I need to get better at making my own embellishments I've been making an attempt to use my dies a lot and my stamps more. I also sometimes forget that I can actually draw things or print them off my computer and fussy cut them. I'm no artist, but I copy well. Our big news is DH has Lyme disease! It was yet again a case of having to put up enough of a fuss to get more in-depth blood tests. I'm glad he got the diagnosis but I'm sorry he had to push! We took DS into ER when he was 4 with a bright Bulls-eye rash on his back. We were sure it was lyme disease. But we'll never know because the ER doc said "we don't have lyme disease around here. It's just a spider bit". Um, yeah, this area is a hot spot of Lyme! I'll always wonder if it was Lyme. He had significant learning disabilities diagnosed in grade 4 (not earlier, because he's smart he worked around the system...) and if it was lyme disease, it could easily have affected him that way.

linda You are just flying through pages! Way to go! jjpeapea I'm in the same boat with you that I'll feel more of a sense of relief when my 2022 PL album is complete. I actually put it aside and worked on two 12 x 12 pages for my 2023 album and it was SO enjoyable to do again! I didn't get as much done as I wanted because my kids weren't into mom getting a break, but it still was nice to enjoy scrapping again. I'll eventually get back to the 22 album, but for now I'm just going to enjoy this. I hope the meds help with your DH's lyme. We have one at our house on a protocol for Lyme too and its so nice when the doctors listen to you!

Ok, I want to make sure I understand the new point tally. I get my points just for making my page, then one point per item on the list I did.
So I've done 5 pages this month, I get 5x21 + 30 for the items I've done.
Then next month the item list starts all over.
Is that right?

boymom51 point for making the page/card/project, then the size based points (10/15/20 based on size), 1 more point if you shared it here somewhere. The Donna challenge gives you 1 point for every photo you scrap. Then the challenges - 1 point the FIRST time you meet each challenge this month. And then there are bonus points based on how many challenges you meet each month - those both re-set monthly. Certain challenges have their own points (sketchy saturday, card challenges, Donna etc...) and of course there are points for getting crafty (hourly). I've been making an attempt to use my dies a lot and my stamps more. I also sometimes forget that I can actually draw things or print them off my computer and fussy cut them. I'm no artist, but I copy well. I'm trying to use mine more also - as well as the Cricut and the nuvo drops...

That's so glad he got the diagnosis. It took my sister a couple years to get hers. She believes she got it as a child/teen, we grew up in an area with a lot of ticks (always had to do a tick check after running around outside).

It's a new shiny month! I've totaled up my January points, counted my challenges, and added in my bonus. Next up is reprinting my challenge sheet so I can earn more challenge points this month. I'm excited for the 28-4-28 challenges (but I need to get cracking on the ones I'm hosting) and am planning to try and complete them all.
Dh is home sick the next couple of days - his blood pressure was WAY up yesterday and after an ER visit, he's on new meds and off work the rest of the week. He sees his PCP tomorrow. I never seem to get as much accomplished when he's home for some reason.

I remembered I said I would share valentines about 20 minutes AFTER they were sealed and out in the mailbox. Luckily I had a few to hand deliver and one waiting for a letter. The mini ones are for students. Each student valentine got a sticker like this one (different verses).

Well done jjpeapea - that many cards and that much die-cutting is a lot of work. Love the truck! Linda - sorry your DH is not well I need to finalize January points so I can move on. I have 3 columns on my challenge sheet, 1 column/month, so I don't need to reprint. I can't wait to play with the 28-4-28 challenges. Today's is fun and generic: 1 photo, 2 papers, 3 word title! I'm going to try and get it done tonight.

Ooooh the 28-4-28 looks super fun today. Have a photo in mind. BUT, now to find the time Bigger news? We are seriously thinking of making an offer on a home on Gull Lake. It is such desirable area, that homes that are on the market don't last a week unless there is something seriously wrong about the home, or it is really over priced. We've looked at 4 homes, and they have all been gone in 2 days with multiple offers. The house we are considering is not going to market but will be sold off market. Thus no website or professional photos. Word of mouth between realtors, and in this case in the same office. We are the first to look at it. We did a virtual tour this afternoon. The views are amazing (a plus), it is smaller and we would have to store equipment elsewhere (boats, RV, and such-a negative) But it is on the main lake and 4 minutes by boat to the yacht club. DH and I have decided we just cannot put DS back in HS here in Oregon. The drug issue is too great, and with all the work he is doing at OYCP we really feel he needs a fresh start. The school has done ZERO on supervising him and keeping him safe from something that is PART OF HIS DISABILITY. OYCP was their solution. It may be a god-send, but is is hard! He started academic classes on Monday. We get to see him 3/4-7, 4/15, and 5/26-31. With any luck we will be moved before he graduates on June 14 from OYCP.

cmpeter , I am so sorry about your DH's diagnosis. I'm glad that there is something they can do for him. Hugs. jjpeapea , I love your Valentines. That little truck is so cute. You will bring smiles to lots of people. It seems like lately I remember to take photos of my cards the day after they are mailed! Glad I'm not the only one. angel97701, good luck with the house buying and selling. It sounds like you are doing the right thing for Pete. I have totaled my Jan points and will start over for Feb. I was surprised how many of the challenges I met without really studying the print out. I really like this new points system. Thanks, kitbop , grammadee and any others who added input.

