We can see the floor in the 900 sq ft space that DH had covered with all kinds of model airplanes, gliders, etc. Been in his upstairs office since Friday! The area where I do my "business related filing and work" has everything off the floor. He is ALMOST done, and we still have some time tomorrow.
Originally I was going to take the cat to the In-laws, and go visit my Mom with the dogs in the motor home. Now I am rethinking that plan as there is two feet of snow expected on the pass on Tuesday. DH has a last minute business trip planned last Friday to Tucson Tues-Thurs. So I may take the motor home and park it at the airport so we are off property. The carpets get cleaned on Tuesday at 9, and we don't want the dogs in the house after-before the open house on 2/23-26.
In other news, my DS23 in Job Corps is graduating this Friday, 2/24. My DH and I want him to move to MN with us, for the same reasons we want DS17 out of this state. We invited him to live with us until the move. He has agreed, and knows there are very strong boundaries. It's been an emotional 72 hours, with packing cleaning, and working through things with DS23. DS17 had his mentor visit on Saturday, so I got a first hand report that he seems to like it at OYCP. I am so tired, time to crash!
BTW, where is everybody?

angel97701 - goosebumps - that's an amazing and emotional development with DS, and I wish you all the success and love as you navigate the re-relationship! How is the CRAFTY CREW plugging along? Final week of February - can you believe it? I have all the 28-4-28 challenges done except for 3. ironically, 2 are Linda 's (water, space) which should be super easy and I just need to choose my photos more carefully! It has been a very scrappy month for me. Watching Shimelle has got my mojo flowing -- that, and she makes me relax about my choices, I don't feel like everything has to be "right" or following "rules"!

kitbop - I'm sorry - I really did try to choose words that would be broad and able to be interpreted in various ways. I think I have my last word picked out but we'll see if it ends up being what I use or not. I'm missing 7 so far from the 28-4-28 but I'm not stressing about it - if I get them all, awesome. If not, it's okay too.I'm scrapping and getting memories preserved - so its a win either way

Usual bumps in the road with DS23, the Job Corps is pressing him to stay in Oregon and do his apprenticeship here. Finally got the full story from his lead instructor. My poor DS is so confused and trying to please everyone. He's not answered my messages or calls this evening. Have not heard from DS17 for almost a week. I guess he thinks since his break is about a week away he doesn't need to write letters anymore. DH is in Tucson, left early Tuesday morning, thankfully home tomorrow.
Tuesday was carpet and tile cleaning day at the house. I washed all 5 dog beds at the laundromat that has oversized washers, so those are nice and NOT SMELLY. Then took all three German Shepherds to the self-wash. After 2+ hours they are all temporarily NON-SMELLY. Today I managed to snag a cancelled massage appointment, so needed from all the packing and moving. Then a real plumber, not a general contractor looked at the funky toilet and fixed it up all nice.
Obviously crafting is the last thing that I can think of, so sorry teamies! But in the really good news department our home listed today. The realtor said there were already two calls, as he gave a sneak peak. Praying we get a decent offer quickly, but one never knows!

angel97701- I hope your house sells quickly and for a good price! Anyone scrapping this weekend? I'm doing a free FB crop with Scrapbook Generations and catching up on 28-4-28 - I only have the 22nd and today left - I also need to finalise my Sunday challenge.

Linda - personally, I think you should get a bonus for being the first to finish it! I will make the bonus too (that's my mantra) - we have until MARCH 7 to earn the bonus and I'm only 4 or 5 challenges away. One of those challenges is just to put away 50 layouts in an album so it's definitely something I can do, I'm just procrastinating! I also haven't check off my challenges for February because I was focused on the 28-4-28 challenges so I need to go back and do that ASAP. How IS everyone! Is Spring springing? Not here - we're having more snow now that any time earlier in the winter. How is scrapping going for you? Any fun purchases recently? There's yet another 49th and market collection hitting stores and I feel like I'm going to end up buying some of it. I've also picked up some Disney stuff for our upcoming trip. I hope everyone is keeping well!

personally, I think you should get a bonus for being the first to finish it! I think nylene actually finished before me Scrapping is going well. I'm finding time most days to scrap and so far mojo is cooperating. I did get happy mail this week - dh ordered some of the new SG Colourful collection for me and I took advantage of the free shipping day at ACOT and picked up Photoplay Camping with my Gnomes, an autumn stamp/die set, and a couple of pieces of paper - one of which I used yesterday and just have a small scrap left.

