to the speed other people are actually driving through the neighborhood.
Basically my problem is with drivers who think they are more important than others.

I wish people knew to listen to your body, and not dismiss changes, or anything that doesn't seem quite right or normal.
Changes in bowel movements, the color, the frequency, or difficulty, should be noted
Same with color and frequency of urination.
Also, pain means something is wrong. It is literally a signal that you should not ignore.
Also, if a doctor blows off your concerns in the whopping ten minutes that is alloted to you, get a second opinion. It is worth it, even if it means paying out of pocket.

I wish people knew how to get along! Yes, you have your political and religious beliefs. I have mine. They are probably not the same, but I'm a nice person. I can respect your need to believe what you believe. Respect mine, and leave your options out of general conversation. Seeing people blame Trump or blame Biden for the most RANDOM shit that has nothing to do with the conversation or occasion at hand. WTF do you need to say that now? I wish politics were not on NSBR! It’s all so negative. Or tell me the good things that people are doing for the country. I am not comfortable sharing my point of understanding because I would probably get bashed. I am all for a great conversation but with open minded people who can discuss both peoples thoughts. politics on NSBR have ruined it, IMO.

I have another traffic vent. When there are two turn lanes next to each other you have to stay in the lane you started turning in. You can't veer into the other lane as you are turning. If you want to turn left at the next light then get in the freaking left turn lane in the first place. Yes, it means you can't go "free right on red" but thems the breaks. I deliberately take a longer way to work each morning to avoid this. I have been hit once, narrowly missed several other collusions because I pay attention and it ticks me off. Especially when it is Police cars doing it!

All of my regular king sheets have one corner with a tag that goes on the top left corner, or the bottom right except for a new set I got a couple of months ago and they are like yours in terms of the tag. My sheets are at all different price points as well. Weird. Laundry is my jam, and I have always been able to fold a fitted sheet like a boss. My sisters make fun of me and then ask me to straighten their linen closets. 😆 I can also put duvet covers on in a flash.

That using your bright headlights in regular traffic is blinding people going to the other way! Or it's the new LED headlights, or both. And I wish someone would do something about it before someone dies. Dh got a new car and would get flashed by almost every car who passed him, he felt so bad because he didn’t have his brights on. He ended up taking it in and the dealership readjusted them, they were aimed a little high by the factory. No flashes since then,

I don’t really think about it, I just know that the tag corner goes on DH’s foot end of the bed. We have a king size bed which is *almost * square and the sheets have elastic all the way around so I have to find the tag, put it at that corner and all is good. I’ve been buying the insanely inexpensive microfiber sheets when Costco has them on sale for under $20 a set. They’re as nice or nicer than than the sets I’ve bought that are four times the price.

I never realized until I became disabled and had to start using a wheelchair sometimes, which would have been in the last 3 years, how few businesses, including DOCTOR'S OFFICES, are ADA compliant! My own GP's office wasn't at all ADA compliant and I complained, it's partially been fixed, but not completely. And I live in freaking Florida where there are probably more people who need places to be ADA compliant than any other state! Last time I was at my doctor's, I was able to walk, but there was a woman in an extra-wide wheelchair. The interior doors did not have push buttons; my husband had to climb on chairs in a narrow passageway to open the door for her. I've been in many places without the push buttons, and in places where doorways barely fit my normal sized wheelchair.
So I wish more people realized what an issue this is. I can at least get out of my wheelchair if I have to (I use it on my bad days), but many people can't; what are they supposed to do?

A queen is pretty square, so probably doesn't matter where the tag is (can't remember the dimensions of a Queen). If a King or California King, definitely matters with the orientation of the tag. To my orientation for my King from the Bull and Bush sheets, when facing the bed I put the tag on the left lower, which would be the same as top right as it's a rectangle. This may be where thinking about rectangles and geometry comes in handy. Short and long sides. My kids' comforter for their twin beds from IKEA has 4 squares on one side and 5 square on the other, so I can determine which side goes on the long side. HTH

A standard queen is 60x80 A standard king is 76x80 A Cal king is 72x84 A Texas king is 80x98up I've never heard of a Texas king, that's a huge bed! I always thought a Cal king was the same width as a standard king and was just longer.

Middle school teacher here that teaches all students.
I wish people understood that people with developmental disabilities are real human beings with real feelings. I wish they knew that middle school kids with disabilities are still middle school kids and should be treated as such. That these kids have their own opinions, own desires, and have the right to be respected. I wish people knew that kids with disabilities can be accountable for their own actions and that they shouldn't get a pass because you think they don't know better. A large percentage of the time they know exactly what they are doing. I wish people had high expectations for these kids and don't discount them. People want to treat kids with disabilities as "cute" or "less than" and or as "the other". My cross category kids deserve respect and dignity.
I wish my principals and the teachers who teach typical kids knew this. It is so frustrating.

I can’t put the sheets on DD’s queen bed just any old way because they won’t fit on the mattress the wrong way. Thankfully those sheets are easier to see which is the long side. Most of our sheets don’t have a distinct directional pattern. With our king I definitely have to look for the tag because I can’t easily tell at a glance which side is the longer side.

I was helping my mother fold some sheets and was just saying that I really like that many of the sets come with the fitted sheet marked. Hopefully they are all moving to this.
I was taught to put on the fitted sheets using the opposite corner method as a small kid (and am now 58) but find that now with most fitted sheets having the deep pockets it is not as necessary.
If I help my mother change sheets there is a process that has to be followed including the top sheet put on back side facing up so that when you turn down the sheet and blanket it is showing the front side. We also have to do hospital corners. I will do hospital corners for my bed but we disagree on the top sheet method…I put on my top sheets front side facing up. 😄