Fingers crossed angel97701 ! Buying a house is such a huge commitment. It would be fantastic to be moved before DS is out of OYCP! It sounds lovely...how many square feet? Two levels, 2566 sq ft; downsizing will be good (at least that is what I am telling myself). Three bedroom, huge family room downstairs (19' x 27') Master on main. Lake view across the living room, dining room, sun room. All new remodel last year. Family is moving to Twin Cities to be closer to college kids. They spent a lot of money to turn around and sell it. It really looks like they intended to stay there awhile. Even put insulation in the interior walls for sound! Crafting? Yeah nope, lots of phone calls regarding home today, and packing, more packing, etc.
Still waiting on loan approval letter, hoping that we are the first offer in . . . and praying that it is accepted!

Anyone scrapping this weekend? I've been scrapping this evening and will probably get to tomorrow as well. Sunday DD16 has a backpacking hike and drop-off is about an hour from here and early. We'll probably stay in that area until pickup but I'm not sure we've made actual plans yet.
I got a small photo order today so that's what I'll be working on. I've been ordering photos every Monday this year and getting them scrapped before the next order arrives. So I'm actually pretty caught up for 2023 in both my family album and the big kids album. And I've been working on older photos -and by older I mean anything from December 2022 on back - today I finished up December 2008 (that just leaves April-mid October to do for 2008)

Honesty here, I was having a major melt-down last night/this morning as the house we have an offer accepted was listed as active. Until we have our home under contract sellers are still able to rescind their acceptance. However, our realtor told me that once interested parties found that there was an accepted offer they cancelled their viewing of the home. I was also feeling behind on getting the home ready for photos & video. But now that has been moved to Thursday, so more breathing room. DSD has agreed to come help, especially her Dad in packing his office so I can concentrate on the rest of the house. We hired a Cleaning service to come in and clean the house for photos next week. It looks absolutely fabulous! Kitchen cabinets cleaned, walls washed, doors washed 3 bathrooms cleaned, dusting, window sills cleaned. It would have taken me week to do everything this wonderful crew did for us today in 4 hours! Finally had letters from DS17 today, and one from another Cadet that DS17 has been sharing the verse of the day with during evening time. Still much work to do to pack the house, and have the second quote on moving our household goods coming on Monday. Planning DS17's first break time 3/4-7. Right now plan is to list the evening of 2/21, with open house on 2/23-26. Please pray for a quick sale at or above our asking price. Thank you all for your support! Plans are moving forward, pun intended. To all my realtor friends, folks who know people who want to move to Bend . . . our home will be listed with Ludwick & Robinson around 2/21. We are planning an open house 2/23-26. We have a beautiful home on 6 acres perfect for horses or 2 steer. Lovely home with 4,000 sq ft, 5 bedrooms two full baths two 3/4 baths 4 stall garage, 2 heated garages with tons of storage 30' x 50' and 28" x 40", older barn with two storage areas. New green house 8' x 12' built during Covid. Area for raised bed garden. Close to MVHS, excellent area to raise a family or have lots of room for guests. Please pass the word!
Crafting not even an option until after 2/26, then maybe a little? I will miss all of my online special friends!

I fully meant to fully participate in 28-4-28 but then had a sore throat Jan 29, fever next day, feeling better throughout the week when suddenly on Feb 4 I lost my sense of smell. You know where this is headed - we all took a test and it was COVID for all three of us. Looking back my daughter's tiredness and sniffles on the 28th and 29th were the first clues ... so I haven't been to my volunteer job for two weeks and I had major "fuzz brain" for about 4 days. We all seem fine now. My sense of smell is returning but very very weak.
So I have two pages for 28-4-28 that I will post tomorrow and some ideas for more, but I'll just do as much as is fun.

jjpeapea, I am so sorry about your Covid diagnosis. I hope you will soon get your sense of smell back. I had no taste or smell from Halloween until a few days before Christmas. I missed out on all that good Thanksgiving food! Take it easy and don't overdo it. I'm glad you are on the mend!

jjpeapea - glad you are on the mend! I feel like I *always* approach scrapbooking as "what would be fun"? and not "what should I do". Probably why I jump around in years and products so much. angel97701 - good luck this week! Doesn't sound like you can stop to even catch your breath. what a year you've had... busy busy stressful stressful.

Taking a quick break to be off my feet! Packing, sorting, garage sale--donate--garbage? Playroom is almost done, DS's domain that had a cyclone in it for several years. Two weeks to sort out lego, transformers, hot wheel, nerf guns, model cars and planes, figures from "Planes" and "Cars' movies. Just a few more hours. Then to straighten my craft room. Finish the kitchen and bedroom. Move a few more pieces of furniture.
Went to the accountant today, and submitted taxes, filled out the tax organizer online too. Have a few more things to do for taxes. Which of course need to be done in the middle of all of this.
Better get back to work!

Main house cleaned and shiny for photos and video today. I'm done poke me with a fork I am exhausted. Now to help DH finish packing his room by next Monday. He flies out Tuesday for a last minute business trip, and the carpets get cleaned prior to the open house. I will take him to the airport. Not sure if I will stay until after the cleaning, or just head out in the Motor home to visit my Mom until he is back on Thursday morning. Then most likely to the Seattle area to visit DSD. Still so tired!