Sorry I have been so absent. I guess I was so focused on the challenges I just didn't think about this thread. I really enjoyed 28-4-28 this year and got a lot done. I still have stacks of photos but I'm a bit scrapped-out at the moment. I did make 4 cards today. Now my table is clean and it makes me want to mess it up with scrapping.
I was asked to "beautify" our Church bulletin board. It was just cork with a bunch of papers tacked up. I spent the weekend cutting tulips on my Silhouette and spent part of yesterday getting the background paper and borders up. DH went with me since I can't reach high enough and we got all the tulips "planted" along the bottom border. It looks really nice. I hope that's what they had in mind!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

I have spent 3 days cutting, gluing and getting it up and organized. I really hope they weren't hoping for something more sophisticated. I thought in 2 months I could pull up the tulips and "plant" summer flowers and fall leaves and snowflakes as the year goes on. Now I need to make sure I know about the upcoming activities and get them posted. Then to rotate all the items posted as they occur. They want photos of the activities, too, so that will keep me busy.

Absolute chaos with showing the home, working on paperwork for new home loan, DS23 coming home (major adjuestment) but he is clean, and has a decent attitude. He's helped alot with things around the house and working on the fence. It's just been cold and snowy for him to do other outside stuff. He may or may not move to MN with us.
Visit with DS17 over the weekend was special. He and his brother (bio--both adopted together) reconnected. He is a changed kiddo. He likes being clean and is enjoying the OYCP program. Just doesn't like the kids who screw around, or don't want to be there. Can not say I don't blame him.
Had a saga with my carpet cleaning. Finally some resolution but not from original company. Endless requests for paperwork on home loan. Lots of lookie lous on Zillow, 11 parties through during the open house, then just 1 showing in 2 weeks. Interest rates are up (thanks Biden), and the weather has been cold so folks aren't in the house shopping mode yet. Discouraging to say the least.
Crafting mojo? Zilch, nada, zero! Too exhausted. Sorry to be such a Debbie downer! I hope you all are enjoying your crafting!

I am way behind with the 28-4-28 challenges. I honestly thought that I would have finished them all in time to get the bonus, but alas, it was not to be!
Everything takes soooooo much longer without my MacBook. I am using DD's old 2015 MacBook, and I can't access my iCloud as easily - I have to do it through the web, and it takes ages for the papers and elements to download. I don't get the folder previews, so I have to open every folder first, or rely on my memory about what colours each kit are. Also, I cannot search my stash at all, so if I need a particular element, I have to guess what kits might have it, and wait for each piece to open. And searching for photos to use is just as time consuming. It actually sucks a lot of the joy out of scrapbooking for me.
My brother offered to buy me a new MacBook, bless him, and said I could pay him back over time. I didn't take him up on it, especially after he needed to spend $3000 on car repairs last week!

AussieMeg - wow, I can imagine that frustration. I have lots of cut files and printables saved and on my PC I cannot see previews a lot of time and so they sit unused! I do hope you can replace your MacBook soon Did any peas other than Linda and nylene accomplish all the 28-4-28? I squeaked in my final layout on March 7. I think it's the first time I've earned a bonus for February. I liked the challenges this month - they seemed a little less "specific", more inspirational and easy to fit into my scrappy style. I *really* liked the theme suggestions - Linda's and @grammas - they helped me choose photos and ways to approach the story without the dilly-dallying that often stifles my mojo! Hmm. Interesting. Sketches - quick start. Predetermined theme - quick start. Freedom of choice - loss of mojo.

woohoo! well done kitbop! I went through and organised my cut file and printables last year - it was time consuming but I can see the image as I scroll through the big folder now and I do use them more so it was worth it. I took each folder (with all the files) and made a subfile within it for all the files except the jpg...leaving the jpg in the original folder. I then named the subfolder with the original name and the original folder with a name that sorted all similar cutfiles together. So if it was a cutfile for a border of trees for instance - I named it Border - trees and that way all my borders sort together.

