Thank you scrappyrabbit - yes - all the books were a success! And we all spent some time reading that evening in companionable silence.

Look at YOU, Linda , colouring that stamped image! Love the photos of people around the table and the alternating reds & greens behind them. And look, gramma: she is tilting elements and still keepiing the page clean and simple.

Gorgeous cards Shakti - I love the diagonal, and the use of the light brown with that gorgeous botanical/floral! grammadee - love in the gallery - stunning! I got 2 finished this weekend thanks to online crops: This one's title is not simply descriptive - it's a line from a song "Land of the Silver Birch" that I thought ALL good Canadians would be familiar with but apparently DH failed my test It mainly features the Spectrum Sherbet line. layout blue lake and rocky shore by kirstendrew, on Flickr this is mostly Vicky B "Fernwood", and my brand-new Pinkfresh alpha dies. layout 5 star dining by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Those cards are really cool, Shakti. Do you use a die for those diagonal cuts? Or do you do them at random? I have seen the Jaded Blossom card cutting plates, but have not purchased any of them as yet. Looks like a wonderful family outing at the lake, Linda. That sky & clouds pp is the background. Off to Flickr to take a closer look at your fun pages, kitbop...

Thanks everyone! It was before I got my P6 grammadee. Jennifer McGuire showed the technique to get 2 cards from one stenciled (or whatever) panel. It doesn’t show well in the photo, but the diagonal brown and mushrooms ones use her technique to add texture with a scoreboard (since I didn’t yet have a die cut machine). I thought I didn’t like that print and planned to donate the cards, but I realized yesterday that it’s grown on me.

use her technique to add texture with a scoreboard (since I didn’t yet have a die cut machine). How cool is THAT!? Adding texture old school with a scoring plate and stylus! What a great way to spruce up cs!

played with black backgrounds for my NYE photos. This page will be the January page in my family calendar NEXT year. When the Luna Paste dries, I need to outline the stenciled words. That stencil was too fine for that medium. I had hoped to use VB gold glaze, but the bit I had left in the jar was dried up. So I went with what I had on hand. January '24 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And here are the pages for my winter album. Please note that dgs in the photo on the right is blowing on a NYE noisemaker, not downing a bottle of beer, as it may appear... POINTS: three 12x12" pages created & shared (66). Eight photos for the Donna challenge (8). S/I-1. T-2. W/T-6, 8, 11. N/S-7. Total:80.

Thank you nylene - DH picked me up a 180-sheet pad of photo realistic paper at a yard sale before Christmas. Not something I would have bought myself - I find photo-realistic papers hard to work with - but I'm trying to look at it first when choosing papers and I've actually managed to use a few already - this layout included.

Our DGGD loves dinosaurs so her grandpa bends over backwards to make sure she can see every dino exhibit. I had to laugh when he bought dino costumes to prance around the backyard with her. Dinosaur Island Dino-Mite All of your layouts are just amazing, but I really love that little girl's smile. She is just precious!

simple one - which shouldn't have taken as long as it did, lol - just cardstock, $tree alphas, a slimline die, a circle punch, and a QK anchor die Not sure on the PP - it's another DH thrift store find - cut-aparts are EP, sticker is from deep in my stash, alphas are from scrapbook.com, and circles are both punches