Just a quick check in from your non-crafting buddy. DS17 went back to OYCP, and just 4 days later was on a Level 3 disciplinar action. This mama's heart was shredded all week. Finally on Thurday I called and made some headway, got his vent letter and forwarded all 4 hand-written pages to OYCP. He took the blame for someone else . . . something he has done before (at school) just to get the questioning over. In his FASD messed up thinking, If he just confesses, then it will be over. He has learned through this experience but it has been super hard being on the outside and unable to help him. I am sure that even OYCP with all the kids they have seen don't understand FASD, as most professionals do not.
House front. A showing on Sunday & Tuesday to the same group. They would like to purchase the property to be the "on-site" location for a Virtual Public Charter School. They will need a Conditional Use Permit, which could make it take a lot longer to close. The board did approve the purchase on Wednesday night, but no offer sent as of Friday afternoon.
A cat bite from last Saturday got infected . . . antibiotics as 99% of all cat bites are infectious. Now the first yeast infection in oh 20 years. Plus back went out on Thursday but much better now.
SIL flew in to help her parents run a huge garage sale. She is wearing MIL out, but getting a lot done. FIL had another back procedure on Thursday, so he's just sitting and watching. MIL and SIL are being more than ruthless, and selling things for very little. They just want it gone.
I packed to get ready for photos, they are emptying the house for showing, did photos will it was still all loaded with personal items. ILs will move into a 55+ retirement community near SIL in the Twin Cities, and are taking very little. I am trying to be as ruthless, but DH is not cooperating. Going from 4,000 sq ft to 2,600 sq ft will be a challenge . . . as will be claiming the location of my craft room!
My Epsom PM-400 died again! It was only over 2 years old. So I ordered a new large photo printer, and have no place to set it up. It was on sale for less than a new PM-400, and with the ink sale I got 2 days shipping. So now to figure out how to set it up so I can print photos again. That's the closest things I've gotten to being the crafting mojo.

angel97701 - thanks for the update! Is DS's situation settled now? I think sometimes "understanding" our special needs kiddos is not as simple as "understanding FASD" or "understanding autism" (in my case). Personality plays such a role. You KNOW your boy, you can think like him. You understood his wish to avoid trouble (hence, admitting to something he didn't do) whereas I personally know a boy with FASD who thrives on WATCHING trouble so he would never take the blame (like yours did) and would enjoy watching the sh&*show. My boy on the spectrum would NEVER admit to something he didn't do, but would be absolutely PANICKED and in complete flight-or-fight mode if accused of something he didn't do. He would present as angry and on the verge of violence (although it would always be self-injury, he wouldn't hurt a fly, but when a boy is 6'2", teachers tend to think they're at risk...) I'm so sorry he had a rough return. Did he seem different while he was on break? Changed? I've been watching for an affordable Epson picturemate...but now I think you've talked me out of it, since you've gone through 2 in 2 years???

Yeah, they replaced the first one PM-400 with a refurbished unit, which what ever, didn't hold up. All my other Epson printers have lasted YEARS! So I was super disappointed. I will be sending a written letter when I recycle the unit with them. As well as ask for a refund for the unopened backup ink cartridge I have on hand. Didn't want to ever run out of ink. Going on to ask them some very direct questions!
They did give me a complimentary discount on Expression Photo XP-870, which was already on sale. So I got a large format printer for less than what I would have to get a new PM-400. Really an odd experience with Epson, after years of great printers!

Happy end of quarter teacherlisa angel97701 katiekaty gramma Linda AussieMeg jjpeapea sleepingbooty nylene natscraps nine boymom5 pantsonfire cmpeter cannmom kokomo37 We will need to report on points at the end of next week so you might want to look at your method of collecting now! I was behind this month and it flew by! But the new check-list way of keeping track is FAR simpler so not hard to catch up. The things most often forgotten are these points. Ahem, angel97701 , any time you've spent packing/reorganizing your scrappy supplies will count here! 10 points/hour of crafty or organization/cleaning time
bonus points for your check marks: how many challenges did you tick off in 1 month (so you get a bonus EACH month, not just the whole thing) 10 = 25 20 = 100 30 = 200 40 = 300 50 = 500 60 = 650 70 = 800 80 = 1000 all of them = 1500
